Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	Help Please!!!	Hi, as I mentioned before i'm afraid the company might see this as an issue and not give him the job because of it. I hope there's a way of the company knowing of the extention just with his green card number. I'm not sure how it works as far as a company being able to access USCIS info with someone's A#, but I would rather be safe and just have him bring the NOA with him to his second interview so they can make a copy of it for his file if they need to. My husband is currently employed and according to his GC, it expires May 11. We are just keeping his NOA extension letter handy in case it becomes a problem so he can give them a copy if they need it. Your hubby will just have to explain to them that he has filed the paperwork necessary to get the 10 year green card, show the extension letter showing the current one expires next year, and say he will provide a copy of the 10 year GC upon receiving it. Edited to add - if this company really wants to hire him (and it seems they do since he got a 2nd interview), they will make sure to get from him the info they need so they can hire him. Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	weird annoyances... seek advice	For #3, you don't HAVE to send your stuff the first day of the 90 day window. When I've ordered transcripts from the IRS, they usually take about 7-10days, so if you want to include them, I'd wait till they get there. Yes, it looks good to me I second what mari&Ryan said though about If you have Insurance for health, car or home with both of you names on them, include these as well. To address your specific questions though... 1. Shouldn't be a problem, but like simel1110 said, sending things that show you both get bills at the same address might help. 2. We did not send marriage cert. or any passport copies as they aren't required. 3. But just to let you know, you normally get a response for your application, like 30 days after your biometrics appoint. At least that was my case. So if my calculations are right you should get your response by May 08, or very close to that date. Please let me know how it went with you application, this especially after you sent the affidavit from your husband mom. We got the NOA1 and the the biometrics, which my husband did on April 8th. VSC is way far behind CSC right now in processing. We filed quite close to the end of February and there are already some CSC filers who have been approved who sent their stuff same time as we did...there are ZERO VSC approvals for February so far. My husband and I live with my mom in her house - we have no utility bills or any lease or rental agreement. We had my mom write/sign an affidavit stating we live with her as a couple and have done so since Rob entered the country on his K-1 visa and that we pay X amount of rent to her each month. We then attached print outs from our joint checking acct online showing the deposited checks we wrote her, some signed by me, some by him to show we both used the account and were both responsible for paying rent. Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	Are affidvaits required?	I am curious as to why they are only helpful if you have weaker evidence. It is listed as one of the forms of evidence to include and IMHO, there is no harm in sending a variety of evidence, both strong and not so strong. Plenty of people send in pictures and other evidence that is not even listed and that is fine too. I just find it ironic that something listed by USCIS itself is being downplayed as useless. Well, I never said there was harm in sending them or that they were useless, just that they aren't required if you do have a lot of stronger evidence. I agree with you, it certainly doesn't hurt to send a variety of evidence. And especially since they are listed on the instructions as something to send, I'm sure affidavits do hold value no matter what other types of evidence you send in. We DID send affidavits even after people told us we didn't need them because I felt they would only add to our application. We live with my mom and don't have a lease or rent agreement or any joint utilities, so we got one from her stating we have lived with her since he moved here from the UK and we've been paying her X amount of rent a month. We don't have joint credit cards because I'm in a debt management program and cannot have credit cards. We don't have any tickets or anything from vacations together, the one vacation we did take was to TX to visit my best friend who actually introduced my husband and I...so I got one from her. And then since we got married in Vegas, only my two brothers and my brother's fiancee were with us...so I got one from my brother and his (now) wife. Since this is the Removal of Conditions of 2yr conditional green cards forum and not for a visa, perhaps the value of the affidavits differ. In the I-751 Petition to Remove the Conditions of Residence instructions on evidence, this is what it says regarding affidavits: 5. Affidavits sworn to or affirmed by at least two people who have known both of you since your conditional residence was granted and have personal knowledge of your marriage and relationship. (Such persons may be required to testify before an immigration officer as to the information contained in the affidavit.) The original affidavit must be submitted and also contain the following information regarding the person making the affidavit: his or her full name and address; date and place of birth; relationship to you or your spouse, if any; and full information and complete details explaining how the person acquired his or her knowledge. Affidavits must be supported by other types of evidence listed above. Affidavits are helpful if you lack stronger "primary" evidence. We had to We felt we should send affidavits because we have no joint utilities and no lease or rental agreements. They are not required, but do have value if you have weaker evidence. Oh, i see a regular envelop inside it. so it meant i only send rental agreement? because it can't hold many documents inside standard envelope. I just found 8 pages of rental agreement. From what I understand (I've never gotten an RFE), and someone please correct me if I am wrong, you don't have to use the envelope they provide. You can use a larger full size envelope that will fit more evidence than a regular size one. I also agree with MarieB, they are looking for things that have both you and your spouse showing the same address - copies of both Driver License/State ID with same address, if you already sent bank statements from joint account send more, same with joint credit card statements...if you already sent some send more. Send the rental agreement. Like I posted before, get tax transcripts from the IRS (these are better proof than W2s and copies of tax return). If you have any cards or letters sent to both of you at the same address from friends/family or things like that...this is secondary evidence but might help.	sarah&rob	Female	England	2011-05-02 15:14:00

Husband went there this AM and is already home (12:30). He had a conflict on the actual scheduled date so he went early. Wonder if this speeds up the timeline. Thanks for the info!
