Canada	IR1 / CR1 - Montreal Timeline to Interview	Ya know guys, the more I think about it I think the reason we might of gotten our original interview cancelled is because my husband and I are together, so maybe they wanted to get some of you guys that are separated done so you could be together. If that was the case then I am glad they cancelled us because I couldn't imagined having to go through that. When we got married I came to Canada and did all the paperwork from here so it wasn't bad then either. Canada	IR1 / CR1 - Montreal Timeline to Interview	Hi Americana quick question about Dr Seidens office...I still haven't got an interview date, packet 3 was received by the consulate Aug 29 and I called the DOS this morning and they said the usual that I'm eligible but there still clearing up the backlog. Shoudl I wait to get the interview date, which I hope is in Feb, before booking an appointment..Is there anyway their office is too busy that they wouldn't fit me in prior to the interview if I'm scheduled say three weeks prior to the interview. I live in Toronto so getting the docs office is no prob. Thanks for your help. I don't think its fair if I tell you too or not too because I'm not sure if we were suppose to get it then. We just thought we would go ahead and try because we thought the backlog was only 3 months and look how long it took us to get our appt. Canada	IR1 / CR1 - Montreal Timeline to Interview	When I get home tonight I will check for email. If they mailed the letter I should get it within the next couple of days. I'm in Ontario so recieving a letter from Montreal should only be two or three days. With one of our payments we paid by U.S. money order and the bank forgot to date it so they sent it back to us via regular mail and I believe it only took a couple of days so I figure we should get it today or tomarrow, Wed at the latest.	americana2009	Female	Canada	2010-01-11 12:51:00
Canada	IR1 / CR1 - Montreal Timeline to Interview	Ok guys I called DOS again this morning and spoke to another lady. She also stated we have our interview Feb 1 and that the letter was indeed mailed January 7th so I am guessing this one is accurate. I will still wait until I have something in hand to actually get real excited ( mind you that is a little hard to do). I did'nt get an email on Friday though, maybe tonight we will see. I don't know why they let us have our medical before appointment. When we got the letter from the packet with the checklist I called Dr. Seidens office in Toronto asked the person who answered about the medical exam, and she stated as long as we had the letter with the hand written case number on it we were fine. I went ahead and scheduled the medical and she gave us an appointed for 3 weeks later. I am really glad that we had the medical done though because it would be a little tight to get that before the interview. I'll keep ya posted.	americana2009	Female	Canada	2010-01-11 10:04:00

But we have already done my husbands medical, back in August the reason being is at the time we thought it only took 3 months to get appointment so we figured get it done....maybe if someone from Montreal actually reads these posts then they know that already so they know we don't need all that much time. I am a little worried about not getting an email regarding his appointmet. I emailed them last monday and havent had a reply in regards to that either. So who knows the method behing the madness. I gave up trying to figure it out. Now Im just going with the flow. Its actually to our benefit that the medical is done because we don't have to worry about driving to Toronto in winter but... I called this morning like I do everymorning and the lady whom I spoke with said WE HAVE AN INTERVIEW!!! YeeHawwww!!!! She even said the letter was mailed out yesturday. Our Interview is February 1, 2010. Now in Oct we got scheduled and then our date was removed and this morning the (lady who was very very nice.) explained to me that Montreal did that to a few people because they were so backlogged and this one should not change seeing as they have mailed out the letter. Canada	IR1 / CR1 - Montreal Timeline to Interview	Ok, I have been calling almost every single day for the last 4 weeks...nothing yet. I emailed on Monday...nothing yet. I wish they would start with the interviews. If they dont I may have to haul my butt to montreal and just sit on the step and wait for my interview there. Hey maybe I can offer some assistance seeing as I'm there anyway...lol Im pretty sure all my backup supply of Patience in depleted... This is crazy and there is nothing that can be done. I know they are backlogged and can't help the delay but it doesnt make it easier on this end. I guess that you are in that window, right? It can't hurt to send them an email again, especially if you nicely say that you started this process nearly a year ago... Good luck! Canada	IR1 / CR1 - Montreal Timeline to Interview	Hi I have a favor to ask: Can everyone here on VJ PLEASE! Cross their fingers for us to get my husbands interview date soon? We've been waiting since July and it just seems like it is forever and ever! I am hoping with some prayer and luck we will be scheduled in February ( or January). I am trying to be patient but I'm not very good at it. I know Montreal is backlogged and short staffed but doesnt it have to be "our turn" eventually? (sorry just venting a little). My boss has been great and very supportive but even he calls me everyday to ask if we've got it yet. He has to replace me and I have to train the person replacing me. My family from SC is calling everyday asking if we have it yet and I'm getting frustrated I now answer the phone "Hello, not yet" lol. I figure if I have optimism and everybody crosses their fingers for us then surely the power of positive will get us our interview. I thought I would call them just to find out about how long it takes to recieve the letter or email and the lady asked me for our case # and the name and came back and said there is no interview date but we are in line to get it. The lady was really nice and said she couldnt understand it either. She said it was odd that I had an interview and now I don't. They record all incoming calls so they could go back and listen to the original phone message. I HAD AN INTERVIEW... I just don't understand. I called them this morning because I haven't recieved an email or anything in the mail in regards to our interview. The lady I talked to this morning said we indeed are not scheduled yet. yeah....I am a little upset...ALOT UPSET. I thought something was a little off when I emailed montreal a couple of times since that phone call and they haven't respond. We have the time booked off work and everything to go. I am definitely praying DOS made an error this morning and we in fact do have an interview. hmmmm. I could cry right now but I'm at work so I can't do that. Talk about pulling at your heart strings.
