They pay very close attention to the chest x-ray it seems. Alan had some small scarring due to a childhood illness like brochitis or something and it showed up on the x-ray. The doctor talked to him about it and had him tick a box on a form that talked about it. Everythign went well though. Hope things go well fro your fiance too, Erin. Keep us posted. Alan finally got a call in regards to the police certificate, it's been issued (YAY!) so we can finally get moving again. KTJett - not sure about scheduling now, Alan waited until he had Packet 3 before he scheduled his but I think as long as you know what doctors it's fine. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May filers NVC to Interview	Well, now my fiance is gonna need to order a court certificate to show that the charges were dropped from the ridiculous disturbing the peace charge from 13 years ago THIS apparently is something not on the police certificate so I have been told he will need this at the interview to show what happened with the case. Another 2 week wait to get this piece of paper. I feel like the floor gave way when I heard that one, we've waited so long! Yesterday I was at the USE of Manila website. and I noticed this feature called Visa point. It is an online interview appointment scheduler. So I sign up for it thinking WOW maybe this is part of the new system with the fee increases. It costs me $10 USD non-refundable. After it takes my payment it then tells me that K-1 visas are not handled by this system and I will have to wait for the USE to schedule it. I write them another one of my famous angry letters about how it's a nice scam they have going there taking peoples money then telling them they can't help you and such, and that I would love to legally be able to run a business like that in the US. They respond the same day(which is amazing for them haha) telling me that they are sorry about my experience with the Visa Point and they will look into the matter. A few hours later I get my interview date. So is this a coincidence? Or did this interaction have anything to do with it? From what I read I shouldn't get a interview date until packet three arrives and is sent back. Not that I'm complaining hahah really. I want to give a big congrats to all those who have been approved so far. To those of you who have not try and keep your faith up. USCIS has not forgotten you. Think of it this way. We have all formed a line at the ticket booth waiting for Def leopard/White Snake tickets(since they are whats hip now right?.) HAHAHAHHA Unfortunately there wil always be someone who gets their tickets last. It's a longer and more frustrating wait for that person, but in the end everyone in that line will be jammin' to the music come nightfall. Kits_24_faith, unfortunately, you are one of the last in the line apparently, but that's it. They havnet forgotten you. It is frustrating and nothing but a NOA2 can take that frustration away from and you may have to still wait another week maybe longer if there is an RFE(not trying to further discourage only trying to be realistic), but don't lose the faith since your NOA2 is coming and sooner now than later. Your just at the back of the line thats all, there are only 38 out of 139 left in that line so your time is soon approaching, and you will be rocking out with the rest of us including you Jessel and Chris. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	APRIL Filers!!	When you guys are calling and actually getting to talk to a HUMAN what are you doing? Are you selecting the option (after you check your status via unhelpful automated message) that says that you believe you are out of the normal processing time? I'm getting really anxious and I just want to make sure that I talk to the right people since I finally have a day off during their 'open' hours for calling so that I can sit down and speak with an actual human being. This entire process is being exaccerbated by the fact that I can't really plan our wedding until I know when he will be here (at least within the month) which means I definately won't know until we get the NOA2. AND my fiance's family is egging on my anxiety by saying that we won't be approved until next year. I called and a somewhat groggy and confused gentleman told me that my case was assigned on July 19. I could burst into tears I feel SO relieved! Now I'm just wondering- for those of you who know when you cases were assigned- how long did it take to get processed between that time and your NOA2?? Such good news! Those listed were approved on 07/20 VisaJourney Timeline Search Results Search result for Visa Type : [K1], Service Center : [All], Beneficiaries Country : [All], Consulate/Embassy : [All], I129F NOA 2 After 2007-07-19, I129F NOA 2 Before 2007-07-24, Local Office : [All] 1.... Hamid & Debbie 2.... Donna & Eddie 3.... Kemerly & Scott I did the same search, but it seems like Monday's are historically pretty quiet. Even if they approve today, the time it takes to typically update the system may push back online notices 12-24 hours. Plus, many don't check online ferverntly or are not signed up for email notice like many of us, if they were approved today they might not know until mid-week when they get their snail mail notice. And you also have those that might have gotten notice in some form today but didn't immediately put it on VJ. At least that's my rationalization for not being willing to believe that CSC could even consider going into hybernation again... I've also noticed that if you sort by NOA1 date and CSC, almost everyone before 4/6 has now been approved. This is the first week I've been catiously optimistic in a while. How soon can I expect it and how soon can I expect NVC to have it? Does anyone know the approximate wait time for the name check? Just so I know how it goes next, can anyone double check this so it looks like I understand it correctly. 1.wait for NOA2 in mail 2. NOA2 goes to NVC 3. FBI name check 4. NOA2 sends petition to embassy 5. Embassy sends pack to fiance 6. Fiance gets everything and then sends it back to Embassy 7. Embassy sends letter with appointment date 8. Appointment Right? OOOO. Now what do I do? The only thing I need to do send to him is the affidavit of support right, and supporting evidence of being together? What else? California Service Center Now Issuing Delayed Form I-797 Approval Notices USCIS is pleased to announce that it has resolved the systems problems creating delays in Form I-797 notice issuance from the California Service Center (CSC) that had been previously announced to the public. CSC is in the process of generating and mailing the delayed approval notices and affected customers should expect delivery by July 20, 2007. We appreciate the patience our customers have shown during this effort. Affected customers who have not received a notice by the July 20, 2007 date (for example, if you have checked the online system and it indicates that your case was approved and you have not received an approval notice), may submit an inquiry for review to the e-mail box. And my Roommate here has his own theory, that my petitions touches are because the adjudicator needs something to read when nature calls. HMMMMM Perhaps I should have included a few Entertainment Weeklies in my petition. I always thought I should have baked some cookies into that packet.. maybe it would have enticed a little touching... either that or i would have been arrested... Oh and My date keeps getting pushed back as well on the VJ Timeline... was July 16th then Aug 7 then 14th.. now its the 20th of August... not so encouraging.. today has been a downer day anyways... These past few weeks have been dismal. HOLY ####### BATMAN!! while writing this response I checked mine and it jump from July 16th to august 11th. Almost a month. That is ridiculous. Now this is if I use the Nebraska Service Center.....Now here the odd thing. If I use the CSC one then it is July 31st. hmmmmm My timeline is suffering from border lined multiple personality / manic depressive disorder. Yeah, I'm not sure if we are supposed to be using the Nebraska Service Center with the receipt date for the I-129F on our timelines OR if we are supposed to use the California Service Center /NOA1 issue date information on our timelines instead? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	APRIL Filers!!	Another touch today. So I called again and they say my case has still not been assigned to anyone. Ya think they really know what's going on over there? haha. He tried to tell me that they are still adjudicating cases with December dates. I asked him "if thats the case then why have 80%+ of January, February, and March filers have been approved already?" He only told me that it looks like my case will be adjudicated very soon. Hmmmm who knows hahahha Wioombeen I am in the same situation, I was touched everyday last week with only 3 calls and so I called yesterday to see if something was happening. He said the updates were from my calls, so I asked why 5 updates for 3 calls? He told me it was that phonecalls registered as two touches or something of that nature. A couple hours after I called my updated date jumped to the 9th and this morning to the 10th, possibly the two touches resulting from the one phonecall? I pressed him for more info because he was a young guy I thought I could get info out of, and as he was telling me about their internal processing times and not the official ones, our phonecall was cut off. So I'm not sure what's going on, but I do know for sure that I am one day closer to adjudication than I was yesterday... mysteriously 'cut-off' eh? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	APRIL Filers!!	Another touch today. So I called again and they say my case has still not been assigned to anyone. Ya think they really know what's going on over there? haha. He tried to tell me that they are still adjudicating cases with December dates. I asked him "if thats the case then why have 80%+ of January, February, and March filers have been approved already?" He only told me that it looks like my case will be adjudicated very soon. Hmmmm who knows hahahha Wioombeen Grrrrrr! that is so frustrating. So he had no explanation as to why you were getting touches at all? wait a minute....so he went from saying that they were only working on cases from December to saying yours would be adjuncticated soon???? Don't think they know what's going on over there it's all so unbeleivable frustrating. Makes you want to them all over there... ...hang in there, I STILL beleive that you will be approved soon.
