Your fiancee will receive an e-mail from the consulate with the instructions. She will have to pay the visa fee ay VTB24 bank. Well.. altough I agree with most others, we actually planned our wedding even before applying for the Visa. Our wedding date is june 9,2012 and we booked the venue, photographer, catering etc back in July last year (because I was in the States all summer). I will admit I have been a bit worried, however, I believe everything will work out in time! I didnt tell the guests to book flights and hotels yet though We did the same thing I was in the States in summer 2010 - that's when we started planning everything. We got married in August 2011 - I arrived to the US 2 weeks before the wedding. But I tell everybody: plan beforehand only if you're ready to move the wedding date if something goes wrong. Never trust just what 1 person says. When 2 people say it from 2 different sources, then it is a better chance it is accurate. They should be more accurate, but they are human as well. At least you now know. I thought it was odd having an immigrant type interview on Monday when they know the medical needs to be before this. Now I'm going to always ask twice, or even 3 times and try to get the information from different sources. The thing is that I have read on Russian forums that some people had the same problem (also August 1-2), but I figured that I should probably wait for Packet 4 to arrive. Packet 4 still didn't arrive and, well, i was concerned about that... and I also decided to ask them about the interview date. I got financial documents from my fiance and noticed that the amount of income in i-134 differs from the one stated in the letter from work (my fiance is paid hourly and we used an online calculator when he was filling out the form). Hi everyone, i have a question.. is 1040 same as tax transcript? coz my fiance sent me the 1040, but ive always read about a tax transcript..if ever those two arent same, are scanned copies okay? Help!! Check the Embassy requirements. For example, the website of US Embassy in Moscow says: Most recent year tax returns (form 1040) or tax transcripts from IRS So I'm going to use the 1040 form, but they require the W-2 form anyway, even if I'm going to bring the transcript. The rules and required documents are different for each country, so the best thing is just to check the local Embassy website or contact them. I confirmed, we are in "Additional Processing". I have decided to enroll the help of my congressman's office once again. Tired of this ####### of big black holes that no one can tell you what is going on, other than we are delaying things. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January 2011 Filers!!!	Ok, I shouldn't of said the whole : "Fast lane" stuff before, it just bit me from behind. UGH!!! I called the embassy, and they did get my package today, but the lady said: "Since we get such little amount of fiance visa aplications here, we book them just ONE DAY A MONTH, so yours is probably good for august. Call again the first week of july to make sure you still fit in august" I dropped dead when I heard this. I haven't been able to see Chris since december due to his new job, and now this???? It doesn't make sense, since they barely get them, they schedule things once a month and go into months and months of waiting, because they barely get them. UGH!!!!!!! Stupidity to it's core becomes bureaucracy. That's how I see it. Anyhow, that's me venting... sorry. OMG... one day a month sounds crazy... Hope you'll be able to have your interview before August... Anyway, I wanted to congratulate everybody on the new approvals! Hope, we all won't have to wait too long from now on. I've just sent an inquiry to NVC via e-mail, hope to hear from them soon. My fiance was in a cocktail competition this weekend for the chance to win the opportunity to represent St. Lucia through the Hotel and Tourism Association at a Carribbean Cocktail competition in Miami Florida. We have not found out the results yet, but if he wins, he will have the opportunity to meet my family while in the states for that competition. Two and a half months earlier than expected! I finally was able to travel to Russia after a plane mechanical failure caused me to need to reschedule the trip. I uploaded a new picture of my fiancée's surprise to see me. Shortly after this picture, she fell to the floor in complete surprise that I was indeed there. Mark is fine, Yokosuka is 400+ kms south of the epicenter and besides being shook around some and tsunami warnings all night everyone there is well and no damage so far has been noted. My ticket back to Japan is for March 26th... fingers crossed I can still get there then, it's awfully hard being so far away from him with all this happening. It's good to read that he's fine. Thank God. Japan has been all over the news in Russia. It's bed that something like that happens on my fiance's birthday, but well.. Hamilton and I finally found our own apartment!!! YEA!!! What this means is we will no longer be living with his mom, mom's boyfriend, his brother, sister, and sisters boyfriend!!! The living situation has been causing us a bit of stress, but now we will be free of that and able to focus on US again! (I am so excited about having OUR place! OUR kitchen, OUR bathroom, OUR living room!) .... shoot, I just realized that this post might irritate a lot of people who are not able to live with their fiance during this time.... I appologize for any upset I might cause, I just needed to share my excitement! That's great! Don't worry, we will all be there sooner or later And for now we can just be happy for you Good thing we got our own place and we even had an opportunity to choose it together. Nope, luckily he isn't, I'm the planner and organizer so I was the one who did the research here on VJ and put the package together. I told him there's a board I go to talk to others going through the same process and I printed out the guides etc. from here for him to read through but he's not on here Just like us So, I just got off Skype with my baby, made him call to NCSC again about the problems with checking the case status online. They said that they are aware of the problem and IT department is working on it, but they can't give him the time frame for when it's going to be fixed. They also said that our petition is likely to be processed in 45-60 days What was that? Early April's fool day from USCIS? Cause when he called before they kept talking about good old 5 months... He got put through to the second level and spoke to a very friendly and helpful officer who put in a request with IT right away and told him we should hear back by March 19 (which means that until then it should be fixed, I guess) If not, we should call back anytime. Ask for manager from the first level customer support, tell them you wish to have a request put in with IT...IT will not ever talk to you. The second level manager that can look up the info on the internal system can verify the petition status and put in the request with IT. Do not ask to be transfered to IT, as they will likely just say they do not do that and not listen to you from there on out. Thanks. I'll tell him. I started feeling that i don't care about online status anymore, i'm just scared of what if they lose something or who knows what else can happen.
