IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	June 2013 I-130 Filers (merged)	I guess my passport wasn't clear enough and my birth certificate was in summary form (wallet size) instead of original and I guess had like holes punched in it but I don't remember that at all... Since your attorney filed for you, it is normal for them to receive the RFE. It is unfortunate, though, one would think paying for an attorney would at least mean you were sure your case was bulletproof and would avoid RFE's.      I hope you get a reply soon. If it wasn't for my attorneys sending me the rfe notice, I would never have gotten it because stupid uscis didn't send it to me in the mail like they said they had inn January 21st I think... This process isn't exciting to me anymore....   I agree, ariendj.  Folks are soooo excited when they get their NOA2!  But it can take two weeks (or more!) for the service center (I was at TSC) to bundle together a bunch of petitions to ship, and then another week (or more!) for NVC to scan them into their system.   My NOA2 was January 31.  TSC didn't ship my petition until February 18th!!!!  And NVC got it scanned in on February 25th.   It's only AFTER NVC scans your petition that the count for the 20-30 BUSINESS days starts and you FINALLY get your case number after that.   It's so hard after being so "up" when you get your NOA2 to realize that you go to the bottom of the pit again....   Sukie	anxiousl7925	Male	Philippines	2014-03-09 14:32:00

I'm in the exact same boat as you they received my RFE on Feb 3rd and over a month now since that I was told tat usually takes a couple of weeks to approve... guess not huh Guys I have a question. Today makes 9months since I sent my petition for my spouse can I ask for a service request to be done? Wouldn't tell me a dang thing about my case except that I had 60 days until they could let me know anything.... And I said after March 10th your time is up and I'll just keep calling and calling and calling until you do something about my case. IF it wasn't for our attorneys office we wouldn't have gotten it... apparently they aren't very sufficient about getting info to you. Though I hope yours goes fast we been over a month now....;( We were issued a RFE yesterday. It's been nearly 2 months since my NOA2 and I'm still unable to do anything  It goes much more quickly once they let you get started though!     really..... :/   So where is the SO CALLED PRESERVING FAMILY UNITY that they say that they work towards??? Oh yea that's right it doesn't exist except when it only comes to them....   Sad.... Because THEY ARE A BUNCH OF LIARS that WANT to take credibility for something they think is so great of a task... they forget about the people that it effects. They prolong, procrastinate, and LIE just to try to make "THEIR NUMBERS" look good. ... SERIOUSLY??? THEY that hold the highest of standard just want to play the competition game just like any other business.... YOUR TACTICS STINK USCIS.... (laying on the sarcasm really thick)... THANK YOU USCIS FOR SUCH A MESS OF A PROCESS I DIDN'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT UNTIL I HAVE MET UP WITH YOU! As a matter of fact I told the office of mine that this is exactly why I don't vote because whenever people need help you don't do a thing. Also told them that since they aren't going to help they can withdraw their selves from my case because they are serving no purpose.... Yes, but I honestly don't think we can do anything. I don't think even senators or congressmen would help. But they might be more helpful than you contacting them, so if you really want, try that.   I have some pretty realistic hopes on dates and stuff (NOA2 by mid March, send in everything to NVC by end of April), but I am trying not to hold onto them too tight. Even though My lawyers got the request for e evidence letter and email it to me and I sent the evidence they requested back to my attorneys and they sent it in, I still haven't gotten the hard copy of that RFE from where the uscis sent to my mailing address even though they NOW have my evidence. Apparently my birth certificate had a tear in it and they needed the original size and I had the wallet and I guess my passport wasn't clear enough ether. So I got a original size birth certificate from the health department and along with the passport and I scanned them and emailed them to myself. tomorrow I will print that passport picture in color and I will send that original birth certificate to my attorneys by mail.
