ChinaCanadian Transit Visa needed for Vancouver?

Not sure of the airline he's using - he's bringing his wife (PRC citizen) back - BeiJing to Vancouver - then Vancouver to USA. I know about the special UCSIS/DHS processing station there - so Vancouver will be her POE.

12. I am not going to visit Canada, but my flight stops in Canada on the way to my final destination. Do I still need a visa?

Yes. If you are transiting through Canada to another destination within 48 hours, you will require a Temporary Resident Visa known as a Transit Visa. The application process is the same as above, but there is no application fee. For countries and territories that require a transit visa .

As part of Canada's Transit without Visa program, a China Transit Trial has been put in place. This trial will allow Chinese nationals holding valid U.S.A. visas to travel to and from the U.S.A. through the Vancouver International Airport without obtaining a Canadian transit visa. To qualify, Chinese travellers must travel to Vancouver on Cathay Pacific Airways, Philippine Airlines or China Airlines and the flights must originate from Hong Kong, Manila or Taipei.

At present, there are no pre-authorized air carriers with direct, non-stop flights to the Vancouver International Airport originating from Beijing, Shanghai or Guangzhou.
from http://www.canadaint...r.aspx?lang=eng

I understand a transit visa is fee-exempt, but I wonder if any new air carriers are pre-authorized with flights from BeiJing to Vancouver ?

Appreciate any input !

Would be very interesting on how this is done. Once my wife gets the visa I have been looking for flights from Hong Kong to Seattle, but because the wife cannot transit Taipei, or Canada I am limited on Choices. Now the only way I've seen is for her to transit Japan which she can do. But no other way that I can see. I tomorrow I will call Air Canada and maybe if I can talk with someone in the Canadian Consulate who will give me more information. If I find anything of interest, I will post it.

ChinaGot interview date, now have questions about ACH

Well, finally got confirmation from DOS as well as P4 in the mail, my Meiya will be interviewing for the K1 visa on 9/29. Yes!

I intend to be there as well to support her. Now, I remember I read here somewhere about the American Citizen Hour (ACH) at GUZ consulate. But I can't seem to find any detail about this on the GUZ Consulate homepage. Does anyone know where to look there for the official info? I just want to confirm that the ACH is only held on Mondays. Also, my recollection is that it's sometime in the afternoon, 2-3pm, is that right? Do I need to make appointment in advance? Thanks a lot for the help.

No Appointment necessary for the ACH, be there around 2:00pm. They will actually start calling numbers at 2:30. I was there at 2:00pm and when I was there, there were 5 other American men there to support their wives/Fiancee's. I believe it is a good use of time, especially because the man / woman you talk to maybe the person to interview your fiancee. I told them I was there to support my wife and ask if there were any issues we should be concerned about. I was open and honest with the man. Best of luck to you and your fiancee.

ChinaGuangzhou Document Turn-In

It is good of you to help your friend.

Here is the link for the Guangzhou consulate IV units. There you can find the instructions and lists for the fiance(e) and spousal visas. A measured number of appropriate photos is a good thing, an 'outlandish amount of photos' is not necessarily a better thing.

http://guangzhou.use...rant_visas.html

I just tried it, but the server is down.

Good luck to your friend.

Took me a lot less time when I went through the Electronic Processing back in February of 2010. Now it seems a lot longer, took me about 4 week to get through NVC but now it took my friend about twice that time. I'll take a look at that site.

Thanks

ChinaGuangzhou Document Turn-In
Greetings; :D

I hope that this is the proper place, but here it goes....

I really am making this enquiry on behalf of my friend who is going through the Electronic Processing for the CR-1 Visa at the Guangzhou Consulate China. As of now he has made it through USCS and has recieved the email from the NVC stating:

"All documentation necessary to complete the National Visa Center's processing of your case has been received. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the applicant, petitioner and attorney (if applicable) will be notified."

So now for my question(s): Since I went through this process over two years ago there was no such thing as "document turn in day". We did everything on the same day. But now there is the document turn in day. I would like to clarify which documents are / will be necessary for turn in; here is my short list: {Note all of these are the Originals, no copies}

  • Marriage Certificate
  • Translations {white books they were called}
  • Police Certificate
  • Police Certificate translations
  • Divorce Documents
  • Divorce Document translations
  • DS-230 {IV Application}
  • Passport Photos
  • Medical Documents

I also am suggesting that he drag with him the outlandish amount of photos he has, snipets of phone bills, skype sessions, emails. On interview day to give his wife his passport since he will be traveling to China for the interview.

I know I am missing somethings here, so thus the reason for this post. He's hoping to get his interview date soon so I am trying to help him get all of his "ducks in a row" B-)

Thanks
Dan

ChinaBirth Certificate

I understand a "white book" but to get a white book you need an original document to get translated into the infamous "white book" but there is no originating birth certificate document.

ChinaBirth Certificate

Greetings;

Has anyone run across the issue where by your wife did not have a birth certificate? According to my wife, back in early 1970's the chinese government really did not have "birth certificates" as we have here in the US. She does not have one and her birth was basically just documented in her "hoku" (spelling)  So, how can we get or where does get any type of "birth certificate"?

Regards

Africa: Sub-SaharanUSPS nightmare
Hello,
Same thing happend to me. I sent a package with toys and sweets to Cameroon USPS. After two months I gave up. Luckily I put my wife's phone number on the package. The cameroon postal service called her and said they had recieved the package over a month ago and if she did not come and pick it up in two days they were going to send it back. I sent a seven pound package to my wife through DHL. Arrived in Nigeria on the third business day (arrived in Cameroon on the fourth business day). But it cost $180.

Africa: Sub-SaharanCameroon Embassy
Hello,
My wife's K3 visa interview at the Cameroonian embassy was on February 27th. This posting is long overdue but I was in Cameroon with no access to the internet. Arrived home a few weeks ago but we're still trying to adjust. I'll just write everything that I think will be helpful to future couples going through this particular embassy.

My wife and I arrived at the embassy about 30 minutes before they opened. They called everyone's name and let my wife and I into the area outside the embassy. Once we were sitting outside they called my wife's name to enter the embassy but refused to let me inside. So me being at the embassy did nothing. In fact, it never even came up during the interview that I was in the country.

My wife went into the embassy with a huge pile of paper for her K3 visa. The documents were seperated into three stacks; support documents, evidence, and CR1/K3 packets. Then I divided the packets into sections (such as pictures of traditional wedding, phone records, pictures of civil wedding). My wife told me that they called her to the window and quickly searched through the documents. They looked at the pictures closest. For a marriage to be legal in Cameroon you have to go through a traditional wedding (it is on the marriage certificate). They were definately searching for the pictures of our traditional wedding. She said the lady was very surprised to see so many documents of support. They asked her six questions:
1. Why are you going to America? To meet my husband.
2. Who is your husband? His name is Christopher.
3. Where did you see him? I saw him in Cameroon when he came for his research.
4. What was his research about? Anthropology.
5. Anthropology to become a what? To become an anthropologist.
6. When and where were you people married? We got married on the 3rd of June 2005 and it was at Kumbo high court.

Then they told her to give her passport and come back on Thursday. At this point I walked into the embassy to use the bathroom and she was sitting with a huge smile on her face. I knew she had got it!!! She came out and ran up to me and we just started shouting. She went back on Thursday and they gave her the passport with the visa in it.

I'm still a student so my father and mother acted as my cosponsors. So, they seemed to accept cosponsors for the K3 visa.

For anyone else going through this country I had a few problems along the way. First, no house numbers or official street names in the village my wife lived in. Looking back now I think the embassy probably understands this problem. Try to list a P.O. box of someone for the mail and then put a physical address the best you can. For us, the road is not officially named but people know it as the road to Shisong hospital. We just put Road to the hospital. Then her quarter has an official name but she does not have a house number. We just counted the houses before hers and put the number down. It became compound #4.

After we recieved the visa we flew about four days later. Since we have been back it has been quite an adjustment for her. She hates American food and will only eat plantains, coco yams, fu fu, fish, and certain cuts of meat. It is very funny since she was so excited to be eating American food. Luckily we have quite a few west African markets in Seattle so she won't go hungry. She has two cousins in Seattle and so many friends which has helped her so much. Still, it has been difficult for her to adjust to people not stopping by every five minutes (it is very boring for her at times). But everything so far has been going great.

So that's about it. Thanks everyone for all the help along the way. I know we still have so much to complete.

The California Service Center finally reviewed my I-130 application on december 7th. They sent me a I-797E on 12/13 requesting a copy and certified translation of my birth certificate. I sent it on 12/14.
Why would they ask for my birth certificate?, Was I suppose to send it with my I-130 application?, and would this delay my case significantly or is it just normal procedure?

Thanks!

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresShould I wait for I-130 before applying for k-3?

Justo,

Can you explain to me what it is that you would hope to accomplish by submitting an I-129f petition for your wife come January?

Or are you thinking that you should submit an I-129f because all the other lemmings seem to be doing it?

Yodrak

Due to reasons beyond my will, I haven't been able to send the I-129F application. The California Service Center should review a RFE on my I-130 within the next week. Other than that, it seems the process is going just normal. That being, I would probably get an approval within the next two months. I'm definitely not sending the I-129F application until the first week of 2007, or at least that's my plan. If I do, I would get an approval approximately by the end of March or beginning of April, in a best case scenario.
So, at this point, should you suggest me to abandon the K-3 at all and wait for the I-130 approval and pursuit K-1/CR 1?

Thanks all!

-Justo.

Well, that's sort of my little dilemma. I just want to play it safe, but after readings some of the repplies here, I most probably just sit tight, hope and wait for I-130 to be approved. No point for K-3 after three months of I-130 NOA 1.

The Consulate in Managua, Nicaragua has already received our case and should be sending the instructions packet soon. In the meantime, I need advise on my I-864 which I have sent to NVC. As a CR 1 applicant, will the Consulate ask me to submit I-134?. As I understand, I-134 is required for all K visa applicants while I-864 is for IR 1/CR 1 seekers.
Could anyone clear this out for me, please...

Thanks,

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionWife at the Managua Consulate Yesterday. Picked up Instruction Packet
My wife picked up her Instruction Packet yesterday at the Managua Consulate. Apparently, there are problems with the Nicaraguan Mail Service (Correos de Nicaragua). Our case was received on March 28th and they sent the packet on April 3rd. We wanted to wait until the end of this week for the packet to arrive at first, since Holy Week usually delays everything in Nicaragua. But after my wife ran into a friend whose one of her parents went thru a IR 1 process recently, she went to the Embassy to get the Instrucctions herself. According to my wife´s friend, her father waited about 3 weeks for the delivery of the Packet. He contacted the Consulate and was told to come in and pick up the paperwork instead. They were never delivered actually. And this is in Managua. So, if anyone has a beneficiary living or with an address other than Managua, don´t wait for the Instructions Packet to arrive. After finding out that the case has been received by the Consulate, pick them up as soon as possible. The staff at the Consulate are aware of the innefective service by Correos de Nicaragua, they even suggest the beneficiaries to pick the paperwork. They are open from 7:30 am - 11:00 am, Monday - Friday, except Thursdays.
When our case was received by the Consulate I contact them via e-mail and was told that if my wife wanted she could pick the instructions packet.

Write to Blanca R Perez at PerezBR@state.gov as soon as they get your case. Use always your case number when contacting them.

According to my wife, everything went fine and smooth yesterday. After passing all Security Checks, she was directed to a room where they deal with Inmigrant Visas and other Consular Issues. She waited for about half an hour since there were others beneficiaries and couples waiting for interviews or to inquire on their cases.
Blanca Perez was very helpful, my wife says, she went thru the checklist and highligted everything my wife needs to gather before the interview.
After she gets all the required documents and the medical exams, she needs to fax the checklist page to the consulate. Consulate then sends a notification by mail, (Correos de Nicaragua) with the date of the interview.

BUT DON´T LET THE CONSULATE SEND THIS NOTICE BY MAIL. MY WIFE WAS ADVICED TO ASK THE CONSULATE TO CONTACT HER BY TELEPHONE ABOUT THE INTERVIEW DATE. LET THEM KNOW BY FAX OR BY CALLIN THEM.

AND THIS IS THE BEST PART PEOPLE, ACCORDING TO BLANCA, THE INTERVIEW DATE IS GIVEN IN 8 DAYS.
THIS IS GREAT FOR US, BECAUSE MY WIFE HAS TOLD ME SHE CAN GATHER EVERYTHING BY NEXT FRIDAY. SO WE ARE TALKING ABOUT AN INTERVIEW DATE MORE OR LESS AT THE END OF APRIL OR THE FIRST WEEK OF MAY. AMAZING! THIS HAS OVERTAKEN ME ALREADY. DIDN´T EXPECT TO HAPPEN THIS SOON.

-Justo.

PS: For those doing CR 1 or IR 1 Visas, you do not need to submit any additional info regarding the Affidavit of Support 1-864. This has already been processed and accepted at NVC, so the Consulate will not deal with it, unless is a K Visa at issue.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionManagua Embassy

My fiance is still waiting for packet 3 but I would like to tell him the things that he needs to get together for the interview...Anybody who has gone through the process or already has packet 3 from the embassy in Managua Nicaragua can you help me out here. I have checked the embassy website and can't find anything.

Thanks for any help!

Blessings,
Elizabeth

Have your fiance pick up packet 3 at the consular section of the embassy himself. The embassy strongly suggest this since the Nicaraguan Postal Service is S L O W or rather inefficient. My wife did this and we saved two weeks. She received packet 3 almost 3 weeks after the consulate sent it. I have a copy of the check list of the documents my wife had to gather befor the interview. I tried to attach a file here, but something is wrong with my computer. If you give me your e-mail on a PM I will gladly send those copies to you. In the meantime, let me tell your fiance needs to do after getting packet 3:

1. Call a doctor from the list to set up the appoinment for the examinations. The results are given back around 3 hours after. They will charge about $200 approximately.
2. Two passports style photos.
3. Birth certificate from the Registro Nacional. In my case they asked for my Birth Certificate too. I don´t know if they require the petioner´s birth certificate on K Visas.
4. Police Records are also given at the Registro Nacional.
5. Passport with an expiration date of at least six months.

After getting all this, your fiance has to send a fax to the consulate letting them know you have all documents on hand. Next, Consulate will contact the beneficiary with the interview date and time. They call cell phones, so if this is more convienent for your fiance, give them a cell phone number. Make sure you give them an address in Managua too, where they will send the passport back with the Visa. There´s a $5.50 fee for this.

If any doubt, contact Blanca Perez by e-mail, ManaguaConsularIV@state.gov or PerezBR@state.gov she is a Consular Officer. She had been very helpful in my case, and when my wife picked up packet 3, she took the time to walk her thru the check list and all other details. I am not sure if she oversees K visas cases, but I´m sure she will refer to the appropiate officer.

I hope this information will help you. If anything, just write me.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionVISA APPROVED
Wife was so paranoid last night about the interview, I spent half hour on the phone trying to calm her down, and asking her to get a good sleep. She was stressing out too much. I guess, after a year being apart, this whole process has taken a lot from us. Well, this morning, around 9 am, we seemed to recover much of it.
In less than an hour my wife got her visa approved. Everything went smooth and easy. After some officer took the required documents, she was told to take a seat and waited for about half an hour. Then she was taken to the Consul, she had my wife answer 4 questions, and 5 minutes later she was congratulated and given instructions for picking up her passport with the visa and the ¨brown envelope¨ at the Nicaraguan Post Office, six days from today. Wife called inmediately after getting out from the Embassy.

These were the questions:

1. Where does your husband lives?
2. What does he do for a living?
3. When did you get married?
4. Who prepared all these documents for you?.

Consul was impressed about the file folder and binder I organized for my wife. She said that usually, lawyers are the one who prepares this.

I will post a Consulate review later.

Thanks to all for your best wishes and for having me here since November. It´s been quite a ride, with its highs and lows. VJ was extremely helpful and I hope to use my experience here to help others.

National Visa Center (Dept of State)Barcodes using IDAUTOMATION.COM

Has anyone noticed that using IDAUTOMATION.COM for barcodes now generates a note at the bottom saying "Powered by idautomation.com". This appears to be new. Does anyone know the workaround to avoid this? Am I doing something wrong with the options?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, I had the same problem when I generated mine a few days ago. After I pasted the barcode, I selected "crop" from the picture menu and removed the note at the bottom- I dont think it changed the barcode at all.

Hi Ladies!

"Jealous of Paul" list??? now what's that all about? :P

I tell you, one thing I don't think anyone should be jealous of is the weather here! HOT HOT HOT, and it's gonna get HOTTER!!! B) B) B)

and OMG the restaurant I work at didn't have the air con switched on!!! last night was bad enough, but this weekend the temps in Sacramento are gonna hit 114 F!!! help me! I swear I can't deal with this heat! :D

I'm just a typical English guy, used to the typical English weather: overcast and cool!

anyway enough of that.

Hey Tiff, when are you planning on putting the wedding back to? It's just Courtney commented that maybe to be safe it would be sensible to put it back a little further? I guess only you know's how much you have left to do... but I guess even if Cas was approved by next week, it'll probably take another 2 weeks before he could fly over, what with waiting for the letter and then the 10-15 days that go by waiting for the passport to come back from the embassy....basically we're just thinking that you don't want to be stressing about all the wedding things and maybe it would be better for both of you if you gave it a few more weeks before the wedding..... just a little bit of helpful advice.... hope you don't mind :P

well hope everyone's having a good day, I'm gonna go sit in the fridge!!!

Well spotted beetee!!

I've got everything crossed here for Tiff!!! Come on London, we're just aching to hear that magical "approved"!!! :D

I hope everyone's ok, I've been checking in on the forum and things sound pretty quiet, but I guess that's hardly surprising considering that everyone's waiting....

Well one week in for me and today I start a job waiting tables at a local restaurant. You can earn some good money with tips, and I'm working just across the road from my sweetie, so things are going really well here.

The temps have also cooled down to daytime highs of only 33 deg cel, brrrrrrrrrr  where's my coat??!

still that 3 deg makes a heck of a difference, I'm gradually getting used to the heat!

ok guys hope everyone is well, it would be lovely to hear from Tiff on here??

poor thing is probably biting here fingers down to the bone with worry, I know I was a that time.

Hey Vicky,

Yeah it's bloody hot here too!!! I was just driving back from dropping Courtney off at work and I went past the bank that has that temp gauge on it..... 96 F!!!!! that's freakin 36 deg celcius!!

I'm melting out here I tell you!! :D The steering wheel of the car was so hot to touch I thought I would need oven gloves to drive.... :P

I'm not doing too bad out here with the driving but I think I'll let Courtney guide me for a while longer, nearly had a little collision on the freeway before!!! :o , but I'm getting the hang of things!

Hay Beetee,

I don't mind the questions!

as it turns out a valid UK drivers licence if fine to drive in CA... and from what I've heard from other threads it seems there's no point in applying for a CA licence until you get your temp EAD card (when applying for AOS), because most DMV's won't issue you with one until you have one of these documents to prove your legally appying for perminent residency.

but hey it's no big deal here, I can still drive legally and that's all that matters.

SSN's next and with that I think you can open a bank account etc.

Beetee,

The POE thing is painless really! The POE officer just opens your envelope, stamps a few things and then takes it (with you) to a side office.

Here (well in JFK) there are a few happy happy immigration officers, sorry being sarcastic there! :P

anyway there were about 4-5 people in front of me, and then an officer finally gets to your document. They fiddle on their computer and then call your name and hand back your passport, if you're lucky they may well wish you "welcome to America", in reality they're grumpy and may ask you when you intend to get married, which is what happened to me.

and then you're on your way!

really all very painless!

yeah next step is get my SSN, then apply for a CA drivers license, get married and then start the whole AOS journey!

it never stops does it! :P

Nine months Tiff??!! wow you and Cas deserve a medal for that.

I REALLY hope you hear something soon, this whole thing must be terrible for you. Courtney and myself are praying and hoping that you don't have to go through this waiting for much longer. We check that pdf doc nearly every day just wanting to see complete next to your number!

hang in there!

hope everyone is well on the forum!

Thankyou all so much for your congrats!!!

yeah Tiff it isn't cheap is it??? The cheapest flight I EVER got to SF was £280 return from London!!! (a pretty good deal eh?), but I'm paying £440 this time to go via JFK, which is not bad considering the time of year: peak season!

add on to that HEALTH INSURANCE for 6 months!!! my god how expensive is that??? :D but essential!

and then I'll have to start paying for the AOS stuff, which is gonna be something around $500!!!

anyone know a bank I can rob!!!???

maybe one day I'll be free of debt, still I couldn't be happier today.... and it's great to share this news with the people that have been with me in this "struggle" over the last 4 months or so!!

it really means a lot!

Thanks for that Vicky!!

have booked a flight: NEXT TUESDAY!! it goes via JFK, which hopefully means that I'll pick up my temp EAD.

I'm not sure if you can get a relative to sign for it, I think that would be ok, just as long as someone is there!

don't worry Vicky, I'll still be popping in to the forum even when you get approved!! although I guess my new "home" will be the AOS forum as from next week!!

and on to the next struggle!! :P

Hi Vicky, Beetee and Tiff,

I share your frustration in these difficult times, it really does take so much energy out of you but try and keep sane! If at least for your fiance's!!! :D

I can't beleive why you are still at pending Tiff, they must be looking at your case by now, surely? and when all of you go to completed, you will be sooo euphoric, beleive me it is such a great moment, the feeling of knowing that you can get on with your wedding and the thought that they WILL be with you, in your arms very soon........ I can't explain it, it's the best feeling. You will all be there very soon......

and now to my news...........

THE VISA WAS DELIVERED TODAY!!!!......... :joy: OMG I AM SO HAPPY!

Trust me Tiff, Vicky and Beetee every bit of frustration, every bad dark day is worth it when you (or your fiance's) have these things in your hand!!! It's so emotional!!

It really is the "OFFICIAL SEAL OF APPROVAL"!!! ...... your green light.....

Can I just say to the people who's fiance's are in the UK, and will wait for the passport and envelope to be sent back via SMS courier services, that they ARE SUPPOSED TO INFORM YOU WHEN THEY DELIVER, at least that is what the lady told me, she said they would text me or call and let me know in advance. Well THEY DIDN'T!!, and so I now know how frustrated Rob felt when they just turned up at his door first time, without telling him. I was lucky as I quit my job and could wait around at home, but unless you want to pay very high prices for it to be delivered in the evening.....then it's total luck whether you'll be in or not, especially if you have to take time off from work. Just thought it would help telling you this, it took nine days in total for me.

OMG THE RELIEF!!! :D

and now to booking flights I go!!! and await the beautiful B) of CA, USA and of course my baby!!

and listen everyone, I'll be checking in here daily, because I want to be there to give you my YAHOOOO'SS!!! when you get your approves!!! and I'm saving a big one for Tiff and Cas, she deserves it!!

take care guys, you're all total :star: 's in my eyes!!! and I'm with you the rest of your journey

Hi everyone,

nice to get back to this forum and have a chat with my old friends, isn't that strange??? we've only spoken on hear for a few months and already it seems like we've been through a war together! :D

I've been trying to help out nathmc31 and give hime some advice (Vicky has too).

and to answer your questions about the visa....................... no it hasn't arrived yet :(

but I guess I would be asking a lot at this point. The courier service told me the embassy tells them 10-15 days, and the only example I have of someone in here is Rob's and they first delivered it to his door after 11 days, so as it's only been 7 days I have a few more days to wait :clock:

it's good to hear that everyone is in high spirits still, I can't understand what is taking so long with yours Tiff, but it certainly won't be anything you need to worry about. Maybe the fbi check took longer to come back?

I getting very very excited here though, I've been chatting with Court about the wedding every day, it's gonna be a hot one in California in July!!! B) God I'm gonna melt!!! and in a TUX!!! however we are having it at 6 in the evening so hopefully it shouldn't eb too bad.... I just gotta think of some way of keeping those dam mosquitoes away from me!!!!! :P

ok guys speak soon

Beetee,

Just to put your mind at rest.... the embassy got in touch with us via letter (like Vicky said) and so if they really needed to get in touch with you about something urgent then they would have wrote to you. They e-mailed Tiff and Cas about the same thing.

To this day I don't know why they asked for two more G-325a forms!!! They already had four of them in the original I-129F application, they could have easily trust transferred this on to a new form, in fact that's what the guy in the London USCIS office said to Cas on the phone!!

As Vicky said, hang in there!!!!

It's a stressful experience with all of this waiting, but you just have to "bite the bullet" and take each day as it comes.

and don't forget we are all here for you :star:

Afternoon everyone!!!

Thanks so much for the lovely comments!! I'm still walking on air here! :P

well the passport and the blue refusal form is gonna be collected by that courier service tomorrow for a small fee of £19 (ouch!).

Hey Beetee, just to let you know our waiver was received by the USCIS office on March the 7th, Tiff's was received the day before. I think there may have been some confusion as we both filed much earlier (in February) but due to the lack of info given to us in London, we had to complete some more forms and submit two seperate hardship forms and therefore this all took another month or so for whole thing to get to the USCIS office.

I still haven't booked my flight yet, but after talking with my sweetheart last night I hope to get there 12/13th of June???!! Courtney wanted me to be there earlier, but I've just been told by the courier service that the Embassy states that it takes 10-15 days for the passport to be returned...... :(

as usual London still makes you wait!

have a great day you guys B)

Will do Beetee,

as soon as I hear something!! I'm trying everything to get some news from them but they're keeping tight-lipped about the whole thing. I've e-mailed the london consular address (no answer of course!) and just got off the phone from them, but of course they can't tell me anything except..... you'll just have to wait!

now where have I heard that from before?? :D

anyway guys, you all have a good weekend! Sorry to hear you're sounding a little low Beetee, but soon it'll be your turn, and don't forget how quickly the foreign embassy ones get done!

speak to you all on Monday!
