Actually, My Wife doesn't drive and I was going to be out of country from Oct 15 till Oct 30. We went for walk in on Oct 13th, but they didn't allowed walk in, Instead they offered to reschedule. Which we have to accept sad.gif. But I guess it didn't delay it as it is in queue for Interview one week after FP.

On Small Note for my FP I was able to do the Walk-in earlier than my scheduled. So Seattle DO some times allow Walk-in FP, some times don't.

I am happy for you, I read your profile last night and was happy for you and still am, I got my approval letter today!!!!!!!!!!! card production ordered. My story is a long one, I got married in august 2007 and got my PRC in Dec of 2007 and had a very nasty divorce in june of 2008, my husband swore he would see me leave the usa,but with God on my side I prevailed. My divorce was final in august, and then I filed for removal I 751 on a waiver bases on the 1st of October and went through all the process,Bio and TODAy !!! got my mail, card production ordered!!!! I jumped out of my apartment with joy!!1, from beginning it took, 18 MONTHS from I 485, I30, I 751 on waiver bases, without interview, GOD is mighty, I did this all on my own, no lawyers,or help. God is mighty, also have my son's 10 years card.
TO ALL WHO ARE WAITING, GOD WILL SURELY DO IT FOR YOU, BE PRAYERFUL AND GOD WILL GIVE YOU YOUR HEARTS DESIRES. iTS BEEN A STRESSFUL JOURNEY FOR ME, BUT NOW i AM FREE kicking.gif,.
MY documents can be beried for now, I was waiting for an interview,but god is good,none came, 3 months from when I filed my I -751 on waiver to approval.

I am sorry for your issues, I was in the same shoes as you are, I got married inaugust of 2007, not even 2 years, and My USC husband showed me what hell looked liked since I got my PRC in dec of 2007, my divorce was final by august of 2008, and I filed for removal I 751 in Oct of 2008 and went through BIO 2 weeks later or so, I added all the evidence and more, and a very long 12 pages of my personal letter, and believe me, I have been waiting 3 months to get a letter of interview, but guess what??? I got approved without interview,2 days ago, no interview or rfe, it took exactly 3 months from filing the I 751 to approval, and my whole immigration journey from I-130,I -485 and I-751 ( on waiver ground) lasted only 1 year and 5 months, God is the doer of all things, it was stressful, but trust me, I added all the evidence I could get.
You can send me a personal email and I will guide you, since day 1 I never used any lawyers,until the end, just took my time and filed.

I filed on waiver ground on OCT 1st 2008, and was approved on the,did my BIometrics 3 weeks later and was approved on the 3rd of February, so it took 3 months, for the I 751 approval without interview.

We thought we updated the appointment online but it turned out we only made an info-pass appointment. Hi, no need to worrry, When I sent in my I 751 documents, I never had any status online,until I got my NOA2 then it showed as recieved on the day they got my package, I wentfor Biometrics and the status still didn't change, until the approval date 3 months later, it doesn't change until approved or denied, neither does it change when you get an RFE, no need to worry, it doesn't matter if you changed your Biometrics appointment, they have your records in their system, stop stressing and get on with life.
Also about your moving, its ok if you changed your address online, but to be safe call uscis and confirm if they haver recieved your change of address notice. if you registered on their website for case status check, when you get your approval, just make sure you check your old address box and inform the post office of your change of address as well,and give them your new address so your letters can be forwarded to your new address, most people make mistakes when they move and do not go to the post office to change their delivery address, this helps alot.

If you have heaalth insurance, add that, you have to send something new with the same old documents you submitted, marraige certificate,divorce decree and more, RFE is important, if you send back same thimngs as before, trust me, you might not like the outcome, so send in some more items, with the old ones you previously sent. goodluck

another thing you can do is find bank statements mailed to that address, letters mailed to you also showing this place as your residence, any official mail to your address, bank statements insurance letters, magazine subscriptions, health, insurance, even magazine subscriptions, even considered junk, this will work perfectly, this shows proof, also if you live in a rented place with your mum,you must be listed in the rental agreement, get a copy from yr mumthis is basically all you need,

Thanks to all I have read and viewed up here, I am finally free from immigration at least until citizenship. I got my physical green card today in the mail, after 3 months of filing I 751 with a waiver, 1 rfe and no interviews, got approved and have my card on hand.
I married my USC husband in August of 2007, divorced finalized in august of last year, trust me, I went through hell, treid all he could to make me leave, but God was on my side.Friends and evidences made it worth the while,and of course my 13 pages personal letter included in my package. I was ready for the worst but I prayed over my apckage before sending it in. and its all over, my story is a long one, but one thing I have to say here is,people assume all relationship are not genuine, but some are and most american spouses take advantage of us non citizen and think they can suceed, not all the case. I had 2 judges testify on my behalf,and wrote affidavits for me, to all they witnessed, my story is long,but I am FREE from all.
Seattle office is a great place for immigration,fast service.
I filed all the papers myself,no assistant from anyone or lawyers. got my conditional green card in march of 2008, and now exactly 1 year later got the 10 year greencard through waiver. I was scared but placed my hopes in God.
I wish everyone luck in all they are going through,its hard and stressful, but the only thing you can do is get on with life and pray, whatever will be,will be, if anyone needs help on what ever issues I will gladly be here to answer all questions.

Congrats to you kicking.gif , I think you and I are in the same postion, I also filed with a waiver, I also recieved my physical green card after 3 months of filing, I just filed in Oct of 2008 and recieved the greencard today,Thursday 12th feb. YOu are right,prayers go a long way.

Hi, She cannot get an I-551 stamp in her passport for removing of condition I 751, you only get that when you adjust status, once, for I751, you only get an extention letter which will be mailed to you soon, then after that you either get an interview date or an approval for her 10 yr green card, what you can do at the biometrics appointment is explain that she is travelling and need a fast extention letter,they might be able to issue one quickly. so before she travel, make sure she gets her extention letter,if not she might not be able to get back into the country, be careful not to travel without the extention letter.if not immigration at the port of entry might bare her from entry,you will get it the mail soon,be patient

This isn't correct. The OP is an LPR, whether there are conditions or not, he is not illegal upon divorce. If the deadline to remove conditions passes then he could fall out of status, unless he can demonstrate that failing to petition to remove conditions was through no fault of his own.


Trust me, when I was preparing my divorce papers I met with 2 Immigration officers whom I know personally and they told me this, Once you are the C resident, once your divorce is final, you automatically loose your right as a resident,based on the fact that the marraige / Status was based on the Con residency through marraige this is why you can file at anytime after your divorce, trust me, you go out of status once you get divorced, even though your card is still valid. this is the way they see it,if not we will all wait until 90 days before.
I work closely with DHS guys and I can assure you this is the case, try google and see what is says about it.

Judging from your timeline, you only just got your Conditional green card 2 months ago! and you are already thinking of divorce so soon,be careful, in the eyes of Immigration, this might look and sound as fraud, I am sorry for all your streess you are going through, but think very well before you make any more moves.
You said you filed a restraing order against your husband once before, my question to you is, did u file the order,before or after your got your Green card, cos if you filed before you recieved your Conditional green card, they might have asked you why you didn't present this evidence when you where filing for adjustment ,and then after you got the card you then use it against him.
I hope you have all your thoughts together, many people get their conditions removed sucessfuolly after a divorce and yet many don't, hope you have all your cards right, I am sorry for all you are going through, but be wise, if you plan to divorce him anytime soon, you better have more than a police report to present to immigration, when you file for removals. I sent out my I-751 in October of 08, and got an RFE 3 weeks later I iled with a waiver, I was married for exactly 1 year, sent all the necessary evidence and never heard anything again from them, until February 2nd, when I was approved for my 10 year green card, without interview, got my Green card 5 days after the letter of approval, so it took me roughly 3 months from submitting the I 751 to physical greecard.

And by the way I am purely african, was married to a SOB usc, all is good now.

Rfe's depends on how your marraige ended, you have to send everything you sent from your first I 485 application up to when you got divorced,which ends with your divorce decree.

It varies for individuals, and hope that whoever your file lands in His/Her laps will be in a great mood when they handle your file.

You can check up here on the forum, most people who filed on waiver( divorce ) grounds were not called for interviews, it feels good seeing loads of people getting approved without interviews, hope you are nexxt, just pray,pray,pray, i understand how stressful it is,for me, I still cannot believe its all over ,all the sleepless nights.

My name is Erica, and I'm a new member hoping to get some feedback/similar experience stories. My story is, I was married in Mexico three years ago to a Mexican citizen. We applied for both the I-130 and K-3 in May/June 2003. My husband had his K-3 interview by October that year. He was rejected for the k-3 due to unfortunate circumstances and we were told that he would be ineligible for any and all visas for three years. When I received the approval notice for the I-130 in 2004, I called the INS 1-800 number and asked since my husband was rejected for the K-3, did that mean he was ineligible for his I-130 now even though it had been approved. They informed me that sometimes there was lack of communication between consulate and NVC, that the notice was an error, and he was in fact ineligible for all visas until the three years had passed. Since the three year mark is just months away, I returned to the US to begin the process only to be greeted with extremely unfortunate news. It appears that our I-130 was in fact approved 2 years ago, and is actually in the process of being terminated since so much time has passed. They did however inform me that as long as I wrote a letter requesting that the case be re-opened and we will have to start "all over again". NVC will not however give me a time estimate. I am completely confused, and wondering what it is exactly we have to "start over" again. As far as I'm concerned we never even "started" after the I-130 had been approved. I'm extremely confused about TIME. How long will it take to re-open the case, will the IR-1 make things any faster? If things are in our favor and go quickly and we manage to get an appt. date BEFORE the three years sentence, will they allow the interview to take place? NVC is telling me yes, and yet the consulate is telling me no. Does anyone have any idea how long any of this is going to take? Has anyone heard of anything like this happening? Any sort of feedback would be extremely helpful, because I feel more in the dark than ever, and I JUST want to finally be with my husband!!!

Today was the first time I had ever heard of CR-1 and IR-1 visas, and it sounded hopeful as far as speeding up getting my husband here since his I-130 is approved at this point. I spoke with the NVC today and I asked if I would be able to apply for the IR-1 visa now meanwhile we wait for our first packet to arrive. The woman said since we've been married for three years, that I could write a letter requesting that his condition of CR-1 be changed to IR-1. I was under the impression that this was a visa, not a condition? Please someone help... I'm dazed and confused.

hi everyone hope someone here can help me out...

last april 22 we had our interview and unfortunately my 2 year old daughter was not able to join us for the interview and my bad that i didn't just brought her along with me for her personal appearance despite of not having her medical yet due to having a shot last month and they are not allowed to get the tuberculine skin test because of the vaccine shot that was given a month ago... so now she will be having her tuberculine skin test within this week and now my question is IF SHE NEEDS TO GO BACK TO THE EMBASSY FOR HER PERSONAL APPEARANCE OR NEED NOT TO GO BACK TO THE EMBASSY.

it was an honest mistake of not listening to the consul very well coz i had a mental block after the him asking me questions... and i did not clarify him about what he said to me "ther NO NEED for you to come here with your daugther for her personal appearance or YOU NEED to come back here for your daughter's personal appearance" so now i am confused... coz when i checked out the consul only told me they only need to wait for my daughter's medical result and then we will be receiving our visa and in fact they didn't return our passport (which is a good sign).

anybody? please? help me out if you had the same experience please... need your help on what to do..

When Claudeth went through she got her packet about a month before the interview. Check the following link at the beginning of each month. You should be able to get a feel where you are by comparing the case number. MNL2006XXXXXX - The first XXX is your julian date that the NVC assigned your case plus 500 and the last XXX is the order for assignment to Manila. Example: 2006502001 would mean that it was assigned on January 2nd and was the first assignment for Manila that day. Good luck
