i have not seen any change in my case for about 6 months now. The lawyer take long time to file the paper work and then the bank mess up and take money out of my account by mistake and the check did not clear in the beginning of September. so i send money order and they got it but i think that now my case is sitting some where and no one is looking at it because of this mistake by the bank. is there anything that i can do about this or do i his have to wait. according to my time line i should of had the NOA2 a month ago.

timeline is just an estimate, dont count on it being approved by the date on the timeline because the timeline is only representative of fillers who have registered on VJ, not all fillers. from my experience it will come when you have lost hope.

Everyone has already prolly told you not to worry about it and it has only been 2 months.. but they are right. It is taking about 6 months now to go from NOA1 to NOA2 at VSC, and speaking from experience you will drive yourself crazy if you live by Igor's list. Think of the positive like they have issued the NOA1 which is a small step, but still something to be happy about. My original estimate for approval on VJ was before Christmas, and I wasnt approved until March. Dates will fluctuate a lot before you get the NOA2.

He will have get a police clearance from everywhere he has lived for more than 6 months from the age of 16 and up, so yes he would need a clearance from Saudi as well.
I would take a look at the average processing times for cases to go from date of filling to the interview, November is about 8 months away, and if you are sure that he will be back in the Phillipines after November I would just put the Phillipines consulate on the initial application because it is looking like the K1's are taking about 6 months to get approved now on average. Or maybe wait a couple of months so that you are confident that he will be in the Phillipines when you are expecting an interview because I think moving the files to another consulate may be a big headache.

Honestly a lot of people have been going about 6 months until approval and 6 months is their average according to the govt sites. Telling someone they are long overdue when they are around the average only makes them worry. Try not to worry about it too much, I know it can be hard when you see a lot of people get approved faster than you, cause it happened to me at almost all stages of the process but hang in there. I don't think living in a number of states really would affect the amount of time it takes to get adjudicated, just try and make sure they have the correct address on file. My NOA2 came way after my estimated date even counting a 30 day delay for the RFE so don't count on the VJ estimates to be right on.

Well my interview was July 8th. Not impressed at all with the "customer service" I recieved at all at the embassy, the interviewer was cool, but the person I had to hand my forms into and get fingerprinted with was well, I dont have anything nice to say about her that doesnt involve any foul language. I did recieve my visa tho biggrin.gif Tickets are booked and I'm moving in 3.5 weeks, and we are planning an October wedding.

Wait until you get the visa because even if you dont have the visa in your hand you still kind of have one, it is in the process of being issued. I'd say wait just to be sure that the same thing that happened to Kat&Allie doesnt happen to you. Are you planning to go for a visit or to activate the visa, because if it is just for a visit I'd say maybe can you try and go the weekend before or something? Woo hoo though for having a date I bet you are soo excited! wow that isn't a lot of notice they are giving you, I hope you dont have to travel far for the interview.
And no I havent heard anything yet. I am SOOO MAD that someone who got the NOA2 after I sent in my p3 has an interview date. I am trying not to let it get to me but its very aggrivating, im at about 250 days since NOA1 and still nothing. Which makes it hard to plan a 900 mile move. Hopefully I will hear something soon. the whole system really does suck. after reading some of the timelines/posts by the people who are doing the K3 visa route i feel kinda better, but i still really miss my boyfriend. I just came home from visiting him on Monday and here i am sitting here, having to leave for work in an hour and im bawling my eyes out. i hate this soo much. its been only 42 days since our NOA (thank god we had a touch last week, it kinda brightens my day) i try and rationalize and try and guess how much time has still to pass but its awful. in my head im like well 42 days have passed and the average for the past year has been x days so im z% done waiting.... im bobarded with the what ifs and the uncertainty is driving my insane. the first week back is always the worst, i remember the second time i came back to canada back in the summer i couldnt eat or sleep for 4 days. i was a zombie. today i looked at booking my flight for my xmas visit and it made me feel a bit better but i almost dont want to go because then i have to face this horrible feeling that i feel now all over again. :'(

from my understanding your case is likely on its way to the NVC it will probably be a while yet before your fiance hears something from the american embassy in their country. look at the graphs here below the NOA2 ones and see if that helps

Kinda makes me wonder about who we are letting into our own country. Afterall she didnt even ask me what my name was, just where I live and how i knew my friend that picked me up in buffalo...

YESSS!!!! Get your full G License!!!!!!!!!!! Spend the $75 or $94... whatever it is to get the full G. If you do't you run the risk of NOT getting a full license down here. States are moving towards the graduated license. Plus, if it is a "Full G" you won't have to take any test or anything. It will be just like moving from one state to another. When we inquired abput Duncan's license, the nice lady behind the counter wanted to make sure it was a FULL G, not the G1 or G2.

Just my 2 cents... I know I'm not in Colorado, but I do know that the more "complete" your documents are, the easier the transition will be.

Definitely get the G license here, because in most states the G is the only ontarian license that carries over, ive been lazy and still have my G1 and no way can i get a G by the time I make the move and am going to have to start again from the beginning, but it isnt nearly as long as a process in the US from what I have seen.

Sean and I both play a nerdy MMORPG called EverQuest 2 (EQ2). I joined the guild that he was in sometime in January 2007 (after taking a two year break from the game). We would listen to music, I would sing (he loves my singing lol) and share about our lives. Out of all of my in-game friends, he was the most constant, the most sincere, the one I enjoyed spending time with the most. He and I would email back and forth at work to plan our nights of game-playing, and somewhere along the line we discovered that we had "real" feelings for eachother. He said he fell in love with me before he met me (awwww!). I knew I loved him and cared for him deeply, but I was skeptical that if we met we might find that our feelings weren't real afterall.

Fast-forward to April of 2008. Sean bought a plane ticket to come down to Florida to meet me (gulp) over our summer break (I am a school counselor and have the summers off)! He was so certain that we'd hit it off (at least as friends) that his return flight was 17 days later! Well on July 11th, 2008 a very nervous Floridian drove to the Orlando airport to meet an equally nervous Canadian. It was love at first sight!! We both instantly knew that we would love each other in person as well as through our emails, phone calls, letters, gifts, and in-game interactions. Since our first meeting in July, I have seen Sean every month except for August. We are able to maintain our long distance relationship quite well, even though we miss each other terribly.

In November I bought a plane ticket to visit Sean in Canada for Valentine's Day weekend (he told me that he never had a Valentine before). We had a fantastic weekend and he surprised me with a gorgeous engagement ring! It was a princess-cut center diamond (he calls me his princess) with a blue topaz heart on either side (his birthstone).

So we are still raiding 4 nights a week and we also read books together over the computer, email tons during the day, visit as often as possible, and enjoy all of the time we spend together. We are so happy to be getting married in the next year!!!

I also agree with domegirl and treble... schooling is schooling. I do things differently than other 4th grade teachers at my school! LOL Just depends on who you get for what subject/grade which year!

In addition, some employers are only familar with their local education systems and are too dang lazy to find out on their own what else is out there.


Excellent post! Never forget, school in America is very dependent on the state and district. My cousins went to school in Kansas and they weren't taught about evolution while I went to school in Georgia. The teacher, by law, has to read a statement saying evolution is a theory and only a theory before we could learn about it. My friends that went to public school in New York were taught evolution without the theory statement.
