my name and address is too long to fit in the Form I-I30. I told my husband to type it out instead coz its more better if we submit it through text/typing and not through the ballpen.

But the problem is, my name and address cannot be fit in the form. What should we do? I want to put my complete name there coz i know for sure that the USCIS is very sensitive in details....

Any help?

Once your CR1 is approved. Contact the embassy and let them know you wish for your K3 interview date to be for the CR1, and they will change it over. This is what I did, and there were no problems.

I don't have police report for my wife nor the photographs. what do i do next? is it supposed to be like this?

Yes, after the IV bill is paid, you send in the DS-230 and all of the original supporting docs. This is what everyone has to do.

David, I like your optimism but looking at the data, which as a engineer is in my blood, that it doesnt look too promosing for CSC filers. I have been keeping close track with approvals and Igor's list it has been 0 K3 and 0 I130 approval this workweek for CSC filers. It could have been that people might be getting approval mails or email slow or update is not done yet but comparing 30 or 40 approvals in each of previous weeks to none this week is a horific change. Understand that some people pointed out that its just small percentage of people on VJ but its the best random data we have which statiscally represent very small margin of error.

VSC people, please dont think I am against your transfer cases, but this whole USCIS system is peice of $#!@. I am happy for all those approvals you guys geting and hope to get one for us too. I will be just happy to see atleast 1-2 approvals of k3 and 130 for CSC filers so that we know they are not ignoring us.

You know it's a double edge sword for us all....

The people whom are coming from the VCS might be processed a bit faster.....

However the people who were already at the CSC might take a bit longer since the work load was increased.

I had gotten three touches this month.. I was getting excited.... then the transfers came from VSC and nothing since..

Don't get me wrong I am happy for anyone who gets there cases finished... I just hope it doesn't change the CSC in to a office like the VSC and we all suffer a slowdown..

David, I really hope you are right becuase the thought of our slowing down making me sick. By the way I am also in Portland.

Since throughput is determined not by the last date they are working on but the number of petitions processed over a given period of time, you can't judge throughput based on the only data we are given.

Load-leveling from the start makes sense but only if they are also factoring in time-slicing -- how much time is given to a specific petition class. So if Vermont is devoting only 10% of its time to IR1/CR1s and California is devoting 50% of its time to them, splitting the load 50/50 isn't going to provide the numbers everyone would prefer to see.

More to the point, because CSC is getting leftovers from Vermont does not mean that their throughput will slow. It just means that it will take them longer to get through the stack.

All I am going to say that this situation with VSC is disgusting and I am happy for the people who getting out of that blackhole as they say. This did also caused another thing which is 0 K3 and I130 approvals so far this week for CSC filers. I hope they dont ignore our cases forever.

If you started with Cali, I would be worried (you would be months behind other people in your service center). If you started with Vermont, there were people months ahead of you in the same situation, but these recent transfers should be helping out (and you would be hoping to be transferred also). I filed in Vermont on 1/10/08 and was transferred last week to Cali. That transfer was the only activity on my file the entire time.

oh dear god, please tell me that people months ahead of me STILL haven't gotten their paperwork done.

From your case you should have transferred. I would try to make noise about this as much as I can. Although this doesnt help my situation since I am CSC filer in July but I would rather have you approved ahead of me i CSC. Good luck. good.gif

I am sure that everyone that got transfered will get approval soon. We all must continue to be patient and support each other. This process's is painful for everyone here. It will make our relationships with are partners stronger because of all the suffering we have all had being apart. I try and stay busy so time will pass faster.

I think as my personal view that people who have waited long are judging the people who just filed at CSC in a wrong manner. We are all humans and we have emotions that affects us. This process is more emotional than rational. The rationality does say that people should have been gone through as FIFO in ideal sytem but on the other side al those CSC filers who got approved luckily in a month has given a hope to filers who filed after them would be the same case.

I am precisely talking about my experience, this is the time when we just detached from our significant other and start the process with heavy heart of dealing to live for next few months and suddenly we found our process will be going to delay. When these people such as me raised concern in the way that VSC should be working in the right way rather than slowing down CSC than we were accused of being impatient and unreasonable.

I would personally prefer my case to be at the last once the whole backlog is cleared, its not as easy as it is said but I would deal with it. Again its a rollercoaster ride sometime we are high in happiness and sometime we are low in sadness. We should try to support each other in a right manner than being selfish with our own personal issue.

There are ways to expedite your case however, I doubt that you fit any of the criteria. I sent my I-130 in during February this year and it is still not done, I have been waiting almost 90 days for work authorization so I can sympathize with your case but unfortunately like many other people you will just have to wait and it stinks. Perhaps you can go visit your wife or maybe she can come visit you???
I don't think a rush fee would ever be put in place because it gives people who are better off finically a better chance at being processed then just going off the order they arrived in. It usually doesn't seem like it goes in order as I've seen people who applied months after me be processed before me but it is not their fault maybe their cases were easier to process then mine etc.

At any rate it sucks but you just have to learn to wait as will your wife when she gets here and wont be able to work for a few months or leave the US for a few months.

David is approved and I dont think we need to discus this topic anymore. Good luck for all transfer cases and hope they all approved soon so that CSC can show its love again for original CSC filers.

BTW, I don't think we're arguing as much as we are stating our positions and feelings. If everyone is respectful, I don't see that being honest about the feelings and feelings about the feelings (and feelings about the feelings about the feelings) is a big deal.

Atleast this humor makes the argument better. Also I would take the 'cutting in line' phrase back, I was just bit upset by the ill remarks made in response to David's frustration which I share as well.

There is no need to srgue among any of us. I am sure that the reason that CSC got so many files from VSC is to even out the timeline between both places. It is what it is and I think that is fair. That way one does not get so far ahead of the other. just remember we did not get to pick our service center. Come on we a team quit letting the service center cause a problem between us. I am just as sick of this ####### as anone is. we are here for supprt and information sharing. Along with a little crying. But, we all can bit.... and have that right but not at each other. TO: CaNdiD wiTcH

The reason I waited to file is that I moved back here to the U.S. from Japan to helped start up a new Advertising firm. My wife and I wanted to wait to be sure it would not fail. Also, so that I had a good income for the I-864 AOS.

So after I / we felt the company was doing well and my income was where it should be for my position in the company. I / we filed our I-130.

Ok.. At least now we know.. Anyway, just hang in there.. Waiting part is kinda frustrating.. See how some people in here have been through.. Our time of approval will come.. We just need to wait.. Like you, the question of reason behind VSC slow aprroval is also in our heads. If you could find time to visit your wife, it would be good.. My husband is coming over this October.. At least we could spend some time together in between the painstaking visa process..

David, I didnt needed to read the whole thread and understanding the frustration that you going through. That feeling you got of how close you were of getting the approval if those transfers wouldnt have happened is painful. Its a different kind of frustration that the VSC filers went through. Atleast they had the trend that its going to take a while. Here on our side we saw all those approvals happening left and right in a month for june and july filers made us sure we would be out by end of august. I dont find many people in our boat because most of people are approved who filed a week before me and rest people are very recent filers.

Any VSC filer would think we are whining but hopefully they understand this feeling like how close we came to be approved and now our line just got 3 months longer just like that. I would be happy that al these transfer cases keep getting approved on a faster rate which they are happening while they can also approve atleast 1 or 2 CSC filers cases at the same time. I have not seen a single approval for CSC filers for last 10 days while there has been more than 10 transfer cases approved in same amount of days. Funny thing is we were sympathizing with the VSC people and when they just cut into our line and we just raised a concern they start being quite uncivilised. I almost feel like one statement I read by one VSC filer saying 'everytime a CSC filer getting approved in a month is like a stab in the back', I dont believe in superstitions but I think we got jinxed after that.

Another thing I will point out that when there was an opposite trend going on earlier this year and sometime last year when VSC was processing faster than CSC they did not transfer any cases from CSC to VSC. We are just raising our concern about our cases in a civilsed way so I would expect all the VSC filer to just be respectful of others and have an argument in a respectful manner. Thank you

Hi SKluvSH and Hyd617,

Can you please clarify for me - did you guys have to take 1 or 2 PCCs? 1) Hyd Passport Office 2) District Police Station

It seems this process varies from place to place in India. My wife has been in Hyd since the time of Passport Issuance (3 yrs ago). Since her permanent residence and her passport office are both in Hyd, Hyd Passport Office said they are not going to give any separate PCC from what District Police Station will provide.

Is there some extra seal/stamp that Hyd Passport Office must put on the PCC?

Thanks

Falcon,
I am in the process of getting the PCC from passport office and I have not seen the PCC from District police. When I do I will let you know. I have an added stuff that Samira was born and grew up in Saudi so we would need PCC for her Saudi record. We are trying to figure out where we get that. Good luck with yours.

Shoaib

Can you give me some details about the Medical Appt and exam?
Is there any preparation that can be done *before* the exam? like vaccination records etc.

My wife is in Hyd and she is the benficiary/applicant. I'm US Citizen, her petitioner. We are currently waiting for IV bill.
She applied for Police Clearance at local Police station in Hyd and was told that it can take 10-15 days. Her passport is 2 yrs old.
Is this expected time for PCC in Hyd or is there way to get it faster?

Also some posts said get Income Tax Clearance before leaving India. Is this something you looked into?

Thanks!

Hey Falcon,
My wife has also applied for PCC in Hyderabad and that is what they have told her. She would be picking the PCC either friday or monday. That would be about 10 days. Although we are still waiting for NOA2 but we just wanted to have everything ready before approval. Good luck with rest of your process.

Yep, I still see Sep 03, 2007....

they may have changed the dates but a few of us are still stuck on the bad server. can anyone please give us the dates for I-130 and I-129F for VSC? we cant wait for the other servers to get updated...

my internet explorer browser still shows old dates when i tied the new google chrome browser it showed the new dates. I think a different browser can show the updated processing dates such as mozilla.
