Furthermore, it would only be valid for the length of the I-94, so it may only be in-hand a short time before the I-94 expires or it may never be in hand before the I-94 expires. I am trying to find the KEV as you suggested.   You're calling the wrong people, Darnell is telling you to call the NVC (a State Department entity) to obtain the case number if you don't already have it.  The first 3 letters of the case number would start with KEV.  Once you have that number, he is then telling you to call the State Department's visa hotline and ask for a case status using that case number from the NVC. An updated DS-230 can be brought to the interview.   2.) Also, if for some reason they deny the Visa because of any small mistakes, what would be a normal/acceptable time to re-apply? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	K1 visa, confused about payment and amount	She is not be eligible for an SSN until she becomes a US resident.  Unless she is required to file a US tax return, she is not eligible for an ITIN unless you are already married.   A photocopy of both sides of your credit card is unacceptable for a petition filing.  An actual check or money order drawn on funds from a US financial institution must accompany the package.  The guide you read about credit cards being acceptable is only applicable when paying fees at a stateside field office in-person. The "no action on your part" means the petitioner or beneficiary does not have to contact the Embassy in order to have them re-validate the petition in order for an interview take place. It is taken to the interview. The packet 3 letter tells the beneficiary that.   The OP's question was not about an updated letter of intent to marry, it was solely about the expiration date on the NOA2 which has nothing to do with an updated letter of intent.  My answer to the OP was the Embassy has the ability to re-validate the petition if an interview has not taken place by the expiration date on the NOA2, I also correctly stated the re-validation of the petition by the Embassy requires no action on the part of the OP and I also correctly stated that re-validation of petitions is common and routine.
