Hey gang, some PCC do have expiration dates right on them, my hubbys do from Algeria, states Valid for 3 months, for safety sake try and get another one, or do like I did, I emailed the embassy and asked them, sonce their packet 3 says docs are good within 1 year of the interview, more confusion. Its up to the C/O the embassy told me. So for the NVC i WILL enclose the email I got from the embassy saying they will accept it BUT up to the officer to accept it.



The PCC which SAUDI ARABIAN Police issues DONOT have expire dates on that we discuss that matter with AMERICAN EMBASSY and they accepts same PCC what we got . Well now We are waiting what lawyer says . Lawyer told us to wait for 2 week bcz NVC told him for review the case he told us on 11 AUG and now we will wait a day or two . Then we will contact direct to NVC and call the senetors or congressman . We are so in pain bcz of this too much paper work.

3) Translator asked me you know english then why did you ask for translator. I said I havent had conversation about translator with that Indian lady officer. Officer said OK. U know english and can you answer in english. I said yes.
4)Have you had photo with your wife except any kind of ceremony?
5) when you saw your wife last time?

And then with smile he said your visa has been approved.

Really its very good experice except long wait for interview.

Per my experience and research of past 3 yrs....police certification does have an expiration date some expires w/in 3 mons othera 6mons. It might be country specific. i.e pakistanis are required to have a PCC w/expiration date.

My fiance's Admin processing took 16 months. we submitted his pcc b4 interview, after the completion of AP (16mons after) he was requested to re-submit his PCC.

If you read Islambad's forum u will come to find out that most of the PCC expires from 3-6mons, and the applicant is required to re-submit the PCC. This might be only for Pakistani citizen since Pak is on top of T-26 nations.

Calm down, immigration is not an easy process, it requires extreme levels of patience and tolerance. American citizens are given a special privilege, there is a long wait, thousands and thousand applying everyday, this is a v v complicated and stressful process. Anger will only hurt yourself.


Good lucks and try to abide by the rules and stay calm.


So as to my country, there is no expiration date but at the botom part you will see the note, "This certificate expires 6 months from the date of issue." If some people submitted a PCC without an expiration date,how come they are looking it from you? Do you think it's because it depends to the officers handling your papers?

Yes i did read that link and now that what we gonna do tomorrow we will write a letter to NVC and explain that Saudi Police refused to give the letter of reason why they dont put dates on Police certificate but we will obtain another fresh PCC at the time of Interview and will show that at US EMBASSY RIYADH . hope that might be helpful and they will accept our request.

I can understand how you feel right now, because I know it's not that easy obtaining those kinds of documents in Saudi Arabia.
They need a valid reasons why you need these documents and the hardest part is that,they can't communicate with you properly if you talk with them in english. The hardest part is how you are going to explain this to the NVC that Saudi Police don't just give these documents as easy as it seems.

I hope everything will be alright. I can't tell you to relax because I know how it feels.

and she used to tell me that she had this hunch that I might just play around. I love my wife, and for sure she has doubts and I can't blame her, we got married so fast as if everything was just settled.
and we seperated our ways after a couple of weeks after the wedding because she needs to go back to the States and I need to go back to Saudi Arabia. It's a normal feelings, I guess.

Hello guys. I've been using VJ for a resource for over a year and a half now and am looking for a little bit of advice here towards the end of our journey.

Our CR-1 is now at the NVC and I think we have everything ready for that, just paying fees, and getting the packets ready for that right now, but I have everything I need for that.

As far as the Interview though, I don't think we are prepared as we should be yet and need some advice on what to do to prep, what documents and evidences to bring etc.

First, we are newly weds and don't have some of the evidence of a bonafide marriage that couples that have lived together for a long time would have.

Here is what I do have, and tell me if you think each item is helpful or not, and whether the the totality of it is adequate or not.

1. A nice collection of photos of me, my wife, and her family during my three different visits to see her. First trip was when we became engaged, then second trip was 8 months later when we got married. Then, the most recent trip, in August until last week, I was there again staying with her at her family's house. Not sure yet on the quantity, but at least 30+ photos of just us or us and her family, including pictures on our honeymoon, and at our wedding.

2. A selection of 2-3 emails and chats per month spanning from when we were first introduced to each other (my Uncle and my wife's cousin are married to each other, they met while my uncle was on a mission trip in the phils.) Well over a year and half worth of chat and email.

3. Phone bills from both my cell phone and land line, showing bills as high as 700 dollars some months! The only downside is that in April of this year, we started using Magicjack, and as far as I can tell, there is no way to print a call log from calls placed on the magicjack... anyone have any ideas? Can my phone company print a log of calls from/to my phone, even if its not billed? Also, I still call her landline, using my landline to let her know im home, so she can call me back using magicjack, so that still provides dated contact proof between us, even if the phone calls that are billed now only last 2-5 minutes before we switch to magicjack.

3a. She has a mountain of calling cards from before we started using magicjack, should she bring those, or a picture of them, or is this useless?

4. Register receipts from all three trips, including receipts for our engagement ring, wedding rings, and honeymoon stay. Also, includes dental work done for her that was fairly expensive (philippine standards), and a ton of restaurant and shopping trip outing receipts.

5. Copy of hand written letters to each other and Christmas cards. Unfortunately these aren't post marked, as we would write letters to each other only on the days we left each other, each time I was there, or when a relative of hers would come visist, she would sent a letter back with them, so therefor no offical dating of the material.

6. Receipts and package labels of packages i've mailed to her over the past year or so, probably 5 or so in total.

7. Printout of our checking account statement, which is shows her as a joint owner (she hasn't ever been to the US, but my bank mailed her the paperwork to add her to my account and had her sign in front of a notary there in the Phils.)

8. ATM receipts of her withdrawing money over the past 7 months since our wedding. Is this helpful, to show I am supporting my wife and to pay for projects around the house such as redoing her room, and adding air conditioning to it for when I was coming to stay in August? smile.gif

9. Boarding Passes, Copy of passport page showing my three visits.

10. Life Insurance with my wife as Beneficiary.

This is pretty much all I have been able to think of so far. The only other thing I can think of are more signed affidavits by her and mine family members. I sent two with my initial petition, one from my mother and one from hers. Would additional ones, from maybe a friend of hers and an aunt of mine, who has corresponded with my wife be beneficial? I read from someone though here in VJ that it would be unhelpful, if not maybe detrimental at the interview stage to bring more affidavits.

Maybe i'm being overly paranoid, but I've read horror stories on here about visa denials due to them thinking it was visa fraud, or lack of evidence, and it always gets my mind running in circles (im a pessimist by nature sometimes unfortunately) plus there is the fact that we were introduced by my uncle/her cousin, which some say can be a red flag, plus the age difference, there are 13 years age difference between me and my wife, which someone said could be a red flag also. We just want to make sure this goes without a hitch, we miss each other terribly. It was so difficult to leave, again, for the third time, after being together for an entire month! She was sobbing in my arms all night long, the night before I left last week, and we both just want to be together as soon as possible, and let our lives as a married couple truly begin.

If anyone has any comments, suggestions, or ideas on my evidence so far, or for additional evidence, please let me know! You have our many grateful thanks!

For SAUDI ARABIAN Police certificate you need letter form US EMBASSY . For Police certificate from Philpines you will need to visit your embassy . And you will have to have go to US EMBASSY for Police certificate letter.I suggest you dont request letter until you are asked by NVC for Police clearance .

I have 2 copies of original NBI.. U can request 2 copies but u need to pay 2x also..
so that during the interview u can show all original also..

what i did now.

I have our MC 4 copies original
My BC 3 copies original
CENOMAR 3 copies original
Police clearance 2 copies original..

I think u can request again..
just to make it sure.. take there advice.. Submit all originals

What I mean is, When you send the original one, of course you got only one copy of PCC and NBI, they will not issue morethan one.
Which copy are you going to bring during the interview?
Are those copies you sent to the NVC will be sent to the Embassy? unsure.gif

I just want to ask about the PCC and NBI clearances? Did you send the original copies to the NVC?
How about during the interview? which copy are you going to bring? Does the NVC will send those original copies to the Embassy where your interview will occur?
