USCIS Service Centerswhat is up with Nebraska service center?

This is my first time posting on this forum, and I have a worry about the Nebraska service center. We sent in our petition (I130) in August 2005 and NOA1 was sent soon after, but we have been waiting for NOA2 for a while now and have recieved nothing.
I have been checking updates from thier sites, but it seems the part which says American citizens inviting sposes has been completely taken out for a while now.
Does anyone know what is happening, or is anyone in the same situaqtion?
Just a little worried
NB: I am ROFA's sister, writing on her behalf. She is in for an interview in Montreal, she asked me to do this.

Hiya........This is a normal timeline, the I-130 will of been transfered to California as Nebraska no longer process the I-130, there are a few people with the August NOA dates, its a very long wait i know, but they must be pretty close to processing all those people with August NOA's........Good Luck!!

Naturally the email comes Friday night so I have to wait until Monday morning to call the customer service to find out about the details.

Is this a good sign or a bad sign? :) or :( ?????? (L)

CSC is the processing center with case...

Personaly i would take it as a good sign, as it shows they are processing your petition

USCIS Service CentersVSC ...K3 and NAO1

Hi all,
:help: I have a few quick question this might have been asked before but I can;t seem to put my mouse on the answer at this moment.

I am finally sending the I130 on Saturday, and I remember reading on the USIC website that the receive the least amount of mailings on Tues-Thursday:

What is the best way for me to send this package so they can definateky get it for one of those days?

Should I change from sending it on Saturday?

When I send out the I130 all I need to get to send of the I129F is the NAO1, right? or do I have to wait until the I130 is approved?

JUst mail it now if its ready to go :P ......................Yes you need to send a copy of the I-130 NOA1 with your I-129F papers!

Sometimes longer, depends on their workload. Don't ignore it, but don't be too stressed if it hasn't happened within a few weeks.

Thank you very much,
Another quick question, I was reading the guides and I saw 'Mail I-129F Package to the Chicago CIS Office
Mail package with return receipt requested / delivery confirmation. Send via USPS.
Note: They will process and forward the I-129F package to the National Benefits Center (Missouri)' I was under the assumption that I send it to the P.O. Box:

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services
Chicago, IL 60680-7218
P.O. Box 7218

Is it the same? I just want to make sure!!!!!! :help:

YES you send it to the address you thought  .they will then forward it to missouri NBC for processing!!

USCIS Service CentersNational Benefit Center - how do they work?

The NBC has nothing to do with your petition, the NVC might though

NBC is Missouri service center & processes I-129F (K3)

Hello,

The NBC seems to have slowed down processing I-129F applications, but on the other hand, they have caught up a lot of time on other visa categories. Does anyone know how they work? Do they process only a few categories at the same time or all categories simultaniously?

Thank you,

Michigan 204

Yes NBC have slowed down by about a month but they are still working, last year alot of people didnt bother sending the I-129F(K3) as it was taking around 7 months to process, then i guess cos noone was sending it, they caught up, thats when i sent mine!!, i filed I-130 early April last year & didnt send the K3 until August!! because of the slow processing!!
It seems now more & more people are sending the I-129F(K3) to be processed, hench the slow down!!
I think all petitions are filed in date order not form order so i would say there is always some one processing the I-129F(K3) petitions!!

But that´s not until the interview, right?

I may be wrong but I think you need it at the time of filing. I have a different list of documents we need to obtain once the NOA2 has been received. But please keep in mind I just gave my lawyer what he requested from me and I am not sure if everything he requested was needed at the time of filing. I am sure more then a few VJrs could let you know when the Birth Certificate is needed. Sorry I couldn't be of more help

Only the USC needs to send a copy of thier BC!!

United KingdomAdding dependant child to I-130 at Packet 3 Stage

Hi, just wanted to check this out London members.........

An immigration lawyer in London told me that a dependant child under the age of 18 can be added to the
I-130 visa process when the London consulate issues packet 3, if they are listed in Q17 of the I-130 Petition. She said that she never files separate petitions for dependants under the age of 18, until they enter the US.

Has anyone actually done this?

Hm Your child needs a seperate I-130 she/he cant be added to yours, but can only come to the US through your K3 as a K2,not your I-130, you will already of added your child to your I-130 but this give the child no rights to enter the US on your approved CR1 visa!
Your lawyer said a pack 3 for I-130??, cos there is no pack 3 for the I-130 the only pack you recieve from the Embassy in London for I-130 (CR1/IR1) is interview letter / medical info( pack 4)
I hope this is helpful info
my opinion would be to either wait for K3/K2 but be aware that this time last year that was taking 7 months to approval @USCIS, and seems to be sloing down again, or you can get your husband to file a I-130 for your child and wait for approval of that!! CSC seem to of realy speeded things up!!
I Hope every thing works out for you
Good Luck
Amanda

0ops i meant to say K4 visa not K2 sorry
To qualify for the K-3 or K-4 visa, the applicant must be a beneficiary of an immigrant visa petition, Form I-130. While there is no requirement that a separate I-130 be filed on behalf of the child, such action would be prudent and beneficial to the child as the U.S. citizen will be required to file an I-130 at a later date in order for the child to adjust status to that of Lawful Permanent Resident.

In order to active the processing of the K-3 or K-4 visa, the U.S. citizen must file a petition, Form I-129F petition with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). There is no requirement that an I-129F be filed on behalf of the child as he or she will automatically derive status from the petition.

Hi everyone,
Would anyone know if it is compulsory to stay in the US for the two year period (to achieve permanent residence) after completing the adjustment of status? My fiancee Shilpa and I (the beneficiary) plan to return to the UK as soon as she can complete her university degree, which could be completed before then and As such, we may not need to stay in the US for the whole two years. United KingdomRegarding Time Lines and Interviews and other topics... :)

My Interview date is exactly 12 weeks after I submitted my packet 3. K1 visa is valid for 6 months but you must marry within 90 days from date of entry into the US. If you are worried about the timing of the wedding then wait till you have the interview date to arrange the wedding or do what a lot of us do. Get married in court first to comply with k1 regulations then have the big ceremony later at your convenience..

Good Luck

Adele

Thanks for your reply...
we aren't so much worried about the wedding...That is the least of my worries! 6 months~90 days all that jazz has been engrained in my head! *giggle* :)

We are trying to plan resigning from work. I know it is little use trying to plan anything. But as we are guessing we assume that we will have an interview in Dec...that gives 7-8 months more or less of course. We are hoping for an interview around Feb of next year...We realize that we could postpone sending out paperwork, but I was just curious about someone mentioning they held off their interview for a spring wedding...and I wanted to see how and if this was even possible.

In my post I mentioned being interested in how you set up your interview? Do they just give you a date and you have to come on that day? Or do they tell you the week they want to do it and you say yes? This is what I am curious about....

Thanks for any further information! :)

You didnt file papers yet?.............Once you get the visa you have got 6 months to use it!! so you wouldnt have a rush !!

I generally agree. Rooney is talented, but to suggest he would make the difference between success and failure is, I think, a little insulting to the many other talented English players.
