So far so good.. I will keep on them and call them again today... I called this morning and no GZO number yet. But you never know until you try and try again.. They "NVC" says ok to send in I-864 Now with the GUZ Number because of their "Marriage" of GUZ & GZO Numbers... Still warry of this; if I do will I get an automated response? How will I know that "They" received my I-864 package?

I paid our IV Bill already.. out of sequence and the guy at the NVC said I need to be sure that I make sure it is applied to our case. I signed in and saw the bill and paid it.. Maybe a bit early according to the guy again at NVC, I hope it doesn't cause problems. Still Do NOT have our GZO number yet.. I called about two hours ago and said no GZO Number yet. It was approved for electronic filing just yesterday so I need to wait a day or two because they have not "assigned" the GZO number yet.. Sound about right? how long before you think I should get my GZO Number? You think I should call everyday to "bug" them about it? Or just wait? Not one to just sit and wait for these guys. I think the sooner I get the GZO number the better......

Also I was told to always submit "ALL" documents for the I-864 at one time and then when I email the DS-230 to send in all at once also.. Sound right?

You might want to copy that, put it in yer signature area here @ VJ, then put in the dates as things occur. Some of these time ticks might seem 'out of sequence', but it depends on 1--what goes on at the payment portal and 2--when the casefile is converted to GZO #

Some of these are NOT sequential, NOT serial, but occur in 'parallel' during this process.

Hey - thats great news - lots of new status whilst ye were in China. Yay !

Is possible to get a June interview date, you betcha - if no glitches at NVC. odds? better than 72 percent, and that number is straight out of my backside.

Thanks again for the all of the good information. When I have time I'll try to write up a summary. maybe it will help out other guys here. In all of the information that I've read about the "OPTIN" email. All point to sending from the wifes email but I sent it from mine with no issues. Maybe they are getting better with the process. Also, they "NVC" said I can start sending all docs with the GUZ number and that the new GZO number and the OLD GUZ number are "married" from now on. But I am concerned about the P3 supplment because it says GUZ/GZO Number.. But they said it is ok.. your take on this? Also, I know in the subject line I need to always put the case number.. what about the body of the email? always put beneficary / petitioner name and information and a brief description of what the email is about? and the Attachments? especially paystubs. Try to create one big pdf with all pay stubs or send in all individually? Just want this process stream lined.

I do hope june interview date.. worse case July.... But regardless I am travling back to be with her for the interview. paid the IV last night too.. So Now i Just wait to show "paid" then i send in the DS-230, P3 Suypplement and all other documents. What about pictures? NVC says Do not Email pdf's of photos, only for Consulate interview. What do you think?

Maybe. We had 3 China members who got massive lag about this -4 weeks delay, then wife resent it. I covered this earlier, you hemmed n hawed about it, and took yer own path. Suggest strongly SHE send the OPT IN EMAIL soonish, in the next 24 hours.

Back from Guangzhou today,, really, really sucks leaving the wife behind yet again.. Get's harder and harder every time. First thing back I called the NVC, says that our case has been converted to Electronic filing and awaiting our GZO number. Also got our IV bill today and paid it today. Going to call NVC one more time before I sleep and verify our electronic conversion and see if they can verbally give me the GZO number so tomorrow I can start to email our I-864 out. Then will wait on the NVC Site to show paid on the IV Fee, then I will send the rest of the files and then wait until we get our interview. I hope we will get a June interview date, never know. What are the odds on that one? I hope this will be the quick process. I have everything signed by the wife when I was with her in blue ink and then will scan tomorrow. A little tired from the flight, so I will continue tomorrow.

You can view/store the paid receipts, sure - but -

once the casefile is converted to a GZO #,
you have to log in to the payment portal USING the GZO #
and

the casefile numbers on the coversheet and receipts actually changes to GZO.
So - for now - wait till conversion at NVC to GZO number.

(I confirmed this with another GUZ-bound EP filer last night, actually, who just got converted this Monday)



Yes - it sounds right - I had put that in the Wiki, already ..

You've got the tools to obfuscate any personal info, so if you'd like to do that, that'd be great.
You'll also see a NEW coversheet available, after something has been marked 'paid' . Yer supposed to include that in a 'set', as well.


I'll get that up after I get back from seeing the wife,, time for sleep now. Need to work then to the airport at 1100 hrs. I'll keep checking while I'm with the wife for the other IV Bill, get that paid and then wait more. Next cash i guess is for the medicals and then tickets. Any other fees coming my way?

ya - apparently NVC decided (or had a new version of the software with the errors in it ) to 'debundle' the 'ds-3032 kit' . Prior to March, alas, that contained:

--the ds-3032 form
--the aos fee bill with IIN
--instructions for logging in to the online payment portal.

Good Luck on the trip - hopefully the AOS fee bill will come in over the weekend whilst yer in transit.

Wish i could do that.. I am a network engineer, so everything I do can be done remotely too. But for some odd reason they like to see our pretty faces :hehe: in the office.. I am going to print out the P3 and fill in where I can. Then have the wife fill in with Chinese letters - Hand written with blue ink to show "original" then bring it back and scan it in. I'll leave her a signed copy too. Only think missing now is the AOS Fee Bill and the new GZO number before I can do anything.. Now I wait.... Off to Guangzhou Tommorrow.. Only for a short trip and then I'll be headed back for the interview.. that will be a quick trip.. there for interview only then back home.. The wife said she will fly in herself.. You think she could ask to go to the US Citizen line?

Oh,,, The AOS Fee Bill WAS suppose to be sent at the Sametime as the DS-3032 "Choice of Agent" email went out.. But..... There was a "glitch" in the system and it had to be requested again to be sure it goes out.. Nice........ So I get to wait for the Bill.. Can't do much until then..

We got three RFE's for our I-130 that we filed via DCF... They wanted more and more evidence. Maybe because the Philippines is a high fraud country. But eventually we were able to submit enough evidence for our I-130 to be approved. The immigration officer reviewing our case wasn't interested in any pictures. But I don't know about others. It probably varies from consulate to consulate.

Here is what we sent in:
--Our life insurance policy together that states we are the sole beneficiary and it should say the the benefits are irrevocable.
--A joint bank account: we got a certification on the date we both opened the account and another letter stating that the account is still active. Make sure that the certification is on the bank's letterhead.
--5 affidavits of people having personal knowledge about our relationshpi before and after our marriage. (got one from the priest who married us, my OB-gyn, my best friend, our former landlord, & dentist)
--Several documents showing that I was using my married name like: my social security card, my Washington state driver's license, my school records, plane tickets, US passport, school ID, etc.
--A letter from school that I have been using my husband as my emergency contact. And a letter from my husband's former employer that I was his emergency contact
--A copy of the deed and land title for land that we acquired together as a married couple.
--The deed of sale for our car and car insurance (but the immigration officer told us that anyone can have car insurance and own a car together)
--Letters and Cards we gave to each other.

I can't remember what else we passed in though....

We also had more documents for the interview to show evidence of a bonifide marriage (pictures, phone bills, etc.).

did they change the status online when you got approved ? my i-130 has been pending for 18 months and they touched it 3 times last week !



Just checked it on-line again and it only says "last updated" but no change and NOA2. I hope we do not get stuck in some other black hole known as AP or Additional Processing / Security Checks. That could last months.........
