Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	Changing Citizenship while on CR1 Green Card before ROC	Hi   Please answer this question only if you truly understand my situation and are aware of all the rules and regulations regarding this.   Background: I was born as an  Indian citizen and moved to Canada 8 years ago, became a Permanent REsident of Canada and am now a Canadian Citizen (last month).  India does not allow dual citizenship, but lets u get a OCI card (Overseas Citizen of India) which is somewhat like a lifelong visa but not citizenship. Therefore I got OCI on my Canadian Passport. I also have US Green Card, which I got through my wife, who is a citizen of US (CR-1 Visa). I have the GC which is valid for 2 years and will need to remove conditions soon. I live and work in the United states and changed my Citizenship while on the 2 year CR1 Green Card. - Are you talking about the Canadian citizenship here?   Question 1 : Would I have any problems applying for removal of conditions on my Green Card ? I do have a lot of evidence of bonafide marraige as I live in the US now and file taxes and have tonnes of paperwork (like lease, car insurance, health coverage etc) .. You should be fine, unless you submitting false evidences   Question 2: Once I get my ROC done and get a 10 year GC, WIll I be able to naturalize for US CItizenship after 3 years (since I first became a GC Holder). would me already having a Canadian citizenship affect my case ? Yes, you can file after 3 years and for the second question, I think it won't affect since you are giving up your Canadian citizenship or becomes a dual citizenship if Canada allows it.     Thanks in advance! My middle name underwent for correction which were aproved, but my problem is my middle name in my current passport is still unchanged. I got the first copy of my annotated birth certificate thatvwas sent to my wife in the States. My wife will file I-130 later this July, we are worried about during submission of DS-230, together with my passport copy. God bless! i had my baptismal certificate corrected last year..i went to the local church where i was baptized then i was asked to bring my bc and 2 witnesses who were not related to me..after me and the witnesses signed a form i was given a letter to be forwarded to the bishop's office(in my province)..it was a letter of correction that needs the approval of the bishop since i was baptized in a catholic church..it just took me an hour to get the approval which i then took back to my local church and i got my corrected baptismal certificate right at that moment.. Philippines	Authentication at DFA	My mother went to DFA yesterday to authenticate my birth certificate to sent here in Riyadh for my new passport, the thing is, they cannot read my first name, they are asking for a certified copy of my BC but the problem is I have that copy with me. You have to check-in at least 2 hours before you scheduled flight, avoid too much luggage, hand carry is at least 7 kgs. I don't know if Northwest Airline allows more than 1 bag inside the aircraft, check all your belongings never to leave anything unattended, if you are early to check-in you can choose you seat, you can request either you like window side or isle, just ask the check-in counter staff. Secure the locks of your bags, I am working in an airline company and I know how do these people at the baggage room handle the baggages. After your check-in proceed to the window where you will pay your terminal fee, then to the immigration department where they will check your documents and stamp your passport then proceed to the gate where you are going to board, the gate number is indicated on your boarding pass, boarding time is usually 45 minutes before the departure. Philippines	birth certificate error	If it's clerical error, you have to pay for 1000 Php only, she needs to go the place where she was registered to file the petition of correction. She needs to obtain documents at least 10 showing her name is PAMELA,such as School records,PCC,NBI,Medical Records, Employment Certificates etc. Last March 2009 I had my middle name corrected, I went back to the Philippines just to correct it and I got the authenticated one on June 22,2009. Philippines	additional documents	Thanks for this post, now it's clear to me that you have to provide sufficient evidence for both names you used. Because I had my middle name amended also, when I took my first passport I notices the spelling of my meddle name were incorrect,the first letter is missing, but I continue to get my first passport because I had my first job abroad, since then I've been using the incorrect middle name.
