Ahh that's what I must have been thinking of... wink.gif Well I'm all for two bottles of red!!! Anyone else want to join in or is it just Debz and I that are sat at home on a Friday night in front of a computer?!

lol...i think it's just us. Nick doesn't like wine so he's joining with a some vodka and mixers. Califorian zinfandel is my second favourite wine...my fave is cairn mhor blackberry wine made here in scotland. I'm wanting to ship a crate of their sparkling strawberry and elderflower wine for my reception toast instead of champagne...I hate champagne.

what is with this...is there like 2 part-timers working on K1's. Surely they must be able to roll them out faster than this. They've done it before! The key......MORE STAFF, fund them with the extra fees and don't use the money to line the top cats pockets (as we all know this is where most government money goes anyway). We are all paying "customers" thats their own term....so much for customer satisfaction, pity we have no choice and can't take our custom elsewhere!

At the end of the day a wee bit of hope and a wee bit of optimisim can go a long way to make life in general more bearable. I'm all for being realistic but if I always looks on the lower side of life with out a glimmer of hope brought by a pinch of optimism...well I'd never smile, hey I know I'll never find £1m just lying around but it's nice to hope. biggrin.gif I am realistic in my thoughts that I'll probably get approval in Decemeber but I'm optimistic that I MAY get it in november. That wee bit of hope makes the wait seem not so bad. Time passes quicker when you can say...maybe next month, maybe next month....than when you just say, maybe in 2-3months! We are all in the same boat and I think we all deal with the highs, lows and stresses in different ways.

Bill....you are certainly not a "bad guy" just the one that keeps us all with our feet on the floor.

I've got my money on 32 biggrin.gif

any other punters out there who want to have a go?

wow, FIVE approvals down so far for the 24th, peoples! thinsgs are moving at California!

*does restrained little desk dance*

of course, the shortest NOA1 - NOA2 gap of the five was 133 days, so the averages aren't dropping massively yet, but isn't it nice to know things are still happening there, after the flood *ahem wink.gif * of approvals last week! and if we take someone's speculation of the VJ numbers being roughly 10% of the whole, that's FIFTY approvals on the 24th wink.gif

(yes, I know that's wild speculation, but let's be happy, huh? heaven knows we've been annoyed and sad for long enough wink.gif )

just think if they could manage 5 VJ approvals a day thats 25 a week (mon-fri) or 100 a month......things would be back on track in no time!.....ahhhh it's nice to dream!

We all need to be patient but even in the strongest willed person, patience only get you so far. We are all human, we all feel. We are all in this wait together and I know I don't just speak for myself when I say this forum does make it easier knowing we not in this alone and there are others who understand the shear frustration of having your future on hold whilst it sits in a pile in an office.

Thank you to everyone here for your ongoing support. We've had many laughs so far!

Pour heather cream over ice, take handful of oreos, run bath, sit back and imagine when this is all over and I'm sitting on my last flight (can't wait til that over, intense fear of flying not good in transatlantic relationship) about to embark on the begining of the rest of my life....I'm off to dream...hopefully something CSC is NOT doing and rattling out those NOA2's instead!! If they keep this up I might start a CSC cheerleading squad....instead for now I leave you with a prayer... (to lords prayer)

Our I-129f, who art in CSC,
speedy approval be our aim.
Thy processing come,
please no RFE to be done,
thru NVC and straight to embassy,
give us this day our interview dates
and forgive our bulging reference files
as we forgive you for requesting so much
and lead us to our visas
to deliver us to our loved ones
For you have our lives on your desk
The power and approval stamp
We are pleading and begging,
AMEN

ok this is what I don't get.....it apparently takes 15mins to process a non complicated application but so far it has taken nearly 2 months to process may and they still no where near finished. I am a july filer so am I to believe that if they finish may this month and start june, then take 2 months again it could be Dec or Jan (I'm sure as government workers they have generous time off during holidays) before I get approval...possibly later. It is getting ridiculous, add on embassy stage and it's heading toward a 9-12month process. In my mind the k1 processing dept is a wee room where people go missing for weeks in the mountains of paperwork......."Helen I've not seen you for weeks, have you been on vacation"....."no I was sent to get a hole punch from the k1 room, just got out!"

it doesn't take a business genius to know that overloaded workforce = need for more people.
The sad thing is to the people at CSC we are all just numbers and an inconvience between coffee break and lunch. I say seperate the managers at CSC from their loved ones and tell them that visajourney forum will process their application for return at the same speed as they process ours.....that'll speed them up!!!!

oh, that's wonderful for you... I'm so glad you've been able to be together smile.gif

did he resign his job, to be able to do that?

he'd just finished studying. Or biggest headache because of this however is that i'm needing a co-sponsor and Nick has never filed taxes as never earned enough in his summer jobs and weekend jobs. He's intending on getting the first crappy job that he can when he goes back just to show willingness to work and will continue hunting for something else. Hopefully Nick's letter that he's getting notarised along with his copy of I-134 explaining why he's never filed will be enough to satisfy embassy. We will have all relevant documents for Co-sponsor....trust me, this is a HUGE cause of concern for us as it's really the only hurdle we can see, albeit a biggy.

I know I'm lucky...Nick has been able to come to Scotland on 6 month tourist visa.....means we living off one income but it's worth it. He goes back to US on 6th dec...hopefully I will follow in March, visa dependant.

I'm 99% sure that the 'person from late June' is darkhorse, who has elsewhere explained that he originally filed in March, and due to a USCIS error the processing didn't go ahead... he filed for expediting based on their error - one of the few criteria which they allow - and it was granted... not at all unfair, I'm sure you agree; if I found in early October after filing in July that I had to start again because of THEIR stuff-up I'd hardly be waiting patiently in a new line either wink.gif

I'm not exactly waiting "patiently" but waiting all the same......it's just so disheartening when you remember when you estimated date was exactly a month earlier than it is now. crying.gif ach...we'll all make it in the end, this is just one of lifes rotten tomatoes that it occasionally tosses at us. We just hoping and praying I can get there for my b'day on 27th jan.....what do you think my chances are?????

our biggest hurdle is going to be the support stuff. My fiance (USC) has never filed taxes as never earned enough so we hoping to show this by using his parent tax returns listing him as dependant when he fills out I-134. We have a co-sponsor lined up and my fiance will be getting a job when he goes back to the US from Scotland begining of december. I know how lucky we are to be together thru most of this! Also lucky as london embassy will consider my savings of around $7000-8000 towards support too.

good luck to everyone on their journey. Just please let me get there for my birthday!!!!

Would love to be over there for my birthday on Jan 27th.....what do you think of my chances??? Nick here with me until Dec 6th then he needs to go back to US as only here on tourist visa.

Good luck to all my fellow June filers!!!!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reportsplease help me understand what is happening
Well say they get 6000 K1 Visas in the month of May, those are split up between Adjudicators, as they are going threw those they get 6000 June filers added, like RonnieKris said some DO work faster than others, even taking a pile home over the weekend it isn't like one guy will finish all of his May filers and stop processing until every other Adjudicator has processed their May's, he will move onto his Junes.

Keep your eye on your Petition, it can be very disheartening to see the same sentence on the USCIS website everytime you check but it IS coming soon, a friend of mine on this site (also a May filer) just recieved her NOA2 this week, so they are still working on May petitions. Keep positive Hon .

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reportswhen will we be approved
The thing about the Visa process is one day you can be the most positive person in the world, the next you can feel completely down and unmotivated, No one feels positive 100% of the time, look at Sara, she has been to hell and back, then to hell again yet she still finds the time to offer unconditional support to other people without making comments regarding there lack of patience. (Hugs for you Sara) I spent about a year in the whole Visa process, 4 years waiting to be with my man.

To the OP, stay positive Processing slows down this time of year but your NOA2 will come... try not to make it the center of your universe, it came up alot in my relationship, a couple of 'disagreements' here and there, but in the end without each other we both would never have survived the process, spend time with friends and family to.

Goodluck! smile.gif

Have you tried calling DOS? (The USC) and seeing if they can help at all? or atleast give you more information on where your case is right now, physically. DOS know everything the Embassy do and most people say they are better than calling the embassy.

"this is not an overnight process" <-- that is incredibly insulting for them to say that to you.

Keep us updated with what goes on Hon, hopefully they have already sent it out and the french Consulate is efficient!

Still having paperwork issues with the London Embassy, sad.gif its so depressing this close to getting it and they wont let it go through yet - I sent them BOTH of the affadavits that my future father in law sent me (apparently the one I brought in with me was a copy), and I got a letter yesterday saying the one I mailed in is a copy!!! Cant exactly argue with them and perhaps my father in law got muddled up, but it means I have to get him to do it again and fedex it ASAP to the embassy!! Its so annoying, especially when everyone else is celebrating, and I was soooo looking forward to getting my visa in the mail this week!!

Gaura, I'm so sorry you have to go threw the pain of more paperwork TWO times over!, but third time lucky right? The good thing is London will probably send your Visa out the day they recieve you Affadivit, so it shouldnt be to far off, keep us updated!. Question: Nico received his visa stamp in his passport but in the annotations it doesn’t say anything about who petition him or anything like that. There is nothing written in annotation. I have done some research and see that usually the ones with K1 Visa have written in the annotation the petitioner fiancé’s name. Does that mean something?

I am guessing it is different in each country or maybe its age related? who knows what goes threw there minds, mines also does not have my fiancé’s name, onyl says PET: approved blah blah USCIS EAC

Kim atleast you get to build up the excitement all over again!, he will probably be at the airport very early just to 'make sure' everything is fine! lol

I got my Visa this morning!, checked out my chest Xray (no reason why, I just thought it was cool tongue.gif ) my Visa says PET: APPRV Uscis/eac on 23jul2008 hmm !.

Its so good to be done atleast for now if anyone is interested, Steven is coming here first week of November to celebrate Bonfire night and my Brothers 20th birthday, then we are flying home together so I can clean the bloody bedroom lol

Congrats Dale! not long now!.

Susie I hope you both can get the birth certificate sorted, hopefully the consular wont see it as a huge problem, they will no doubt understand the length of time it takes in Peru, good luck to you!.

We constantly complain about the $1200 it costs to go from Baltimore to Scotland, hearing that its 1500 for places like NZ and Aussie makes me realise we actually might be quite lucky!.
