K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHELP! NVC forwarded petition to wrong country

So I called the NVC, who told me to call the UK consulate, who then told me to contact the consulate in Guangzhou. However there is only an email form for contacting the Guangzhou consulate, and it requires a GUZ/GZO case number that I do not have. I have my INS receipt # and my Case # with LDN.

Does anyone know if there is a direct phone contact in the Guangzhou consulate for US citizens or have advice on what I should do at this point?

In order for the Embassy in London to transfer the file to the Consulate in Guangzhou, the IV unit at the Consulate in Guangzhou will have to send a request to the IV unit at the Embassy in London.

Business with the GZ IV unit is only done through the email form on their website, not by telephone. Go ahead and use the LND case number and explain the situation in the email text field.

Give the Consulate in Guangzhou a week to respond to your message, if you do not hear from them after that time, try calling the State Department's visa line at (202) 663-1225 and explain your situation to them.

Do you think it would be easier for me to hire a lawyer in my home state of Nevada, or is the process available to do across state?

Since immigration is dealt with on the federal level, any lawyer, regardless of location can represent you. As others have suggested and I will reiterate, you will need a lawyer who is experienced with complicated immigration cases.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresIs it advisable to send supplemental evidence to NVC?
The NVC is only a mail stop for K1 cases, all the NVC does with K1 files is assign a case number and send it to the appropriate Embassy or Consulate. Sending the NVC additional evidence would be an exercise in futility because the file would very likely gone by the time they received the evidence.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCriminal Record and P.O. Box question

Also I am going to be using a P.O. Box for this whole process. I have not started the process and want to send in the I-129F package next week. Where should I state my address as a P.O. box instead of my home address on any forms? Thank you!

Unless a form specifically asks for a physical address (e.g. intended address of beneficiary), you can use your PO Box in the address field on all forms. I did this and had no issues.

OP, one of two things will happen, you will receive an RFE for all the required items that you did not include with the petition or the petition will be rejected outright for improper submission. If the petition is rejected you will have to file another one and pay the fee again.

You can try to send the required items to USCIS now but realize that this is likely to be nothing more than an exercise in futility as it is highly unlikely the items would get matched with the file.

Based on your post, it appears that the petition that was filed on your behalf is what was approved. No visa has been approved since you have not yet had an interview.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresPrevious Petition Fears

At this stage, it is looking like the K1 visa process again, as much as we want to tie the knot (K3), it seems like going that route may take longer, and be harder.

If you were to get married prior to beginning the immigration process, the visa you would ultimately be seeking would be a CR-1 visa. Current NVC procedures regarding the K3 make it a virtually unobtainable visa. FYI, a CR-1 visa holder is issued a green card upon entry to the US whereas K1 visa holder must go through the Adjustment of Status process before being issued a green card.

Is that referring to the petition from 2011 that another man submitted for me? Or does it just mean that my current beau can't have submitted a previous petition? Does the petition approval mean that the visa needs to have been issued? That I cancelled the whole thing in 2011 pretty much directly after NOA2 matter? (It never went past that point) Am I worried about nothing?

The quote you are referencing is directed at US Citizens filing a petition on behalf of a fiance(e).

Yes, you can (and maybe even should) go visit your fiance after you submit the your petition to USCIS (the I-129F is a petition form, not an application form). Doing so will not cause you any problems as far as the process is concerned.

I have also seen quite a bit of negative information on Holmes and Lolly. They were one firm I was considering when I filed. I am glad to see there are happy couples as well. I ended up using Michael Solomon and never regretted it. It is true that many of the straight forward cases can be done on their own. Ours probably could have as well but I did not find this site until the month after I had filed. I probably would have used an atty anyways because I had a few concerns about our case. As they state all the time around here, most likely an atty isn't needed, but each has to weigh his or her own case and do what they feel they need in order to ensure success.

So we gathered everything but I have a question before we send it. The g-325 form on the end it says sign and date. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresG325a question about employment section
So my fiancé has another question. He didn't have a passport until now and he applied for one to come and visit me. Now we are about to send the I-129f and it says to provide them copies of his passport... What should he do? His passport will be ready in 4 weeks and it will be empty. He is the Petitioner
ArinlarsFemaleGermany2012-07-29 16:01:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresG325a question about employment section

No not yet. Well did he visit you or did you visit him? If you visited him, then you need to send your passport copies to show the entry stamps to help fulfill the proof of meeting face to face within last 2 years. If he visited you, then your passport copies are not needed right now.
You will need your information when you apply for the K1. That part will happen in Germany and at the consulate there. Remember, this is a 2 step process. This first part is petitioning for the ability to apply for the K1. Once approved, then comes the emphasis on you(when you apply for K1).
I am a proponent of having the checklist in front of you while assembling the package. That way you know you have fulfilled all the necessary requirements and paperwork. Do not leave any lines blank. Put "N/A" instead or "None". If you have any other specific questions, feel free to message me. If I don't know, I will tell you so

I visited him twice and now I am waiting for him to visit me. We printed the checklist and we do this step by step. Thank you for your help.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresG325a question about employment section

Absolutely. You need to show a complete timeline for the last 3-5 years. i.e. if you were a student , state so for that timeframe. If unemployed, then say so. Don't want to hide anything from the government. They already know anyhow
P.S. Are you the USC (petitioner) or the beneficiary?

I am the beneficiary. I live in Germany and my fiancee in the US. We are about to file the papers this week. I need to send him the g325a and do I need to send birth certificate and copies of my passport as well?

Hello, me and my fiancé are filling the forms for the k1 visa. I am filling now the g325a and I have some questions.

3. Should I include the contracts or some evidence where I worked?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNoa1 and vaccination questions

Hi,

welcome to the journey.

The petition will probably take three to five months (maybe less, maybe more).

If you don't have your "Impfpass" anymore, maybe you can get a replacement at the doctor's office that did the vaccinations. Another option would be to have your titer counted (Titerbestimmung) for Td/ Tdap and Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (which is most likely not covered by your insurance). They will ask you at the medical exam if you have ever had a Varicella immunization or the illness itself, thus you will not need proof.

X-rays will have to be made at the panel physician, there's no way around it.

The medical exam cost 140 ?. I went to the doctor in Frankfurt.

Good luck!

Hello and thank you. I will go to Frankfurt too I live only 1 hour from there so they will sent it there probably. Ok so it's titerbestimung good to know.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNoa1 and vaccination questions

Once you update your timeline with your NOA1 date (should be soon) then your timeline will give you an estimate based on the other VJ members timelines. This is just an estimate though, but fairly precise provided members update correctly and you have no RFE's or anything like that. You can expect 6 months...

The costs you will find out based on how much you have to pay for them in your country.
You will have to go to the Dr approved by USCIS to have your medical evaluation. He will determine what you need etc....You can ask the doctor about having a titer drawn to see if you have immunity or not.
Good luck

Thank you. I was just worrying about having it sent to the right address or not. We are so anxious about this. 6 months is ok I think.... The doctor here was really weird about when I said about the vaccination blood test, so it's a titer drawn. I told her that I needed that for the visa etc, and she said there isn't such a thing. Really unfriendly too. Anyway I will wait until I get to the dr approved by uscis then.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNoa1 and vaccination questions
Hello, my fiance sent the I-129F package on 3 August at this address

USCIS
Attn: I-129F
2501 South State Highway 121 Business
Suite 400
Lewisville, TX 75067

He lives in Seattle. We found this address at this site http://www.uscis.gov...00045f3d6a1RCRD it's the official site for the k1 visa the uscis. How long will it take to be proccessed? They received the check on 9 August.

Also, I have done the all the vaccinations earlier in my life, but I lost the vaccination pass. My doctor, in Germany said that there isn't any way to prove that I have done those exept the polio and the hepatitis vaccinations, so do I have to do all of them? Does anyone know how much they costs? And should I do an X-ray to my doctor so that my insurance can pay it or must it be done at the doctors office that is working for the embassy?
