My original Letter of intent which took 3 weeks to get here (I had sent in a faxed copy with the I-129F) and my fiance's change of address. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	April 2009 K-1 Filers	If you sent in a check you can get your EAC number from the back of the check. They have to write it on there when they cashed it. I was so impatient that once my check was cashed, I called up Bank of America customer service to have them read to me the numbers on the back. Sure enough one was the EAC and I was able to check the status online. They asked for the original to be sent to them as proof that I'm American. I guess I could have sent a passport but I opted for this instead. They just returned it to me. But nothing else came. I just got an envelope that included my Certificate of Citizenship and another slip of paper that says that this is an intitial screening for the proper fee and signatures only. Also that I don't have to resubmit my Certificate of Citizenship. Nothing else was included. I'm guessing this ISN'T my NOA1. When should the NOA1 get here? Or you realized that they can't receive mail at the address you provided? I have an alternative address, a P.O. Box, but what would be the best way to notify USCIS of the change? Also is this even neccessary? What will he need to receive in the mail? I'm early in the process but I'd like to get this taken care of ASAP. I was under the impression before that all papers would be sent to me first. And then if neccessary I would send them to him. But if this is a problem I'd rather get it straightened out now. Philippines	The End of my Visa Journey	It was quick and painless. The Filipino who pre-screened me asked more questions than the CO. The final interview was fun and very light convo. He was very nice and made me feel at ease. He even talked to me in Tagalog. He was impressed because I had the NBI with my mispelled name. Questions asked were: -Husband's name -When and how did we meet? -His occupation and degree -When he saw my Dubai PCC, he asked what did I do and how long did I stay there? -How many people attended our wedding? **then commented on our honeymoon pics in Baguio with butterflies at Butterfly Sanctuary, Camp John Hay Park. Then he typed something on his PC and said the magical words "Your visa is approved". Thanks to all who have helped and answered my questions during the process especially at NVC. It was a long, torture, stressful, depressing and made me eat a lot journey. Finally, it has come to an end. Well, not really the end because I still have yet to receive my visa. To those who will have their interview, it's not as scary as many people thought. As long as you're "real" and you have all the documents to prove, everything will be fine. Philippines	My fiancee is having problems getting a Philippines passport	Does she have any government I.D.'s like SSS, BIR or NBI? She can go to her school and ask for Form 137 or Transcript of Records. That's what I did when it was my first time to apply for passport. I also showed Baptismal Certificate and they accepted it..well, it was in 2002, I don't know the procedure now for first-time applicants. Philippines	USEM- December 2009 Interviews!	Are the December interviewees done with their medical yet? I'm done with mine on Nov 17-18. It was fast and hassle-free. I got there at 12:10pm on first day and finished by 2:25 pm, 2nd day was longer though, because of immunization and releasing. I actually prepared myself for the clinic's bad service since I read a lot of bad reviews on VJ and other sites but as for my experience, it wasn't bad at all. The nurses and staff were nice and very helpful. I suggest to all who will have their medical soon to go there in the afternoon. Philippines	KWENTO KWENTO TIME!!!!!!!!	Ok. Here's my kwento...I am at the hospital right now with my daughter in a hospital bed due to vomitting and LBM. She's on IV because she's already dehydrated and I was literally crying when the nurse inserted that thing through her vein and when they took her blood sample. I wish I was the one laying here. Philippines	Detroit, MI--POE	Hi all! I'm flying on 25th January and my POE will be Detroit, MI. I just wanted to ask if anyone has any idea how it is in Detroit. I read reviews more on LAX but not on Detroit, MI. Is it as bad as LA as some people said about? I assume they will be more strict due to failed terrorist attack.
