My honey is not Muslim but he does have some of the same requests:

He would not like for me to have male friends other than those we will know together. No going out with only a man, even if just a friend. He does not want a man to hug or kiss me except for family. I am sure if I talked to or looked at a man when we were out would bother him. When ever I tell him I am going some where he likes to know where I am going andwho I am going with.

All these things he asks of me he asks from himself as well. He tells me he does not need to look to or talk to other women because he has already found the woman he wants, ME! biggrin.gif

Middle East and North AfricaInterview to Visa Timelines
QUOTE (Nagishkaw @ Apr 1 2008, 05:21 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Of course this is MY opinion only, but I believe things are going faster because we are all praying for one another with earnest. This is also 2008 and the year of new beginnings. God reminded me He IS the Embassy. His word is sovereign and His answers are yes and Amen.
But hey, don't let your eyes roll too far back in your head just yet. Although it is true there are new changes and new faces now at the Embassy, but you may want to ask yourself who really is in charge of putting them there in the first place??

You are right Nagi, it is God who has done these wonderful things for us to make the Cairo embassy more efficient because all our prayers brought it to his attention. heart.gif

Middle East and North AfricaInterview to Visa Timelines
Like ealier post most of the recent "fast" visas were for people that had an established relationship, usually outside of the country...etc.

The others like Briget and myself our SOs had their interviews last year and we have been in AP hell for months. Maybe the new management at the Embassy is trying to clear out those that should have been cleared out from before, like me and Bridget, and now trying to handle the new cases they way we all should have been taken care of in the first place.

WOW!!!! I don't remember so many SOs coming home at the same time before. This has been an AWESOME few weeks for everyone! There is some SERIOUS mojo flowing!!!!!

So happy for those of you that have your husbands coming home. It's an awesome feeling!

Hope all the other peeps are having a great day.

Any of your maids do windows???????? Hicham and I are going to be doing some serious outside work on the house this weekend.

Hicham came to my work today for the first time since he's been back. There were a few people that knew him from before he left and I had lots to introduce him to that had never met.

We also went to pick up his big azz file from the attorney's office. Our attorney was anxious to meet him considering how long it took and all the freak'in paperwork we had to do. The spent 45 mintues just being "chatty cathy" with each other. When our attorney asked him when were we going to start on the second baby...I hit his arm and said "We gotta GO!" laughing.gif

Oh I remember how you hated the yard work last summer you must be tickled pink that he's gonna do that or at least help out now!!! lol I was thinking of going to Sears this weekend to buy a lawn mower since now I have people that do that for me but maybe I'm getting ahead of myself since what if he's allergic to grass like I am. unsure.gif

Since I totally binged last night I am not eating lunch and I'm soooooooooooooooooooo craving a steak and cheese with tomato sub and a big helping of the homemade chips they have downstairs. crying.gif crying.gif crying.gif

Okie doke, I will have all the paperwork I can have ready before he gets here.

That would be great for them to meet maybe it will help both of them?

which is exactly why he should get the work permit. i'm not sure when you planned on getting married within that 90 days (plus another 80-90 days for the EAD after you send in your AOS package) he could be waiting around quite a while. i think you said you were from my area (OC) and i would suggest he get any sort of job purely to keep him from being bored and to keep him feeling good about himself. good luck girlie! biggrin.gif

Thanks ladies we are over the moon! good.gif I am still in a little shock today ,but all I can say is keep the faith and your day will come too! MY fiancé was told 1-2 months at his interview and so I guess Cairo is trying to keep its word. I wish you all luck smile.gif I also kindly ask for prayers for my fiancé's father who is being tested for a possible cancer. So far, so good, but I know he's not out of the woods yet.

My fiance Jack had his interview in Cairo August 30th. The embassy said they would let him know with in a month if he would get the visa or not. He got a call from the embassy September 6, they want him to come back to the embassy September 11 at 9:00 a.m. and give his thumb print. Don't know if this is good or means nothing. If anyone knows, please advise.

The reality is people will tell themselves what ever they have to to make themselves feel o.k. with what they choose to do. You never know about someone else, really, until they break your trust. Just becasuse you give money or they ask does not mean anything. Either a person is honorable or they are not and you will find out in the end. Just do not be too naive.

Just letting you know what my fiance is like with me. He NEVER let's me send him money. Even when I go to visit, he does not let me pay for anything but the gifts I bring home to my family and friends. He pays for eveything else we do, traveling, tourism and food. He always make sure I have bottled water and diet pepsi. lol

It is strange because you do not want to be taken advantage of but at the same time you want to help the one you love.

Just out of curiosity does your fiance live at home or does he have his own place?

He lives with his parents but does contibute to the household and pays for his own bills, ex: cell phone.

I was not trying to pee any more than the next woman only give he MY experiance with MY fiance. Seems as though we have hit button with some.
