We just got our first touch yesterday, and then this morning Mark got an e-mail saying we are approved!!! My wedding date is safe! kicking.gif

I just hope that everyone else who is still waiting has some good news to report soon too!

Oh... and I'm immature enough to be amused that we got approved whilst sitting at number 69 on Igor's list!

biggrin.gif Congratulations Hannah! (I'd find that amusing, too... unsure.gif )

That is a gorgeous dress! I love the fabric, and the colours! The cut is very similar to mine, too, so I'm biased there. wink.gif

Sorry to hear that the MH dress is a bit of a disappointment. Hopefully that is the worst you'll have to deal with and the rest of your wedding will be perfect!

Hoping and praying that Mounia(herol&mounia) will also share that the good news of their approval soon... I'd really want to see them getting approved before I leave Philippines.

Mounia, I hope you and hero are still hanging on tight... I hope that Lynda's approval will inspire you that approval after a long period of waiting is still very much possible. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. rose.gif rose.gif rose.gif

Seconded...I was thinking of Mounia just the other day. I hope she is approved soon!

Hope everyone is doing well today!!!

My trip to visit my two sisters were shortened.. after 11hours of travel--BY BUS-- i received a text message from my kids school directress saying my son fell from a guava tree before the class started and they need to bring him to ER coz he might have broken bones.. and true enough he had fractured his lower arm and the ortho had to put a cast on his arms.

I received the message just as soon as my mother and I got off the bus so I just saw my sisters and then said goodbye right away then, head back to our place-- which meant i had anothe 11 hours of sitting in a bus.. it felt like I travelled 24hours straight, my butt ached from sitting. But all's well, my son was discharged from hospital yesterday and the doctor said he will remove the cast in 3weeks time.

Well, it was another huge expense (with more than half of the bill taken by the orthopedic doctor) but I am still thanking God coz at least it was only minor fracture and it was on the arm, not on the head. It could have been a lot worst.

Oh no! I am glad your son only had a relatively minor injury but what a shame for you. Also, I am not a mother, but I can understand how hard it must be to strike that right balance. You sound like a wonderful mother, though!

I once did spend 23 hours on a bus and I detested it - so cramped and uncomfortable, and unable to rest at all!

Congratulations Susie! biggrin.gif

I'm terrible at placing accents. So I don't. I'll either wait until I find out where they are from, or, if I am really curious, I'll just ask where they're from!

England has a great many accents for what is a small country. There's a different accent for almost every county. As most people tend to move to attend university many end up with a mixed accent and so it's not always apparent to anyone where you are from.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionAll Waiting for I-751 Interview
Why not just wait to file until April?

My greencard expired 20 May 2011, and I filed 2 May 2011.

As long as it is WITHIN the 90 days prior to it expiring, it doesn't matter whether you file on the 1st day or 89th day. :)

How did the interview go, Brogeo?

I'm curious because I had a friendly, casual AOS interview at the San Jose office, and I've not yet been approved for ROC, so wondering if I might have another interview, too.

You're welcome!

We had a great time in NYC celebrating our 3rd anniversary and are really hoping we brought back a "little stowaway" with us

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI-751 July 2011 Filers

Hi guys been out of the loop for a little bit! Any good
News to share?

None on the greencard front for me :(
But we did move on the 29th (well half
Moved so no Internet) and
Our baby girl surprised us on the 4th :D so been busy busy busy!!

Only one problem I'm having is changing my address with USCIS!! Managed the first online part but couldn't do the second online part for the case pending. The form
Wouldn't let me submit it because of the " unrequired" not appropriate to me fields. Won't let me submit with those fields empty, won't accept none or n/a and I can't fill in the bit they want how they want because I don't have a lawyer preparing my case.

Congratulations on the baby! Much better news than receiving a greencard. ;)

CSC are finally moving on with May so looks as if the rest of June and July approvals can't be too far behind now. :)

I can't understand why the change of address won't work on the USCIS site - so silly! It was working earlier this year.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI-751 July 2011 Filers
Here you go, to ease some fears:

I was approved last week (May filer) with no RFE and I didn't feel like I submitted very much, either! What I did submit:

Joint lease (although there's actually four of us on the lease, and at the time of submission we'd only been there four months)
Joint tax returns (but not the official transcripts; just ones I'd printed off at home!)
Joint insurance forms/copies of insurance card
Joint bank account statements
Joint home renters' insurance

I did not submit any photos, we don't have any children together (yet), I don't drive and the car's only in my husband's name, no 401k and no joint utility bills (the utilities are actually under our housemates' names).

Really, the important things ARE evidence of living (the lease) and co-mingling of finances (tax returns, bank accounts). :)

I also feel USCIS may have taken our ages into consideration - we're only 25 and 28.

Yes, your wife just needs to take her NOA1 with her and present it when she is travelling.

I travelled this summer on an expired greencard and NOA1 and had no problems (although do allow for a few minutes' extra delay, as the lady at Heathrow airport had not seen a NOA1 before and I waited for an extra ten minutes while she cleared it with her supervisor).

i notice that they have been slowing down on the i-751 but they're working really hard on the I-130

CSC seems to be slowing in general, I'm afraid!

Only 5 May CSC filers have been approved; 9 June filers have, and 2 July. So the 2 that have been approved in August are definitely exceptions to the rule! A third of April CSC filers have also yet to be approved.

More likely most of you are looking at an approval date sometime in late December/mid January.

Woo! Congrats to all of the recent approvals. :) And it is SO good to see CSC filers at 100%. So often there are one or two people who are missed, and we have no way of knowing if the forumers have just forgotten to update their thread, or whether they've run into difficulties...
