See when we first got the number, Steven said that the 6 looked like an 8 . changing that 6 at the beginning to an 08 does bring up an I-129F processing at Vermont around the week of them receiving ours and cashing our Cheque. I was wondering when you guys check your status online, when it says "we received this on..blah blah" is the date the day they cashed the cheque? . I was just wondering if there is any sort of pre determined number allocation, I know the chances of figuring it out are probably a million to one, but I am curious . As a couple people may know, the number from our cashed cheque isnt fully legible. but we could make some numbers out. I have read a couple of embassy reviews as I will be going threw the London Consulate, have a look at the ones on the site, one is very thorough and will be very helpful to you. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	November Filers	I think it is just playing the waiting Game, but if you think it will ease your mind , call them, they arent going to bite your head off you may be lucky and get a helpful person, or you may get an #######, but they may be able to tell you whats going on, or they may just say "be patient" ! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Cheque cashed, but no NOA1	we to this day havent recieved our NOA1 hard copy, we filed early april, we called and asked if they could give us our number (as we couldnt see it from the cheque) and they gave it to my Fiance over the phone, we called again after 70 days and they said the NOA1 was sent on the 7th of April but it was returned to them, the guy said he would print and send us another copy and eh... still waiting. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Still no first NOA??	The NOA1 isnt important, it is the cashing of the cheque. We waited a month, our cheque wasnt cashed so we resent, that first package never made it. The second package, our NOA1 got lost, we called and they told us we ARE in the system, and we knew the cheque was cashed, and we got a new NOA1 sent out and we got our number over the phone. Kell I noticed you have confirmation that your filed got to CSC, You should be absolutely fine, but call after 30 days if you havent recieved your NOA1, Peace of mind is worth a HELL of a lot!. Personally in a week or 2 I would call back (unless you already have of course) to see if your in the system, if you are they will give you your Reference Number over the phone, trust me it saves a lot of heartache, it took 2 months for our NOA1 to find us!. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Finally Getting Somewhere ....	Hi All I had a good day today - very productive!! I got my form filled in for my DIY divorce and will pick up the certified copy of my marriage certificate and birth certificates tomorrow. I need to get the whole divorce application notarised on the morning of 23rd July and then I can go straight to the Sherriff Court and file the papers!!! Wooooooo Hoooooooooo!!! In a matter of a couple of months, two long years of waiting will soon be over ... Hey, I know I'm still a bit premature with the whole divorce thing, because it's still a few weeks away yet. BUT I WANT TO BE READY!!!! The physical act of putting things together, filling out the forms long before they need to be filled out - it just makes it all seem so REAL!! I'm getting good at forward planning lol - I have lots of the contents of the I-129F organised already - I have more time than my fiance does, so it makes sense that I do as much as I can here and then just add his stuff ... For me, two years was a long time to wait .. but I know that some people are worse off than us. I can't say that the last two years have been hell, because they haven't - we have been lucky enough that we've been able to spend a lot of time together. That is SUCH a good feeling, but it just makes the time apart seem twice as bad ... does that make sense? During my three month visit, I got so used to burning dinner for him coming home, doing housework, laundry, shopping .. it was like we were married already . Now I'm back home, I've come crashing down to earth with a big bump!! I've started gathering the forms and evidence for the I-129F petition too .... OMG, it's amazing how much stuff we have accumulated .. I'm having a hard time choosing what to put in the envelope as proof of us having met. I want to have all MY side of the I-129F organised for going to the USA at the end of July - that way, I can spend part of my visit helping my SO get his stuff in order! Sorry for blathering on folks ... I'm just on such a high at the moment ... I am finally being able to DO something instead of just dreaming about it .. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Update	Hi Everyone First of all, I would like to send my congrats to Kim and Russ - finally on the home stretch!! I haven't posted much since I got home from Iowa, I have been so depressed and unhappy being away from Steve. That, coupled with the fact that my ex has been doing everything in his power to avoid signing the divorce papers, have made this a miserable time for Steve and I. In the end, I had to employ Sherrif Officers here in Scotland to actually SERVE the papers on him. It took them over six weeks of trying, but they finally tracked him down .. I wanted to employ them from the start, but "there are procedures that need to be followed" .. or so the powers that be kept telling me. My son gave me the good news after a phone call from his Dad - oh, I forgot to mention that after he told my son to tell me that he had signed the papers, my ex wished me the worse life possible - kinda shows you the mentality I've been dealing with ... So today .. after more than a two year wait and all the extra delay caused by my ex being an idiot, he finally signed the papers. In six weeks, or thereabouts, I will finally be single and Steve and I can send off the I-129F. OMG, how good does that sound?? The completed petition is sitting with Steve in Iowa, waiting patiently for me to sent a copy of my divorce decree (overnight Fedex .. I don't care what it costs .. I just want it there quickly!) Once it's on it's way, I know I will feel much better. I am almost finished my college course and have started looking for work. I went for an interview today for an evening job to keep me busy until I get my diploma. If I get it this job, I will keep it on, even though I will hopefully have a day job too - anything to keep busy and keep my mind sane. You know, it makes me so happy that you all are almost at the end of your journey - well the K1 part of it anyway. I am so happy for you all moving to the USA. It gives me hope, after reading of all the problems and the pitfalls, that I too will be on my way there someday soon. I also appreciate the warm welcome which you all gave me. Thanks again to Nich for giving me the "heads up" on this place! It's 1.39am here, so I guess I should head for bed. I have a feeling that I will finally manage to have a peaceful night's sleep tonight! No more nightmares of my ex tearing up the papers in front of me or me chasing him into the sunset ....
