I have 4 tattoos and the medical is the same for everybody. Having a different blood work just because you have a tattoo is insane.
If your SO doesn't have a problem with it, I don't see why it would be none of anybody's business to say a word about your tattoos.

PS: If you don't have money to laser remove them, you can always tattoo something to cover it wink.gif

US Citizenship General DiscussionMy citizenship interview
So I had my interview yesterday. I'd like to share my experience.
There was a woman observing the guy who was interviewing me, it looked like he was in training.
He started with the civics test. The questions were:
- Name one war in the 1900s
- What month do we vote for president
- What's the name of the Chief Justice of the USA
- Who was the first President
- How many members are there in the House of Representatives
- How many years are in a representatives term?
I got them all right so he stopped. Otherwise he'd continue, I guess he had 10 questions and I needed 6 correct answers.
Then I had to read "George Washington was the first president" and also spell that.
Then he went through my entire paperwork, asking me all the questions asked on N-400.
The only thing we did wrong in the application was add Charles' daughter when asked information about children, it should've been just my biological child.
I said yes on the question "Have you ever been arrested, cited or detained by any law enforcement officer for any reason" because I've had 2 traffic tickets since I've been to the States, that were paid, a failure to do a complete stop at a stop sign ticket and a speeding ticket. I brought evidence those tickets were paid, as requested by them in letter prior to the interview.
In the end he said "I cannot make a decision at this moment, we'll review your file, make sure everything is correct and we'll get in contact".

I'm wondering if he said that because he's in training and is not allowed to make a decision or because I said yes on that question and they need to investigate something.

Anyway, it was real easy, we were in and out in 20 minutes.

Lord, you sound like Derek! Last night I cleaned all my good jewelry - wedding ring, engagement ring, great-mothers ring, etc. Anyway, normally I would let them all dry on the counter, but I knew that Calvin would start messing with them if I left them out so I put them on a paper towel and put it up on the highest shelf in the kitchen. Fast forward to this morning as I am running out the door to work and am looking for my rings. I run into the kitchen, reach up to the shelf and no paper towel! helpsmilie.gif At this point I know 2 things, Derek is a neat freak and he also cleaned the cat litter out before he left for work. So I am freaking out thinking the towel and the litter have been thrown down the garbage chute and I am going to have to go through 100 apartments worth of trash to find my jewelry. Long story short, he fortunately threw the towel out in the kitchen trash and had not taken that to the trash room with the litter, phew! But I still ended up dumping out all the trash on the kitchen floor and pawing through it at 7:45am. And of course this is all his fault. laughing.gif

What???

Your husband actually cleans?

My then fiance and I didn't have an engagement party. The consular officer at USE Manila did not ask for proof of engagement party. I was not denied at the interview for not having an engagement party.

The OP is talking about an interview at the USEM in India. The CO's in India are aware that engagement ceremonies are very common in India, they are part of the normal culture, so that is why they may be asked about an engagement party or why they did not have one.
There is someone on this forum that has been temporarily "put on hold" as far as approval for K-1 because they did not have an engagement party (they also interviewed at the USEM in India). I am sorry I cannot find the link for that topic, but if you do a search and ask around I am sure someone can direct you kaushalia.

I found a link for a topic where someone was asked for evidence concerning a future-planned wedding ceremony and interviewed in India: http://www.visajourn...howtopic=166591

They do not mention evidence for engagement ceremony but they were asked to present evidence for a planned wedding ceremony. I suggest you contact the member by PM for more info.
Hope this helps!
Keep us posted!

Thank you very much, I read this post previously, also. I thought it was crazier than the request they gave me, lol. They tell you not to plan anything just in case you don't get the visa, then they asked his fiance, "Why didn't you plan anything?" One flew over the cuckoo's nest.

There is not much age difference in us, either, he is 10 months older than me. Neither of us have been married before, and no children. I have read where one person was denied with the 221g and he was successful the second time by starting from scratch and going there for the next interview. If all else fails, that is what we will have to do also. But I don't want to make any plans for that if this actually, by the grace of God, gets approved.

Still keeping my fingers, and toes crossed.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionNo engagement ceremony
Hello, I posted a similar topic on the regional forum, however to widen the base, I am "casting the net" out there. While my fiance and I are in the wonderful world of the waiting game, I am taking this time to drive myself nuts with questions wacko.gif

Has there been anyone who was temporarily denied the visa with a 221g asking for engagement ceremony proof including pictures, reception hall bills, catering bills, and guest lists, but DID NOT have a ceremony? What did you do to correct the situation? Did your visa get issued?

We submitted a letter explaining how we met, fell in love, decided to get married, etc. A notarized affidavit stating we were unaware of the necessity of a ceremony, phone records, emails, letters, cards, attorney receipts, photos, etc.

I don't enjoy being put in suspense, unless it is a happy ending, lol innocent.gif .
