PhilippinesWhen does the tracking number show up
Just wondering if the tracking number for the visa shows up at air21's website before the visa is delivered, or does it generally only show up the day of/once it's delivered? I'm getting really tired of see "number not found". whistling.gif

Our case has been in the USEM for almost 3 months now, but we still haven't scheduled my interview because I still don't have my police clearance. We were planning to just go on with the interview even without my clearance but then, we ran out of time because our case will expire on the 22nd of this month. We'll just send an e-mail to the embassy to extend the validity of our case for another four months, because I've learned that embassies do that.
It depends upon you though, if you want to go on with the interview even without her clearance, but then, she will get a white slip. But the good thing about that is, she will be done with almost everything. You should talk to your girl about that. Good luck smile.gif

i think that is what she is going to do. She is going to just go and hopefully they can give her back her visa or atleast make a copy of it so she can send a copy to her sister. I think the white slip is going to be quicker then waiting for a nother interview date. That could take a while to get as it looks like they are mid dec and she hopes to get here for xmas. Taht is our goal.

It's frustrating to get the white slip and wait days, weeks, or even months with no way to track what is going on. Our interview was Sept. 25, submitted the document on the 30th.......still no visa. Personally, I would go with all the documents.

As previously mentioned, the terminal fee is 750 that everyone pays, but check your receipt because Philippine Travel Tax is sometimes already included like it was on my fiancee's when flying continental and purchasing the ticket online.

PhilippinesROAMING SIM
QUOTE (netscot @ Jul 17 2009, 12:25 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hi, I had my roaming sim here in US. I bring my old cell phone in my last travel from the Philippines last June. I activated my Smart roaming sim card an hour before we boarded . When I arrived here in U.S-MI last (June 18). I don`t know why it is not working. I don`t even got any signal from my phone, my roaming sim has 300 load last June. Now, I can`t even open it because it is already drained .I am quite nervous to use my charger here because it is my charger in the phil. and my husband said my charger can`t be use here. All my friends cell phone number was stored in that sim and can`t even open it so now I lost contact from them. I am quite frustrated about it.I don`t know maybe the model of my handset is not applicable for roaming sim. I am hoping I can still use that phone here and got my friends number in my sim but I guess can`t do it.

So, check also your phone and place here in U.S. if it is reachable by that roaming sim. I hope you can activate your roaming when you get here in U.S. Thanks and God bless!

You have to allow more than 1 hour before leaving to activate roaming. You may want to try activating from the Smart website. Not sure if that will work now that you are already out of country and if you are now below 100P load. As long as your charger says 100-240V and 50/60Hz, you can use it in the US.

There is no packet sent anymore. She may get a letter that tells her where to go to download the forms she needs. No need to wait on that letter.

can someone shed some light to my situation, my cousin had an interview in June 09 and he was missing his cenomar which we past along to the embassy after a week. nvc did not request cenomar for his interview. until now we haven't heard anything from them. How long does it normally take to get a visa as such situation occured

I have waited a month because I don't have the CENOMAR, just hang in there.

thank you, i hope we will hear from them this coming week.

My fiance just finished her interview today 9/24/09 and we too are in AR, very similar white sheet no documents needed checked just wait for additional contact, but she was not told the she passed interview. Air 21 tracking number issued but no explanation of AR. So my question is could this be only document varification or did she fail, I would assume if she failed the interview she would be told after the interview....Please inlighten me

As long as they didn't give her passport back she'll be okay. I had the same situation too. They did not say I was approve, the CO only told me our papers are okay they just need to review it ( but I know it was because of the CENOMAR that I don't have). They let me pay the courier fee too. I waited for a month to receive my visa.

I don't like the sound of this. My fiancee just had her interview today (25th) after being rescheduled from the 22nd because they still don't have our documents. They allowed her interview today without the documents but would not give her the pink slip because of not having my divorce decree. She got her passport back. She is scheduled to fly soon. If I wasn't legally divorced, my application would have never even made it that far. mad.gif No explanation where my paperwork could be being it left the NVC September 8th, or why she got the letter to schedule her interview if they don't have the package. All of this after 29 days of AP in the NVC. Seems we can't catch a break.

PhilippinesBuying wedding dress and rings in the Philippines
My fiancee had her gown custom made in Cebu. She had no problems trying it on as long as I'm not seeing her in it. I bought the rings here. Mine was cheap because I prefer durable metals to precious metals. Her's is platinum, and I don't recall seeing platinum in the Philippines in the malls. It's even rare in my hometown because of the cost.

I suggest calling the Dept. of State after you have the MNL # to find out when the papers are sent out. You could be one of the not so lucky ones chosen for "addition processing" at which case you could be held up a month or more. In our case, not only did we get AP but our file also disappeared for a month during the transfer so we could not get approval at the interview. It's important that they have both the electronic and hard copies, or you are just wasting your time.

Good morning everyone!

I have a question - I think I have misunderstood something. Does the embassy need the original copy of MY divorce decree or just Lars'? I have plenty of time to send it to him but I didn't, yet. Also, do they need MY birth certificate? I have reached saturation on all of these forms and packets and immigration issues....nothing else can sink in!

In my experience, the embassy is only concerned with the beneficiary's documents. So they'll want to see HIS birth certificate and divorce decree, but couldn't care less about yours. The petitioner's eligibility has already been determined by USCIS; the consulate's responsibility is to ensure the beneficiary is eligible for the visa.

That said, the VJ guides suggest that you send him originals of everything submitted for the I-129F (which would presumably include your birth certificate and divorce decree) just in case the embassy asks to see them. But most likely they never will.

My fiancee was given a white slip because she did not have 2 pages of my divorce decree (which was sent through USCIS originally). It can really depend on the embassy and even the person asking that day. Better to be safe than sorry.

Alright guys...what's going on today?

Hello fellow March filers! I'm checking in with a "lack of progress" report. Even after my finacee's interview, our paperwork is still "missing" at the US Embassy Manila. My fiancee submitted a copy of my divorce decree Tuesday as that was the only thing lacking at the interview. I also sent it last night through their email contact form as well as calling the embassy. You can guess how that call went. This morning I found a reply email from the embassy ohmy.gif . I was shocked that they replied about 2 hours after sending off the email. I only wish it could be considered good news:

"This is in reply to your inquiry of September 30, 2009, regarding the visa case of the referenced individual.

We have referred your message to the responsible processing team for appropriate action. We have also included your divorce decree in our review of the case. We have yet to receive the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)-approved petition on behalf of the applicant and coordinating with the State Department’s National Visa Center regarding this matter.

As soon as we receive the petition and complete the review of the case, we will notify the applicant to resume processing the visa application.

It is not Embassy policy to tell applicants or petitioners that a visa would be issued by any specific date. In fact, we advise our clients not to finalize travel plans, dispose of their properties, or give up jobs until a visa is actually delivered to the applicant. We are simply unable to predict if or when an applicant would qualify for visa issuance.

If you or the applicant would like to inquire further about the status of the visa case, you may contact the Embassy's Visa Call Center at telephone 1-909-101-7878. This number is for subscribers of PLDT and Smart telephone touchtone landlines with national and international distance dialing features (NDD or IDD access). Callers in the USA can contact the Call Center at 1-888-877-9888. The Call Center is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Manila time). There is a fee assessed to callers by the Call Center for its services."

This morning I called the NVC.....another complete waste. I then called the DOS and at least confirmed that they do show that my fiancee had her interview and I submitted the divorce decree. I feel that this should be elevated since they messed up losing our paperwork, and my finacee should have been approved at her interview, but that request seems to fall on deaf ears. I'll be calling USEM daily until this is resolved. My fiancee was supposed to be joining me in a week but now no definite timeframe crying.gif . All of this after 29 days stuck at the NVC. I hope the rest of you have much better luck than us.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsMarch 2009 k-1 people
So after 149 days to NOA2, 29 days of AP, and finally getting an interview scheduled for Sept. 22nd, my fiancee gets to the interview appointment only to be rescheduled until the 25th. mad.gif They said she was not in the system. WTH! She had the letter from the USEM which from what I've been told you get after being put in the system, plus her interview appointment notice. And you guys thought the USCIS was screwed up. Excuse me why I go clean my guns! devil.gif

I think he mentions in his signature that he's with the US Army

Anyways....CONGRATS!

Ahhhh....you're right. He's an Army helicopter pilot. It's in his story in his personal profile. (sorry for talking about you like you're not here Mark. smile.gif ) Well awesome, happy to see that!

That is quite alright. I did include that in the profile section for that reason. I had filed the application under normal circumstances, then, the deployment orders arrived. After that, I faxed a copy to DHS on 3 DEC and got an "Expedite Approval" / "Application Approval" on 4 DEC. NOA2 hard copy arrived 7 DEC. Not too sure if the Military Expedite continues to the Embassy in Manila. After NVC forwards the packet there, I will call to find out. All of a sudden, my clock is ticking and time is of the essence! Any other "Military" filers here? And thank everyone for the congrats...just a heck of a way for Donna to start a new life here in the States, but, it is well worth any and everything we go through.

Hello Fellow August Filers! Well, getting VSC to send the NOA1 seemed to be fairly simple. In the holding pattern for the NOA2 with everyone else. Here's a question for all....has anyone attempted to have their future spouse vist the U.S. from the Philippines on a B-2 while waiting? Just a thought.... BEST OF LUCK TO ALL!

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionUrgent - Forgot the Interview Letter
Thanks for the ideas. I'm sure they should take a scanned copy. I'm sure that once she's inside, all this will be very funny. To wait nine months for this meeting and then forget the entrance document. Just one of those little oopses along the way. We'll let everyone know how it turns out.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionUrgent - Forgot the Interview Letter
My fiance just arrived in London where she has her interview tomorrow morning but has forgotten the interview letter. The letter said to bring the letter to present to the guard. Can anyone tell me very soon how necessary is this letter? I'll need to know if she needs to drive four hours to retrieve it or whether it is not needed.

Has anyone else been in this position?

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)Honduras Anyone

http://honduras.usem...ames.htm#Waiver

8. Processing of Waiver Requests for Ineligible Applicants - 6 to 8 months

If it is determined that an applicant has an ineligibility for which there is an available waiver, the applicant will need to fill out all of the required forms in order to apply for the waiver.

These forms include an I-212 for deportations, I-601 for other ineligibilities, G-325A for all waiver applications, and a hardship letter from the petitioner describing the extreme suffering s/he will suffer if the waiver is denied. The applicant will also need to provide a full set of fingerprints and pay additional processing fees. Once all forms and the results of the fingerprint check have been received, the case is transferred to the Department of Homeland Security for processing of the waiver application.

For more information regarding the status of a waiver application, please contact DHS Tegucigalpa by telephone at, extension 4500; by fax at; or by e-mail at uscistgu.inquiries@dhs.gov.

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)Honduras Anyone

What are the experiences that you faced when at the Embassy in Honduras, especially when filing a 601 & 212? Also what is the general wait time?
Thanks for all of your help! :help:

Sorry I don't have an answer to you, but I would like to know this too and I hope someone is able to tell us both! I'm hoping it won't be that long if we have to end up filing a waiver.
