IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	K3 & returned for CR1 interview	I did post briefly in the London Embassy forum after my interview, but we arrived home last night after our trip to England so am posting here now!! The CR1 interview was easy pretty much the same as my K3 interview, my interview was on a friday, and i got my passport back on the saturday morning, which was pretty fast!! I entered Chicago POE yesterday it took them about 5 minutes to process me with no problems & now i'm done with immigration for 2 years -90days YAY! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	I-130 Approved, I-129F far off	Hi Mark After your I-130 is approved at the service center, it will be sent to NVC for future processing, you should research this, a few forms will need to be filled out & returned to NVC!!, then after all this is done & NVC have reviewed the documents, they will give you case complete, & depending on country depends on wether or not NVC then send the petition to the Consulate/Embassy for them to schedule an interview, if its a country where the Consulate/Embassy does not schedule interview, then NVC will do this!! you have a lot to read, Good Luck! We do not need to fill out anything as he did this already before we got here. just wondering how long this will take to get his card. K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	So mad!	I'm sorry if I have upset anyone here.I was having a pretty bad day today and lot has been going on. I'm also sorry for lowering the tone and not giving a good vibe. As i said i dont normally go off on one!! I was just having a particularly bad day today.. I love my husband with all my heart.. and I have told him excatly how I feel about all this too its not like i just slag him off behind his back. But sometimes you get frustrated with your partner and angry and its hard to understand why or what to do about it!! I just needed to vent other wise I was going to shout at someone on the phone at work and lose my job over it too.. I personally struggle with controlling my stress levels and do freak out easliy.. its something I am trying to rectify.. But I always know when I have been OTT and apologise to Jeff! We have already dont the whole visa thing for Jeff to come to the UK ( but decided we liked USA better ) and in that case again I did most of the research and things.. I was just looking for him to take more of an interest and help me also.. is that so much to ask for??? Dear all, I spent more than 6 months in the US (foreign assignment) and I ordered a police certificate from the state I resided. Now I read somewhere that I should not send the US police certificate to the embassy. Does anyone know if I should or should not send it to the embassy? Thank you, Michigan I dont think a police certificate from the US will be required, i could be wrong though, BUT just take it to your interview with you, if its needed they will ask you for it!! K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	K3 visa for perm legal resident ?	Hi I am about to start the K3 application for my new wife [UK citz] . I am green card holder since 1997 and do not wish to become a US citizen. All the research I have done refers to USC - is there a different application or process when the sponsor is a LPR.? Are the processing times similar or will I be a ;second class; applicant? one other question is - I was absent from the us for the last tax year due to family berevement and thus have no US based income from that year - I know that I must prove income support for the K3 and need advice how to best present my situation to CIS - I have substancial cash assets and pensions that will be transfered to US eventually - can this be taken into account inlieu of proven income history Thanks As a LPR you can file the I-130 BUT it takes a much longer time to be processed, you might want to look at the timelines for the service centers that process the I-130, you would send your I-130 to 1 of the 4 service centers, I.E Cal;ifornia,Vermont,Texas & Nebraska, Texas & Nebraska would forward your I-130 to California as only they & Vermont now process the I-130, but you must still send it to YOUR correct center!!! as for a LPR being eligible to file K3, i could'nt say, i think NOT!! but have been wrong before!! https://egov.immigra...nter=California for a LPR to file through California....the dates they are currently processing are I-130's with a receipt date of, January 1st 2005, for USC to file a I-130 the processing now dates, February 02 2006 Good Luck with whatever you decide to do	Euro	Female	0	2006-08-08 15:47:00

We would like like to say thankyou to VisaJourney community for guides,forum responses and general support. We all need each on here,never forget that. K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Approved!	At this point, this is essentialy a CR1 now, right? So James's shortcuts should be applicable? Deffinetly some new studying to do, this was an unexpected (but pleasant) turn. Yes CR1 & James short cuts!! CR1 is the best visa of the 2(K3)...........it can take 3 months to get through NVC, or as little as 60days, then after case complete you have to wait for a interview to be scheduled .......................so dont give up on the K3 you could still get that first, &maybe if that happens return to Canada for CR1 interview??....................you have options now, but i will say agin the CR1 is the better Visa!! good luck on which ever route you choose	Euro	Female	0	2006-10-25 09:17:00

Chicago is the only one handle K-3 neither Vermont nor California. Please post your views. K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	guys, everybody i need help on this... thanks.	im filing my petition I-130 for my wife in the phlippines on oct 31. after ill get the receipt from I-130 ill be doing I-129f right away. my question is.... how long does it take (months) for the visa council or embassy to let me present my affidavit of support for my wife after all those applications were approved.?????? the reason why im asking this is because i am going to quit my job as a registered nurse and spend my time with my wife in the phlippines until i need to present my affidavit of support. by the time that i need to present my affidavit of support, that will be the time ill come back to the states and look for a job right away since i understand that in order to present affidavit of support, i need to have a job. though i have enough savings on my bank right now. help me guys, i just miss my wife so so much. i cant stand being away from her. thanks guys. i love you all. It will be months before you have to submit your affidavit of support!!.how many months is like asking how long is a piece of string!!..............but it will be a few months at least!! K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Question on k-3 petition	yes i understand both go through security screening, my question is since the i-130 got approved without any further administrative reviews, can't the k-3 go through likewise. I'm trying to figure out why the K-3 is taking so long to get approved than the I-130. As these are totaly different petitions processed at different places, your I-130 was approved without an hitch, that dosent mean that your K3 couldnt be slowed down for administrative reviews!!!.............or it just could be that the I-129f for K3 is much slower these days!!! K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Nebraska Service Center NOA1 for I-130	I would expect to see your NOA1 in a few days, from the California Service Center. If you want to verify this now and have online access to see the back of your check, the case number beginning with WAC indicates yours was transferred to California. Yes, you send your I-129F for K3 to Chicago PO Box. Thanks for you help, i can now see the back of my check and it has a "WAC" number and actually says California Service Center on it, now that i have this WAC number what does it mean, Can i get some sort of login account with it to see my file status ? Can i use it when i call USCIS to get status on where my NOA1 for the I-130 is at the present moment ? Please let me know, Thanks. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Very bad news for us	I emailed the London Embassy (LondonConsular@state.gov) regarding a general timeframe to when I should get my interview date. We were both praying it was before June 1st, or at least July 29th, which is when our actual wedding is. We got a very disheartening response. Here's what it said: We have no record of having received the forms to which you refer. However there is a delay of 6 - 8 weeks between the date the forms are received by the Embassy and the date in which they are processed and entered on to our system. As soon as the Immigrant Visa Unit has received the forms and completed any additional processing on your application you can anticipate receiving an appointment date for an interview within 8 weeks. We sent all the forms off on the 15th of March. I've read other people's experiences and it seems as though it took them about 2 and a half months to complete the whole process from sending off the 3rd packet and the interview date, which gave me hope -- but this news has devastated us. Please someone tell me, surely it's not that long a wait. Please. Our wedding is already arranged. His family has bought plane tickets to be there. Is there anything we can do? The courier guy also gave him a big brown packet that says DO NOT OPEN on it - so what's inside? Makes it a bit hard to truthfully tell security at the airport that you know everything you have with you when you have a mystery package with God knows what inside! ;-) Curious minds want to know! US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	London Embassy	I see in several timelines the actual date an applicants file is sent to Embassy. How do you find out when your file is sent/received? What is next? The info on the NVC automated line is that our file closed this week. Do I need to wait on hearing from the Consulate regarding an interview date or does the NVC automated line get updated to let me know the file has left NVC? Ive gotten used to keeping track of the journey via the excellent helpline and suddenly feel whaaaaaaaaaaaaare are we at now? Then to find anything out you can email London, but give em a week or so after they get the petition to actualy open it as until they open it they will tell you they didnt get it yet!!
