IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsUSCIS has turned my marriage into a joke...
Completely agree Hotter Otter. I don't hate the illegals either but why shouldn't we complain about the shabby way we have been treated. But the truth must be told, these people were brought to the front of the line to the detriment of those who wanted to do this the legal way. Of course it's all down to politics. This has been the hardest day for me too, I've spent most of it in tears. Usually I try to keep positive, I don't want to let my family here know that I'm depressed. I always put on a brave face. I'm sick of trying to explain to friends and neighbours why I'm still not with my husband. Hopefully I'll feel more positive tomorrow, we all need to stay strong. This will end soon, please God.

Thank you for sharing, I'm glad you had no issues. My husband is very nervous about his medical there after having read some of the other reviews on VJ. Best of luck finishing out the K3!

Tell him to relax, nothing to worry about at all.

Had my medical in London on Friday, Knightsbridge Doctors. Everything was ok, had no inoculations to get as I had all my records up to date. If you do need any, get them before you go from your own doctor as they are pretty expensive otherwise. Make sure sure you take proof of them with you. Staff there were really nice, no problems at all.

Well that's what we're doing, not paying the bills. Thanks guys, the support here is amazing, thanks LoveMyTico. Bring on the medical tomorrow, and hope the embassy responds quickly. So off to London early tomorrow morning, have to leave home at 5 30am for flight at 7 45. Back home around 10 pm, it's gonna be a long day but glad to have it out of the way. Early night on the cards for tonight so will update on Saturday.

OMG, I'm freaking out! There's still a chance ours will be closed. We have 261 submitted and the AOS invoice is sitting there for payment. This is scary. It's saying on ceac that K3 is ready, just waiting for medical report. They'll have that by next Wednesday.

B & T_P you got your interview 22 days after it was received by the embassy! Fast. Have you had your medical already? I see you have paid your AOS fee but you're still going with the k3?

Money are not an issue...

When you say fees, you mean CR-1 fees? Because we thought to go with CR-1 until we hear news from Embassy. So, is there possibility to pay fees for CR-1 send documents what we already done with AOS... and when Embassy call me to get I-129F and to finish the process there, and if the time difference is a month, just to wait for CR-1. I hope you understand my question smile.png))

Yes, i see what you're saying. As you've already paid the AOS fee and things seem to be moving along, you should stay on this path, the 130, if its only going to save a month. But if you go ahead with the 129, go for your medical, pay the fee of $240, you will get no refund from NVC for the money youv'e already spent on fees for the 130. What we're doing is to go with the 129 in the hope that I will get an interview before the end of April. When I get my medical next week and they send the report to the Embassy they can then schedule the interview, hopefully within 4 weeks. I know the cost may not be an issue for you, but I can't see the point of throwing it away. Obviously if going the 129 route will save you, say 2 months, go with it. Look at your embassy processing times for the 129, you may get an idea of how long it will take. It's all a balancing act.

No, but it's a waste of money. If you're going with the 129 you will have to pay the $240 fee. You shouldn't have started to pay the fees until you're sure you're not going with the 129.

Same thing happened to us. So we started with CR-1, because we didn't want to waste time any more, but we still did't hear anything from Embassy. As I can see you have medical scheduled Posted Image)) I don't know call the Embassy and ask, I don't know

B&T_P, do you have a 129 in the pipeline also?

Received an email from the embassy this morning. They have sent out a letter on 13th march, today, saying they are ready to process my 129 and to follow the instructions in the letter. Should get that letter tomorrow! Have everything ready, I'm good to go. Woohoo!

Got word today that our I129 has been forwarded to the embassy. Don't want to get my hopes up that it will be processed though, will more likely be closed as our 130 is now in NVC, just waiting on a case number. Hopefully it will go through, just want to be with my husband, whatever the cost.

You'll need to get some patience. Some of us here filed in April/May last year. It's been stressful. Hopefully things will improve this year. Good luck.

Yes, really lucky one!
We feel so stacked

Sorry I missed your question B&T_P, was busy looking after my grandchildren. :) Thanks to LoveMyTico for answering that. She's a little Jen, oh, sorry, a little gem. Lol. Yes, we were very lucky the way things went for us. Really I think it's time the K3 was not an option anymore for people who have filed an i130. Such a waste of time and energy. Good luck with the rest of this stressful, tiring process.

CanadaUS Consulates in Canada

I'm from Winnipeg originally as well. Yeah, you'll be going through Vancouver. Start saving for that trip now. I was able to do the medical and interview in one 2-day trip, but they've changed which medical clinic you can use and apparently synchronizing medicals with interviews is harder than it used to be.

Do you know if all winnipeg applications get sent to Vancouver? Or is it based on which area you're going to be living in the states?

CanadaUS Consulates in Canada
Hello,
When we filed our I-129F back in September 2012, we listed Calgary as the consulate I would be going through because I am from winnipeg and it was the easiest one to get to. Filling out my timeline I noticed that Calgary isn't an option for a consulate, has anyone else on here from Canada gone through Calgary?
