Boston Hotel Killings

The police are saying this guy preyed on women off Craigslist. His fiancee is saying that is impossible because he could never do such things. Usually the police are pretty good at their investigations so...do you think you could ever not know that your significant other is killing people?

I mean, you might be shocked but do you think there would be at least SOME signs when someone is a murderer or do you think some psycopaths are just that good at fooling every one around them. I mean there have been big serial killers who were trusted members of communities for over 30 years before they were caught...but it just amazes me that not even their significant other noticed anything.

Reminds me of that case last summer in Austria maybe where the father had the daughter kindapped and living in the basement with several children he fathered, and lives upstairs with his wife, the daughter's mother. How do you not know that there are people living in your basement?

One thing I would say is depending on whether or not you have a good health plan, look into the vaccinations you will need. The one hepatitis shot requires one dose now and one after 6 months. Plus if you dont have a drug plan they can be $. I go to Brock University part time and dont have a drug plan and am under 26 and need the stupid guardassil shot and looking at about $1000 for all vaccinations/medical and have been balancing out the cost by getting a vaccine here and there so I will be up to date when my NOA2 finally comes and I get an interview.

I'm pretty sure you only need Hepatitis B if you are 18 or under - just so you know and don't spend money on it if you don't have to.

I checked on the checklist, girls 14-26 need guardasil, everyone needs hep A and B, i didnt get all the shots when i was younger, and i need menengitis, and pneumonococal one there is a big list of the vaccines on the "how do I bring my spouse..." guide, I cant find it atm but I printed it out back in november. I got a prescription for all the shots $160*3 for HPV, 60*2 for hep, i think 120 for the other hep and $30-90 for the others and the cost of the medical still puts it close to $1000 which sucks as a student.

CanadaGardisil - 2nd shot
For my first two the nurse used a different syringe not the one that came with the vaccine because she said I had skinny little arms, however I had a different nurse for the last shot and she use the "auto-injector" that came with it - a weird needle thing that had a spring around it and well it hurt like hell. Mind you I did get a new MMR, tetanus, Guardassil and Hep B all in the same week ><, anyways maybe it was that spring thing that made it hurt more?

I would suggest you read this short article, http://marsvenuslivi...feet/#more-1685 there is a blurb about the 5 stages of dating that is prolly applicable to you. I totally agree with jundp, and try and not to take it too personal, your fiance is just being a man, and well they sometimes arent the best at expressing their feelings to women, and these thoughts are likely a passing phase.

I know there is a spot in the wiki that gives a bit of a list of things you would need. i have a couple of questions tho,

-for the police reports should i get both kinds? the nation wide name search and the back ground check? and can i get them without the paper from consulat saying i need to get them? im in ontario and would like to get that done now if i can ahead of time cus it can take some weeks to get them

- do i need to bring the copy of the I-129F file that we made with me? or just the items requested on the specific list along with pictures and proof.

I'm from ontraio as well and got the police check done in about 10 minutes from my local police station, the fingerprint one is only needed if you have a criminal record.
You can get them without a letter from the consulate, just tell them it is for immigration.

My packet 4 has intructions on where to go for the interview, bring $131 USD, bring in DS 156 and DS 160 both in duplicate, a list of prohibited items in the consulate, a list of the same documents outlined in the p3, a request for a new letter of intent and the perpaid 12 by 15 expresspost envelope.

I'm suggesting that you work on the 134 as fast as you can, at least with gathering the evidence. I waited until the beginning of the month and it has been a hassle and a half trying to get the bank letters. I tried to contact MTL and ask if they were necessary based on the evidence I have already gathered, but their e-mails are about as useful as boobs on a bull sometimes. The branches where my fiance has his accounts are in a different state, he didn't transfer them when he moved from KY to SC so the letters must be sent mailed to him then he has to send them to me. We are still waiting on one, and the other bank is well for lack of a better word stupid. He called and said he needed a letter drafted saying the date he opened the account, the balance and a summary of the deoposits over the past year. They said ok no problem. An hour later the manager from the bank said they could not comply with his request and that he had to call INS if he wants to file an affidavit of support... I
m crossing my toes that he can get through to someone today.. the interview is in 3 weeks today AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH wacko.gif

I did not take a letter from my fiance's bank, just pay stubs, a letter from his employer stating his yearly salary and his last bank statement. They were happy with that and did not ask for anything else.

Well I am very glad to hear this because getting these letters is turning out to be a nightmare, my fiance's banks are both outside of the state he is in now. We are waiting on the letter from Navy Fed to be mailed to him so he can send it to me, but his other bank, I can't remember the name of it atm told him that he needs to call INS and file paperwork with them and hung up....I'm sorry you need to call INS to get a letter from your bank outlinning the date the account was opened and deposit history and current balance???

CanadaI134 evidence question
I e-mailed MTL and am still waiting for a response, noticed that this topic was kinda covered in the ppl waiting for an interview at MTL thread but not really...
Did everyone bring this signed letter from the bank or have people been ok without it , it is the only think we don't have. We have tax returns, a statement from his employer, pay stubs and a statement from his bank showing balances. I'm just wondering how important the date the account was opened is if you have everything else...I found this

The Sponsor must submit in duplicate evidence of income and resources, as appropriate:

A. Statement from officer of the bank or other fincial institution where you have deposits, giving the following details regarding your account:
1. Date account opened;
2. Total amount deposited for the past year;
3 Present balance.

B. Statement of your employer on business stationary, showing:
1. Date and nature of employment;
2. Salary paid;
3. Whether the position is temporary or permanent.

C. If self-employed:
1. Copy of last income tax return filed; or
2. Report of commercial rating concern.

D. List containing serial numbers and denomination of bonds and name of record owner(s).

So is this like A, B or C and D if applicable or both A and B?

When shipping with UPS can you just start shipping things immediately or is it the same issue when you use movers that you need to cross the border before your things do?

I think it depends on the amount of stuff you are shipping, a lot of stuff may raise some questions but a couple of items prolly won't. It's just my opinion though. Prolly also depends on what you are shipping, best guess is prolly to call them and ask.

CanadaFreaking out about visit...
I have been flying to see my SO for a year now and everytime I go I bring a suitcase and a carryon and the suitcase has been loaded with clothes and stuff so that I have to ship less when I move. The longest I have stayed is 2 weeks and last time I went for 4 days and had a suitcase full. I crossed at the Peace Bridge by bus and no one gave me a hassle about what was coming in with me. And my suitcase contained way more than what I needed for 4 days.. lol I even brought my rollerblades and a vase. And as for saying fiance/boyfriend I will explain what happened to me the last time I crossed.
Q. Where are you going and why?
A. To SC to visit my bf.
Q. How long will you be gone?
A. 4 days.
Q. Have you ever been to SC before?
A. Yes. ( I listed my most recent trips)
Q. Do you intend to live in the States?
A. Eventually yes, we have a K1 visa pending, and I am waiting on an interview date.
Q. Well are you going to visit your boyfriend or your fiance?
A. My boyfriend, we have talked about getting married but he hasn't bought me a ring yet.
Q. You don't need an engagement ring!
A. I do too!!!
Q. Do you have any paperwork with you pertaining to your pending K1 case?
A. Yes here it is.
looked over my p3 for 20 mins and explain that I cannot enter the US to live without the visa.
Q. Are you bringing in any food, smokes or alcohol?
A. No
Q. Enjoy your visit and bring your paperwork with you everytime you enter the US.

And I came back with the ring biggrin.gif

No, I dont think so, my first response was to be optimistic for his kids, sure they will have to live without their dad, but 2/3 of them do have a mother who has made efforts to have some custody of them. Their life with Michael was prolly very far from normal - they are wearing stupid mardi gras masks as well as very strange clothing in a lot of the photos ... Maybe now they can have some hope for a normal life which is likely impossible in their previous circumstances. The new stuff about his pain killer addictions makes me sad for his children because no child should have to feel the pain of growing up with an addicted parent.

Really!? You'd think the amount of time to train a BG would take the whole summer. I can't believe that!

I actually applied for a position like this when I was an undergrad. I declined because I did not want the commute. Blaming the crappiness on the border guard on being a student really isn't fair, its kinda derrogatory to students. A lot of people who get in a position of power become total jerks - I had one at the Embassy.

CanadaWhere are you moving/living in the USA?
I have had a few run ins with the exotic wildlife of SC. The first time I visited I saw these big huge flying bettle-like bugs circling around the light fixture at the bus station in Columbia. (Note to everyone stay far away from the bus station in Columbia). I have no idea what they were, they were like way bigger than a toonie. Last weekend we visited Cypress Gardens. As usual we took a row boat out in the swamp and saw egrets and baby gators. After that we walked around the park and when we were back at the entrance we noticed a newer looking path we hadnt been down before. So we walked about 1/2 km down the path and I heard a noise, looked to my left and said "Oh look at the little piggies." They weren't piggies at all. They were scary wild boars with big tusks/teeth who could run very very fast. Needless to say we booked it back to the truck. Oh and I attempted to make friends with a very large crab at the beach, but he was just too crabby for me rofl.gif

I worked at Tim Hortons a long time ago when I was in highschool , back when the minimum wage was $6.85 it was that long ago. TH makes me very bitter. I shuddered when I saw one in Ohio. Many people have a lot of favourite moments about TH, But I truly feel for anyone who has decided to take a job there at any point of their life. I have worked as a server while going to university and since I quit have never had any customers who were any where near as rude to me as the customers at Timmy's.

I had a horrible time while entering on my K1 visa at the peace bridge, and I made a comment similar to this. Surprisingly they don't care. Previously I always defended the border patrol, but after my experience realized that a lot of them are cruel and heartless just like the people that are employed at the US embassy. If anyone is thinking of complaining to someone I dont know who about how they were treated at a border crossing let me know, I will add my experience.

That's just people being overly prepared and slightly paranoid. We brought the last 3 years to be safe, but there is nowhere that specifically says you need them. We had like 4 paystubs on top of the tax into, an employer letter and a letter from the bank with account information.
