As for the wedding, we aren't going to do anything very exciting. Likely we will be married at the courthouse as neither one of us will have family around to really celebrate the big day (his are all in Ireland, mine are in California). We may have a celebration of sorts after the marriage cerermony celebrate with loved ones at a later time. For the now though I just want to know what is happening with my petition. no new touches this morning or e mail saying RFE or Approved. but it's early yet so I will give it some more time before I start the 'every minute checks' on the old email account. And I am not ruling out the RFE trick if I start to truly go insane with the waiting game. *sigh* Do they not have ANY idea how much emotional torture they are putting us through?? I see a lot of April Filers getting approved, but yet we still have no NOA2. Just wondering if there are a lot of April Filers who have not gotten their NOA2 yet, or are we one of the lucky ones to be "stuck" in USCIS Never, Never Land..??? Frustration Mounting... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	APPROVED :)	My fiancee just called USCIS today (using the RFE trick) and found out that our case was approved, sometime between the 22nd and today because she didn't ask for the exact date. NOA2 is on the way Thanks to everyone encouraging us and I wish everyone else waiting for NOA2 a speedy approval, too! It's time for me to start gathering documents for the interview VERY COOL! But, has all of the cases been sent to california? why didnt they tell us so we could send it there in the first place? I don't know anything about that fill me in? thanks a ton Just the way it goes it seems, I asked myself that same question being so close to CA to begin with why didn't we just get to file there and save all this forwarding around? *sigh* I am sure there is a logical reason as to why it's all done this way maybe some wise visajourney sage can give us the scoop one day, eh? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	What should I do?	I sent my 129F on the 8th of may. And I noticed that most people get their first NOA within 10 days. I called USCIS and they said I should call back the 5 of June if I havent heard of anything. Should I be concerned? Should I call them again? Is this unusual? I'm just freaking out because it seems like everything I do turns astray, and I want to make sure they recieved it so I can send another if they didnt get it or whatnot. As mentioned the Fed Ex could track it if you registered it. How did you pay? If with a check, has it been cashed yet? Which office did you go through? west coast is a bit slower in there response times. I sent it through USPS, and they were rushing me out the door because it took so long to get my passport photo. I'm from washington and I sent it to Nebraska. I didn't send it ground or anything, but first class so it shouldve got there in 2-3 business days. I'm just wondering if this is normal, or a cause for concern, because im assuming like everyone else, this is seriously putting a strain on my relationship with my fiance. Edit* oh yeah, I did write a check, and it hasnt been cashed yet. otherwise I wouldnt be so worried. Hi - I'm from Washington too so that meant I had to send my I-129F to Nebraska. It was received there a few days later (I sent it return receipt requested). Upon reading various threads here I learned that my packet was likely gonna be forwarded over to the Califonria Service Center, where it did eventually get to, where it sat in a pile for nearly a month. I just got my chcek cashed a week or so ago (I was checking my bank account online at least 20 times a day) and saw on the back of the check that I had a case number, and yes I HAD been transferred to CSC just like everyone told me I would on here. Then a few days later I got my NOA1 via snail mail. I know it's difficult but I would wait another week or so before you called. Don't beat yourself up about how you mailed it and such, what's done is done, I am sure it got there ok. I would keep checking your bank statements online to see when they cash your check and also what was very helpful to me was finding 'freinds' who sent off packets around the same time I did as when one of my new friends here got her check cashed and an NOA1 in the mail, I got mine shortly after. I received two identical emails for the approval. I got a touch on Friday, so I was going to start really paying attention on Monday. But when I checked email this afternoon, there it was. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NOA1 DELAY	On April 24 we submitted all the paper work to the California Service Center, and received delivery confirmation from UPS the 27th, but 25 days have gone by since that date and we have not receive the first NOA!!! Any idea what we should do? Anybody had experience a similar situation? It's so frustrating I know! I sent my I-129F packet in April 18 and finally got my NOA1 last week ! But it's in process now and that's all that matters to me. Your I-129F will be in process soon too, have faith. It will be OK. Hang in there and keep us posted. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NO2 approved	I just got back the other day from my vacation to visit my fiancee and what a supprise for me when I was opening all my mail. I recieved a letter from USCIS saying that my petion was approved and will forward to NVC. The question I have is that what should I get expect and what should I gatther in terms of paper and documents so that it wont get deply. On the letter it show a exparation date May 30, 2007 to Sept. 30 ,2007. Thank you Ross-aiss WOW! What a welcome home present! That's FANTASTIC! I am so happy for you! Best of luck to you guys! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Still Noa2less	Do the RFE trick. Call the regular USCIS number. Key in that you recieved a RFE(even if you dont have one), you will need to enter your Reciept number so they know what Service Center to direct you to. This will connect you directly to the CSC(your service center). I was touched on May 23 and the website said still pending, the USCIS idiot insisted they were only working on Nov. 2006 petitions, so on 5/25 I did the RFE trick, was connected to CSC were a very friendly person said I was approved May 22. It totally amazes me that the CSC took 118 days to do their part and NVC took 3 days! What's wrong with that picture? Well, the Embassy should be a breeze. Good luck to everyone on here. It's been a Roller Coaster ride but we finally made it. I've learned a little more patience along the process I guess. Just don't get mad and your time will come. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	quite upsetting	Dear friends, I am new to this forum and would like to thank you for being so helpful and supporting for so many other members on the board! It's really a very nice place to meet people that are in the same process as you are. I am wondering if there are other members on the forum that are in the same situation as us. We filed our petition on May 16, California SC got it on the 18th and since then - nothing. Our cheque hasn't been cashed yet. I read many threads on NOA1's before posting mine. From what I saw most of people who waited for more than 3 weeks finally got their cheque cashed before the end of the 4th week. It's been quite frustrating as despite we know the whole thing takes a very long time, we would at least want to get our NOA 1. So are there any other couples that are in the same boat? Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! It's all very frustrating...I totally understand how you feel. It took them a month to actually cash my check which was terribly frustrating, but once I saw that they had cashed it, I could see the case number on the back of the check so I knew we were at least in the system So don't get too discouraged yet, keep the faith, things will start happening for you guys soon! I decided to check my email today after being off the computer for 2 days. My heart was pounding so fast when I saw the CRIS email in my box. I was like, oooooooooooooohhhhhh myyyy Lord! I jumped up from my chair and danced around the house! I thank God for helping me through to this point and I also thank VJ and its members for giving me the advice needed for the process of getting things together for the K1 application. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Whoa my "adjucated" date keeps moving farther away	Don't worry too much about that date - it will fluctuate on a daily basis usually, every time someone else fills in their NOA2 date on their timeline, it will change the average processing times a tiny bit... and if someone who's been waiting a really long time (or an unusually short time) updates their timeline, it can make your predicted adjudication date (and everyone else's) take a massive leap!
