I know usually people don't do that but we have some family matters that may arise that may make us unavailable in August. Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	July 2009 I-751 files	Hello! Ok so I was SUPPOSED to send out the packet in May but it's been chaos (lots of stupid things) and only now just getting ready to send off the packet this month. I finally have everything together & just need hubby's signature and a few more pics! I can't believe I haven't taken very many photos!! Plus our comps have died several times so I have yet to dig through my backup for my missing photos (including my disneyland photos!!)Is there going to be any issues as I only have a few. My hubby is NOT a photo person. He hates having his pic taken but I am going to get us to take a quick family pic tonight to send. Ok hopefully this is enough as we don't have much (as parents own my house): 1. Geico insurance with both our names 2. Disney travel itinerary from last year with both our names 3. insurance card with both our names 4. copy of May Bank statement with both our names 5. IRS Tax Return statement (ordered after filing) stating we filed together (married filing jointly). 6. Print out from AKC website (can't find original and don't have time to order replacement) showing we are both owners of a registered Labrador Retriever that we purchased together in December 08. 7. 2 pics of us together when his mom visited in Aug 07, pic of us in may 08 at brothers family groom dinner, pic of us and my daughter acting silly on the couch (daughter looks slightly mad. thought it would make them laugh). Also going to take photo of us today and trying to find a pic from Disneyland with the 3 of us. Ok slightly stressed but not as much as before since this packet is significantly lighter. That and we have no eversion (sp?) to having to do an interview if needed. There is a Bio appt again right? BTW for the list we are Susan & Peter (UK) I will let you know when I mail the packet. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	K-1 Basics	I guess I am not understanding this whole K-1 visa thing. lol I understand it is the Fiance Visa, but how do you get the ball rolling and how do you apply? What do you need? Does the Fiance file for it (in this case, in the UK) or do I file it being the US Citizen? My boyfriend and I are trying to figure out the best place to reside and also trying to figure out how he would come over here. This would just be straight up, getting a Fiance Visa, getting married in the US....but then what? What do we file after we get married so he can work and reside here? Heeeeeeeellllllllllllllpppppppppppp!!!! lol I am totally lost!!!! Also how long does it take? What are the fees? Etc etc etc...please point me in the right direction... Thank you! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	How long?	So does anyone know if this effects those who met on Matchmaking sites? I guess I am lost. This seems to start off with Marriage Brokers, but it makes everyone else effected too, even if it's just a matchmaking site where people met or even if NO computer was used at all! Can I still file using the old I-129F at this time and just wait for additional paperwork? I just want to make sure I save my place in an ever growing line. Would it help to submit a background check with the I-129F? Why can't I just sign a form so that they can just do a background check. I don't watch much tv, saw about the Immigration stuff, but thought it only was in regards to Illegal immigrants. I'm in Washington State, does that mean I file in California? Also, any advice on this: Wanting to go to UK for a few months to visit my honey starting August 9. Can I get away filing now then leaving in the process (prob after sending the 2nd packet) for 1-3 months? Is that enough time before leaving, and is that too much time to stay over there? I just thought they wanted how we met and where (I included that we met online as well but also included the weeks we spent together). I figured they read so many that they wanted just a short and simple answer ("Just the facts, Ma'am." as my dad always likes to quote from Dragnet). Did everyone else add about how they decided to get married and love stuff? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Proof of Intent to Marry	Hey guys, almost ready to file, just waiting on my fiance's info. One thing is, is the Proof of Intent to Marry letter enough for proof? I know that lots of people submit plans or ring receipts for their future nuptuals, but we don't have those. Is that letter going to be enough? We don't have a ring yet because we are planning on getting a setting for a diamond I have while I am visiting in August. He hasn't officially proposed so I can't tell the circumstances of that. I know that we prob won't get the Visa till next year so I don't want to get a dress now or make any set plans, having no clue of when all this will take place... We will prob be getting married and having a reception at my parents house (so no receipt or info there). We may hire a caterer but we may just do our own food, so no communication there.... ACCO is a company, not a type of product. They have folders with 4 pages (I know, we use them in Accounting at work) but no, one page, like a backing with a 1 fastener at the top... What is the best way to hold it together? Been told a two hole punch at the top with a bracket, would one of those 3 hole side punch project folders with the clear cover work? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Case transferred from Nebraska to California	Hey! Read about them maybe transferring files on the USCIS website. If you look at one of the latest newsletters it mentions that. Maybe its to distribute the back up or they are changing jurisdictions with the new upcoming form. But I distinctly remember saying it's ok to send it to where it says on the old I-129F form and that they will just send it on to the proper place, no problem. Think of it as a good sign that they are starting to process the files now (also notice on the I-129F form that it says in the corner it is good until 6/30/06...) Also because you filed before the new form came out. You will probably receive an RFE (request for further evidence) which has the questions that are now on the new I-129F. Don't hold your breath. It's going to take a while... Hey grismar. Did you use the new I-129F form? I just noticed you sent yours in about 13 days or so before we sent in ours. I think I filed mine the day it came out. Hey there. Your timeline says it was received at NSC on June 21. What date is on your NOA1 paper? Shouldn't be quite as long as yours says (altho with the transfer perhaps). Are you logging in online to check your case status? Yeah just got my receipt Saturday like i said, and have been checking online. Doesn't say transfer or even where it went. All i know is I sent it to Nebraska and my NOA envelope said California. I am assuming that means they transferred my case to California?? Rather frustrating as California (processing Feb 2006) probably has 100 times the amount of cases flucuating through it than Nebraska (Processing April 2006). I was planning on using it on my wedding invitations! Aww that would be awesome on invitations!! That is a fantastic idea! Some Friends of mine got married last year and the walked back down the isle after they were married to "All You Need Is Love" by The Beatles (obviously) it was really great! Cute too! Wicked! Lol I laughed when my boyfriend sent his photocopies and forms to me and I realized that they have a different sized standard paper than the US. I put the packet together with them anyway. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Nebraska/California	Don't know if this was noticed but it seems that Nebraska is no longer handling any marriage based visas (I-129F & I-130) that is why they are all being forwarded to California. If you check out the processing times, Nebraska no longer has the 129F or 130 on their list. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Seattle POE	Since places like Seattle, NY, and Chicago are major POE's (international hubs for direct flights) of course they are going to give you a bad time. That's their job. It sucks yes, but at least it keeps us safe. My boyfriend came in through Texas then flew up to Seattle on a VWP but when he comes over again with his Visa, he probably will be coming direct to Seattle. From in the past notes it looks like Boyfriend is a foul word to them...They are always afraid you are going to get married and try and stay... So I guess the topic comes up again... Should people say Boyfriend/girlfriend or just friend they are coming to see? Good luck hon. I guess the best thing is that you get in, even if they do question you more than usual.
