I commend you for putting your children first! Some ppl dont. I have watched my sibling put men and relationships before her children, just to further her own happiness and not taking into account her children. it has really taken a toll on my niece and it makes me mad! Children need their parents, if only one parent, they need their mom...especially at age 14! they need your undivided love. seeing what my niece and nephew have gone through, its great to see a parent who loves their children more then themselves!

You can save your chat history, just go to edit on your chat and configure it to save all chats. (I only use yahoo n myspace chat) but u can set it up n save your history. then it will be saved in your archives. wen you go look for them, same thing...save to a Word doc. then print.

you should be getting ur noa2 any day now. I see you sent it in December and i think they got behind with all the holidays. Give it some more time. If nothing happens, you can call at the end of the month if theres still no word at the 6 month mark (1/31/09). Best wishes!

You arent alone. I got my noa1 on july 23 n havent heard a thing either. I dont think USCIS are going to help you til 6 months has passed, so try calling again on january 25, if u still havent heard anything.
Unfortunately there is no logic to this process, no rhyme or reason to why some ppl get approved in 3 months and others wait a lot longer. We just have to wait. I'm not surprised they are telling u different things....but i dont understand why. I just know there is no guarantee to when we'll get our noa2.

Honestly I have. I dont think they were rational thoughts that I was actually preparing to act on, more like a desperate attempt to end the pain i was in, the pain of a long distance relationship. I never thought I'd just find another man, cause I know he's it for me and no guy can compare. but more like, 'i cant handle this...forget it, i'll just live with my cats and be the crazy cat lady'. Or actually, we didn't even get it, but today I received an envelope from the American Consulate that they received our file and can begin process our case!!! I am so excited, isn't that the best way to start the weekend!!!
In the mean time on the website of USCIS it still says that our case is pending, no email notification, nothing.
I did receive an email today from our lawyer, she said that our case was approaved on Nov. 26
I don't know what took her so long, but nothing can spoil the good news.

You should be able to call the office, USCIS 1-800-375–5283 n request a change of address. they have that as an option on the menu. i would think they need a mailing address, but if you call uscis they can help u with that i'm sure. it'd be like she moved.

I think its a big deal cause I dont have one and have been waiting over 6 months. I'm in limbo n cannot do anything without it. I want to move forward, send away packet 3, set the medical..see progress. i want to be active and get things done. Noa1 to Noa2 is the long haul for many of us. its not the end but its a light at the end of the tunnel. its a step forward. I have been standing in the same place since July, i want to take a step! So, idk, maybe you had unrealistic expectations??

Oh and the noa2 is not the k1. the k1 is what u or your SO receives at the interview. Even once my SO is here, there is still more paperwork and stuff, but that wont matter cause we'll be together finally. I dont care about the hassle as long as i can be with my love during it!

Hi, during your medical... you have to bring your annulment papers. If you petitioned for the annulment, then you don't have to go through the psychiatric evaluation. But if your ex-husband was the petitioner, you would have to go through that process.

My passport will expire in 8 months, do I need to wait for it to expire before I can get a new one ? or can I renew it a few months before it expires ? if so how long ?

I highly suggest you have it renewed there in the Philippines. Easier, affordable and faster. You don't have to wait for your passport to expire. You can get it as early as now. It's such a hassle to renew it in the States and it will take them a month or so if you have it done here.
