Philippines	Medical Appointment and USEM Packet 4 Letter	hi. my hubby didn't wait for his letter from the USE manila and plus he never got it. now he is in seattle here with me. when i talked to grace from the immigrant section US embassy manila, she told me to print out the appointment letter sent by the NVC to my email and that is what my hubby should bring with him to the medical appointment. but to be sure, you can just wait for the letter from the USEM. May 08 2008 – Filed an I-130 through DCF at the USE manila May 09 2008 – NOA-1 May 12 2008 – RFE for I-130 (needed more evidence of an ongoing marital relationship) Jul 12 2008 – RFE again for I-130 (This time we were asked to both come down to the embassy and they explained that since we’re a young couple they wanted to see if we were really real.) July 26 2008 – Handed in additional evidence at USE manila of marriage (Unfortunately, the immigration officer who was handling our case had to leave for Japan for a two months so we had to wait. But she was really helpful.) Oct 07 2008 – I-130 approved and forwarded to the immigrant visa section USE manila Oct 23 2008 – Packet 3 received – started fixing all required documents Oct 29 2008 – Applied for the Cenmar, paid document verification fee Oct 30 2008 – Sent out packet 3 via DHL Nov 3 2008 - USE manila approves case to be eligible for interview; interview is scheduled Nov 06 2008 – First day of medical exam Nov 07 2008 – Second day of medical exam – PASSED! ? Cenmar was delivered to our house Nov 24 2008 – Interview at USE manila - VISA APPROVED!!!!!!! The cenomar (certificate of no marriage) is a requirement for the US embassy visa application process. In that document it will state your name, your parents' name and ALL the marriages you have contracted in the Philippines. A ceNOmar is for single people. A cenmar (certificate of marriage) on the other hand is a similar document but is for married people. So note there is a difference between a cenmar and ceNOmar. A marriage certificate simply states that you have married your current partner. Whereas a cenmar or ceNOmar, lists all your marriages. When you recieve the cenmar / cenomar, you will see teh difference between that document and the marriage certificate. For women, they will use your maiden name on the cenmar / cenomar.
