We are still waiting for police clearance forms so it must be 5 weeks. It just seems the fabric of time is being folded like on of Oprah's towels (into 3rds instead of half to allow for less space in the closet). It propably also feels slower since I just came back from seeing May. I keep telling myself, patience but the Veruca Salt inside of keeps yelling, "But I want it now!" I have a few to send her but we are 98% ready. The only bad part of my visit with May was that it ended The blessing this time is no 6 month wait to see her again. Her interview is in 6 weeks. Then she will be here 6 weeks after she passes! Let's see that is (counting on fingers...oops, off comes one shoe.... ) about 12 weeks! Is that a light I see in this tunnel? Who's kidding who. She brought it with her today. Can you imagine any scenerio in which the Dr. would need to be involved in that? I can't. I know the Philippines does not have divorce but COME ON! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	February 2010 Filers - California Service Center	We completed application for the police clearance from the Japanese Embassy (which included obtaining letter US Embassy, getting form from the Japanese Embassy, fingerprinting done police station on the other side of town then back to the Japanese Embassy to turn everything in). All-in-all 5 hours to complete. Tomorrow May goes for her medical at St Lukes (1PM). I will be calling the US Embassy tomorrow to get a 6/18 interview date. Step-by-step closer! The first prompt is for Haiti related or not. Then I choose option 2 (which includes K1). I ended up calling the NVC for both events(received by them and sent to embassy) 2 times each. For them receiving my packet, the first person I spoke with would only tell me that they had it but not when it arrived but he did give the case number. When I called back the next day the second person told me what day it had arrived and to call back in 7 days. A week later, the first person I spoke with stated that the package had left for the embassy "this week" but when asked for a specific date he simply repeated "this week". When I called back that evening I was told it left on 3/29. The DHL package arrived in Manila on 4/2 so I suspect it will be delivered to the USE Manila on Monday. I plan on calling Wednesday night (their Thursday morning) to try scheduling May's interview for June 18th. She has to obtain a Japanese police clearance which can take 4-6 weeks. We are hoping an October wedding so the earliest she can arrive is the end of July. I have just started packing for my 3 weeks in the Philippines with May. Then in July she should be here!! Our touch & notification occurred on 3/23 but it was for actions taken on 3/18 (the date on our NOA2). I am all for them working on processing the packets and being a little slow on the touch updates (unless less an RFE is involved, then get those notices out as quickly as possible!). On another note, called the NVC and got our Manila case number. May will be going to the USEM on Tuesday to get her letter to obtain her Japanese Security clearence (which takes about 30-45 days). It seems as if we have gotten through most of the "that was amazingly fast" approvals and the rest of us have settled in for the average. At least that is how I feel as an early Feb filer. The late-middle and late Feb filers still have a chance at the "that was amazingly fast" approval. Of course, that doesn't mean I don't check this and USCIS websites daily.
