the petitioner should fill out the I-864 and your father and other household members that will help you go above the poverty line should each fill out I-864-A. Good luck and God bless always.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresPolice clearance
Read the instructions carefully in the visa packet. If I can recall, one has to get a police clearance from any country he or she lived in for 6 months of more after one's 16th birthday. The NBI clearance covers all of the Philippines so one is enough. As for the police clearances it is better to be sure and get one from every city one has lived in in the Philippines. During my husband's interview last November they didn't even ask him for him police clearances. He got 4 clearances cause he lived in four places since he turned 16 years old.

Just to be sure, you can get the clearances from every place. It is better to be prepared with more documents than to be caught without them during the interview. God bless.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresCENOMAR and CEMAR or CENOMAR or CEMAR?
it is required for the interview. One gets a ceNOmar (certificate of no marriage) if you are still single. If one is married he or she must get a ceNmar (certificate of marriage). Note a Cenmar is different from the marriage certificate.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresQuestion...checklist on I-864?
my daddy was my co sponsor when I filed the I-864 for my husband. what we showed that we lived in the same residence was we both photocopied our driver's licenses because our address is stated on there. And we live in the same household. That was all we did. star_smile.gif

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Proceduresis cenmar nd marriage certifcate same at NSO??
A Cenomar/cenmar and a marriage certificate are two different things. The cenomar (certificate of no marriage) is a requirement for the US embassy visa application process. In that document it will state your name, your parents' name and ALL the marriages you have contracted in the Philippines. A ceNOmar is for single people. A cenmar (certificate of marriage) on the other hand is a similar document but is for married people. So note there is a difference between a cenmar and ceNOmar.

A marriage certificate simply states that you have married your current partner. Whereas a cenmar or ceNOmar, lists all your marriages. When you recieve the cenmar / cenomar, you will see teh difference between that document and the marriage certificate.

For women, they will use your maiden name on the cenmar / cenomar.

God bless.

try to submit everything that you can from affidavits from third parties to pictures. We had 3 RFEs for our I-130 requesting more evidence. But now everything is all good and my husband is here in the US.

we passed in a notarized affidavit from our past landlord. in our case it made a difference because the officer actually called our former landlord to confirm the affidavit. make sure to include the address, occupation, and phone number on the affidavit.

nope the I-864 doesn't need to be notarized like before. The sponsors will be signing under the penalty of perjury that is why notarization isn't required anymore. God bless. star_smile.gif

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresI-864 AND I-864A
QUOTE (kmehmood1 @ Feb 3 2009, 12:48 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
since I am still a student and currently go to college i havent started working yet.........so I dont have any income or tax returns etc...........So either my dad or my brother will be sponsering my husband...........to my understanding i still have to fill out an I-864 even if my income is zero?!?!?!??! and anyone who is sponsering besides me fills out the I-864A????? Thanks alot for your help! good.gif

i was in the same situation as you just a couple of months ago. I'm a medical student so I didn't have any income taxes ever since I was in pre-med. So My dad co-sponsored my husband. Just make sure you write a letter attached to your I-864 statting why you didn't file any tax returns. I also attached my school records and transcript to show that I have been in school and did not engage in any type of employment other than my volunteer activities.

My dad and I are in the same household so he filled up the I-864A. I filled up the I-864. Note that if you find a co-sponsor that does NOT live in your house, that person must fill out a I-864 as well.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresInterview @ Manila USEM
it is different for other embassies. some embassies don't want the beneficiary to be there nay earlier than an hour before the interview. but in Manila, it is different. The earlier, the better. Give yourself ample time to get there and settle down. probably 2 hours would do. good luck and God bless!

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresCR1/IRI... NEEDS CENOMAR- MANILA INTERVIEW
they might still ask for your CENOMAR or CENMAR during the interview. So when you are in doubt, just make sure to get it. You wouldn't want to be caught off guard during the interview by not having a document. The difference is that CENOMAR is for people who are single. CENMAR is for married couples. My husband and I just applied for our CENMARs today via the NSO hotline. We live in manila so instead of going through all the lines we just called the NSO hotline at 737-1111. They will give you instructions where and how much you have to pay. We paid 430 pesos per certification. They said it would take 10 days to deliver it directly to our house but it can be earlier though.
