My husband is planning on being here sometime in February. Should I enroll him now and just pay for January although he will not be living here? I can't do a change in status because we will have been married for almost a year. As it stands my HR department told me we could buy an individual policy for a month then drop it, and I can enroll him that way. We will check into seeing if he can work for the same company I do now (that is how we met, so he has experience already). But as you know, in life, there are no guarantees. What are your thoughts? IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Inmigrant getting married with American citizen	by entering without papers, you have created yourself a mountain to climb. if i remember correctly, your i-129f petition never made it to the embassy, and was denied by USCIS in the beginning. so you will have a lot of explaining to do if you do plan on "adjusting status". you might want to invest in a well-qualified immigration attorney. buenos suerte! you are going to need it.
