Dr Arnold is retired so dont bother considering that. As well people get RFEd for sending ones from Dr Arnold. You will have to find a CS in your area to do it.

Basically if you are missing any shots or your shots arent up to date they usually RFE for the CS completed vaccination sheet. They will also ask for it if they have lost your sheet or your entire medical. The 693 is required if you do not have a complete vaccination history.

That's the thing...I'm not missing any shots and everything is up to date. I suppose that they could have lost the original medical report, but the form I sent in is supposed to meet their minimum requirements.

Oh well...

It's really ridiculous, they have the vaccination report from woking but all they want is signatures from you and the CS! All about the $$$ isn't it!

The CS better be signing with a gold pen! LoL!

In all seriousness though I hope you are able to find a local CS who is able to do it for you for a decent price.

Good luck!

That's great! kicking.gif Must feel good to sit back and relax for a bit now.

I finally got my RFE back in the mail today. Thankfully well under the 87 days they allotted. I was getting a little worried Canada had forgotten all about my call to them a while back. I sure hope this satisfies what they need. Guess I'll wait to see if they want more info. Of course, now I'm fully expecting an interview, if nothing else.

Joyce- I hope they transfer you to csc after submission of RFE!

Inky- Congrats!!! Can't wait to see the shiny new card tomorrow!

Hi all..I haven't dropped off the face of the earth, nor have I been sent home to Canada....yet... laughing.gif Still waiting from information from the Canadian Government...but every time I go to the mailbox..... It's been two weeks since I called them, so I may call again and MAKE SURE something was mailed out!! I told the woman I'm on a time limit with this...yeeesh. In the mean time I have been very busy with organizing this house, ( in case I get to stay!!) and Sunday School ( again..in case I get to stay)..

Congrats to all of you that have been transferred to CSC or got your approval!! That's so exciting. I hope your first Christmas is filled with lots of laughter and love. ( Well, first Christmas being married) We're still deciding if we want to go to St. Augustine in Florida for a couple days. No family there, but just to get away. With the stress of immigration...might not be a bad idea.

Take care, and I'll try to get in here soon...and hopefully with good news! good.gif

laughing.gif Joyce I love your emoticons! I sure hope you are able to stay too! LOL! Hope the mail gets to you quickly!!

I would definitely go to FL to get away from it all for a couple days! I sure would love to get to FL now....its freezing here and spent all day unburying ourselves from snow!! wacko.gif

Hope to hear good news soon Joyce!

Take care!

Congrats Inky that's awesome! And super fast!! Did you have a special military expedite of some kind? Because less than 2 months from CSC has to be some kind of record!

And congrats on being transferred Bean!

Minnie, they are touching you like crazy girl! laughing.gif

I know! Lots of touches no action yet!!

There's been alot of CSC transferred sept filers that got approved in less than 60 days and there's been quite a few October filers already too! I'm hoping this trend keeps going!

Congrats huggles & cdneh!!

Joyce- did you send in response to your RFE yet?

Well ladies and gents have a small question for you. As you can see from my signature I have had alot of touches on my 485 since CSC transfer. What is going on? unsure.gif I'm so nervous about RFE! Do I just have a touch happy adjudicator? Or is my file not even with one yet & getting transfered from crate to crate?!

I guess we will never understand the inner workings and what these touches mean! I know that beggars can't be choosers, but at this pt it would be nice to see a touch on my 765/131. Those haven't been updated since 11/20 & 11/03.

Huggles-Yes it's a possibility nothing on paper yet though:(
Wonder if the military helpline would be of help to me then. I just don't want to interview alone, and like you said would it be more a formality with the other person not there.

Maplestar- Sorry to heat about your delay for GC at least it's a quick fix.

Had my bio appt today!! I stressed out too much about it, it was a piece of cake! Everyone was really friendly, except the young guard that was trying to be so serious after I smiled and said hello! LOL!

Hoping for some action on my cases soon!!!

Huggles- I don't know which i would rather have honestly at this point, it's all in USCIS hands. Transfer means more waiting... But interview.... Well I'd honestly not do another one, my K-1 interview was stressful enough, almost didn't go home with approval. If I have an interview I would like my husband there with me this time, but depending on how fast my local office schedules.... (most recent one on timelines says around 4 mos) There's a possibility my husband might be gone sad.gif

Rob and Mel- good observation about the interview. My local office is like that too it looks brand new and it's all windows surrounding the outside of the building too.

My bio appt is tomorrow!! Hoping for more action on my case afterwards!!

Got my NOA1's today!! The notice date is October 29th!! That was fast!! Received date October 23rd!! Case won't show up online yet though!

Mine had the notice date of October 29th too!! Maybe we'll get our GC at the same time...wouldn't that be cool?? I sent mine in Oct. 25th.

I also have those same codes and on the same NOA. AOS has code 3 and EAD has code 2. I also have instruction to bring the EAD to Biometrics but not the AP...

*think I'll just bring it anyway*

I got so excited when I saw all those NOA's. At least I know things are moving along now. Hopefully we can track it soon. We're going to head to Mississippi on Nov. 8th, and be gone for about two weeks. I'm really hoping my biometrics isn't in that time frame... unsure.gif

Congrats Joyce!! We have the same notice date!! I tried to view my cases online thinking I wouldn't be able to for another week.....and they were available to view!! Last updated date Nov 3rd!! Woot! That was quick!!

Most of the bio's for the October filers weren't issued until about 2-3 weeks after the NOA's, so I would think you would be fine. You might come home to a bio appt letter though! I hope someone you trust will be checking the mail for you?

same with mine, was on sunday 4th oct, was picked up signed for and everything by USCIS. I would expect they have it haha. Not sure if they are pulling all nighters or what tho! but i got my stuff fairly soon after that as well.. about 8 days I think it was? they cashed the check and I got noa in the mail lol.

I don't know if mine was signed for or not, that part didn't say. Tim is sure it only got to the Post Office, which is still strange, being a Sunday night and all. I think I'll just say it was "delivered".. laughing.gif

We just got a new puppy early this week and there is lots of wedding stuff still to be put away and organized....guess I will have lots of time! tongue.gif I'm exhausted!

I hope we get transferred to CSC! But I am really doubting the possibility given the local office stats and our situation. sad.gif

Great!! Ours is still, (at this time) in limbo..laughing.gif

What did you use for the email alerts? I was assuming we'd get a case # on the back of the cheque like last time.

I hope everything goes smooth for you. I have no idea about local office stats, (or where to look) but I won't be surprised to have an interview. It would probably be over the financial part, or they may RFE for more banking evidence. I included the sale of my house, (from the lawyers papers) and my account balance. My guess is that they'll want to talk with us a little more on that...

Have fun with that puppy!! What kind did you get? I'd love to get a little Yorkie, but we're not ready yet.

If you got certified mail with tracking, there should be a label number and you go onto USPS.com to register for it. I never got one until it was actually delivered! *sigh*

I hope everything goes smooth for you too!

How long did it take for some of you to get a biometrics appointment?

Heres a little story too!
Minnew and I now live right near each other. While I was getting my AOS ready to send off, I called the civil surgeon that is right down the street and the woman on the phone told me it costs 200$ to get the shots transcribed. I told her " are you sure? I dont need a full medical I already had it in canada, I just need the shots transcribed " she said yes im sure its 200$ plus extra for any shots that you are missing. So I said forget it as everyone around here is expecive. Well today Minnew called that same doctor and they just transcribed her shots for around 37$... !! What the heck! and I already sent my AOS and everything... Im going to go down there tomorrow morning and speak to someone at the office and see what the heck is going on about this. Im so glad I didnt go in and pay them 200$ then hear from minnew that they only charged 37$ I would have killed someone lol. Totally sucks but atleast if I get RFE or an interview I can maybe get the papers now for it unless they deside to tell me that they didnt give her it for 37$ in which case I will make a big ruckus!

Yup this is true! I did not want to be scrambling to get it transcribed in case we do get an interview, I didn't want to feel like I am trying to "get away" with not doing it either. (Unfortunately I think we will have an interview...Now that I say that we won't...lol). When I called the office the lady said they do them for $65 and asked me when I would need it done by because I need an appointment. She put me on hold a few minutes and said I talked to the Dr. and he said you do not need an appointment, when would you like to come in, and it MAY be less than $65, but more if you need extra shots. So an hour and a half later I go the office and he completes my forms. It was very easy, but its also beneficial to bring your vaccine records from the province just in case he has questions. They coded it as a nurses' visit, he said thats the lowest he could charge, I wasn't complaining though I am sure it would have cost me close to that to do Dr. Arnold with postage and fax machine charges. I wonder what the rest of the doctors in the area would have told me...prob would have tried to say new medical! Ha!

Inky I am very interested in what the Dr.'s office will tell you today!

Hopefully I will have AOS in the mail by tomorrow! We had a new addition to our family last night, he's 2 lbs, white, black and tan and 2 spots on his back, and if only his ears could get us Direct TV! LOL! A male Toy Fox Terrier, 10 weeks old!

Already added to his USAA car insurance and a member of USAA...I did not get a checking account yet, because they wanted me to fill out a W-8BEN...(I guess if you are not a GC holder or US citizen).I looked at it and was not comfortable with it at all....so I will just keep my WF account which i've had for a few years now until I get my GC.

Minnew, you don't need to send photos with AOS. That's not a requirement smile.gif I didn't send any. If you get called for an interview, then some people bring photo albums to the interview.

My husband will finally be arriving in the U.S. next weekend. So now I am looking forward to the AOS. He got a K3 visa. I am seeing some talk of a vaccination supplement and this has me worried. Where did you get this supplement? My husband asked for one at the medical (it was done in Montreal) and they told him not to worry, that everything would be in the packet. What do we do?

at the medical, when he went back to pick it up, there would have been a yellow envelope sealed, his Xray, and a photocopy chart like white sheet, paperclipped on the outside of the envelope, with all these little check marks for his vaccinations. That photocopy is the vacc supp. If he did not get it, or threw it out (as they never really tell you what it's for), you can try calling the clinic and asking them to fax you a copy of it. They will have it in his file. It is his medical records, so he has access and a right to that info. They may try charging for it.

Once you get it, you have a choice of sending just that with the AOS package, as many of us did...or finding a Surgeon General in your area (or Dr. Arnold in Texas) to transcribe it for you. If they do transcribe it, this is the I-693 that you will be submitting. USCIS has become sticklers lately and many have rec'd RFE's for not having the I-693. Dr. Arnold does it for as little as $30 I think, others may charge a lot more.

If you cannot get your hands on it at all....you may be forced to re-do the medical. If this is the case, you may want to look into approved Dr.s...this can run you $200-300....

Good luck smile.gif

Thanks! They sent it to him in the mail and there was no white photocopy with vaccinations. Oh boy. Another headache to worry about. Now I'm mad that they didn't give it to him at the medical when he asked for it. And since he is from Iran, his K3 is only good for 6 months, so we have to get the AOS taken care of as soon as he gets here. :-(

Why is his K-3 only good for 6 months? K-3's are 2 year multiple entry visas?

edit. sorry didn't read that fully, but why because he is from Iran it's different?

Has anyone been on the USCIS online case status thingy lately? They changed it! Its all colorful and interactive... And they sorta explain to you what your case is doing at any given stage. Funky.

Yup! It's new now!

I love they have the little circles showing what step your on. mine still says "review" when I have my interview next week! rofl.gif

They need to keep that site updated in real time!

Huggle, I saw your interview is this week! GOOD LUCK! good.gif

Good luck with your interview Starburst!

Good luck with your bio appt Huggles!!

I hope to be joining you guys with AOS by the end of October! I hope things don't change too dramatically from now until then!

So does anyone have issues with the guest list? Like your family wants so and so invited that you don't? I have a few cousins that I cannot STAND and don't want them at my wedding, but my Dad really wants me to invite them to be nice.... I doubt they'd come as they live far away, but it's the principle of inviting them.

Yes we had lots of issues with the guest list, mostly on my fiance's side. Actually we still are to this day, I hate it when people assume they are getting an invitation....long story....
I think there is some resentment that some of his mom's distant family were not invited...even though he doesn''t know any of them! Its the principle of it though and I am glad he put his foot down and said no! Yes there were some courtesy invites, to people that we knew probably would not be able to travel and make it, but ppl that we actually KNEW and are a part of our lives. I understand the $$ factor as both families are contributing, but if they are going to pull that card over and over again, then whos wedding really is it?

And how cute is your flower girl?? laughing.gif Huggles, I'm pretty certain that I will be crying too... LOL I AM emotional, thus, am doomed.

I'm doomed too laughing.gif

OMG 60 DAYS!!! AHHHH!! Still so much to do!

I am going to be an utter mess during the ceremony. I keep reading over the ceremony that the pastor emailed to us and I break down crying when it comes time to read the vows. Even the scripture makes me tear up! I told my fiance about how I will be crying most likely, and he's like well sheesh if you really don't want to marry me, you don't have to...and does his whole impression of a baby crying.... laughing.gif (He does alot of cute impressions) I love his sarcasm somedays! wacko.gif laughing.gif

Hey all,

I haven't seen this subject at all in the "weding details" thread. Forgive me if I missed it...

How do you all deal(or dealt) with the whole meeting with the minister/pastor/priest before the wedding day? For some of you that live far away, how did you do it? The place we're looking at (United Methodist) requires us to visit 6 months before we get married. I was looking at end of February, which is about 6 months away now. So we'd be on the line.

Another thing. My fiance & I are not entirely religious. I'm not gonna go into what I do/don't believe in, but let's just say we don't attend church on a weekly basis. I was brought up Catholic, but I don't "practice".
Reason for getting married in a church...my mom. I mean, it IS nice & all, don't get me wrong. But it would be for her...which is a big deal for her.

Do I just suck it up & meet up with them whenever we're available? Or is there another option?

Thanks

You sound exactly like me, I was born and raised catholic but well lets just say I am Christian, my fiance feels the same way but not brought up Catholic. We met with our pastor in March/April of this year, the last time I visited. We explained the situation and the pastor was able to accomodate 2 premarital sessions with us while I was there for 2 weeks. The last one we are supposed to do when I arrive in September. Our church did not have a requirement of meeting 6 months in advance though, just 3 premarital sessions, not classes. Neither of us knew this pastor very well, and we had never been to a service performed by him, because my fiance had just moved to the area a few months earlier. We went on a hope and a prayer that he would "click" with us. United Methodist is also what we went with. It was kind of an awkward topic about affiliation when asked by the pastor, but we were honest and I think thats all that matters.

*Crisis averted*

With the help of the wedding coordinator at the church, we found a pianist/organist who is not affiliated with the church. At first I was nervous that this woman's fees were going to be more than what the church is charging. In fact it was $25 cheaper.....go figure wink.gif

Wedding bells are ringing for Huggles today! Good luck!! kicking.gif

Where's JulyBride? Still enjoying her honeymoon I suppose! We want pictures!! protest6wz.gif
