nakakatakot naman yang Amnio test na yan. sana hindi i-suggest sa akin ng doctor na mag ganyan ako (i'm 31) kasi bahala na pero idedecline ko rin yan. ilang buwan kaya tiyan bago nila i-suggest yan?

Sabi sa amin mag four months daw kasi that's the time na cover ng 4 to 6 ounces ng warm amniotic fluid ang baby its enough to get the sample for the test, basta ako tiwala nalang ako kay Lord ah di ba day.. pray nalang tayo.

Hi to all mommies hopefully everybody's doing great with your babies, I have a question because my OB/GYN ask me last time that if we want to do the Amniocentesis test kasi 37 na ako pero she told us na optional naman kasi nga high risk na daw ang more than 35 years old na pregnant for the baby to have a down syndrome, kasi may next prenatal schedule will be next week, na worried naman ako sa nabasa ko kanina kasi andaming booklets ang binigay sa akin ng OB ko nabasa ko doon about sa down syndrome parang natakot ako tuloy pero marami naman akong friends na nanganak na more 35 years old na sila normal naman, any suggestions please :crying: meron ba mommy dito na nanganak na more than 35 na? share naman yong may ideas jan ha...pero sabi naman sa akin ng OB ko maganda naman daw yong pag grow ng baby ko normal naman daw pero syempre maaga pa naman I'll pray a lot na sana nga wala lang problema ang pag buntis ko trust naman ako kay Lord kaso di ko maiwasan minsan mag worry tao lang ako di ba....thanks in advance...

Hi Brian and Preggy lady, i can relate on your problem. i am on my 2nd trimister now but i had a horrible experienced (sort of) during my first trimister. i really felt so frustrated because i throw up alot and nauseated the whole day, so sensitive with smell, so picky with food but im always hungry, heartburn, gas pain..everything drove me crazy and my hubby. Everyone gave their advices and shares their opinion and it helps me alot. i eat crackers, fruits, eat cereal in the morning and drink alot of milk and eggnog for protein. even if i throw up i still tried my best to eat. my ob recommend me to have zantac for heartburn cause i dont like the smell of the tums, then i took unisom before going to bed and it helps me to sleep good at night, it avoid me from dealing with nausea and vomiting at night. i am so glad i am over with it right now, i started to notice alot of changes about the end of my 13 weeks, my appetite is back, i only threw up only few times and i guess it happened when i over eat or my gutt react with the food. dont worry, you will get over it soon since u are in 12 weeks now. about prenatal vitamins i am taking the brand " New Chapter" perfect prenatal, i took 1 tab three times a day, it doesnt give me any problem at all. So far i didnt experienced about spotting, i know my ob mentioned to me that spotting after sex is normal but if it is something bring up concerned to u maybe good to refrain sex till u get your ob's opinion about it. Good luck and take care with the pregnancy :)

Its really hard for me because even cracker it taste bitter for me even water, I can't take milk it makes me throw up, yogurt that I used to eat like everybody I can't eat right now, I'm glad I found some sandwich cracker from Pinas the sunflower crackers, then we got some guava it taste like from Pinas too it taste so good to me and got some okra, but yesterday I'm trying to eat okra with rice but it doesn't taste any good anymore I don't know :crying: I like a lot of food and then after awhile I don't like it anymore taste weird to me...I'm taking PreNexa vitamins and it huge caplet wow its hard to swallow I'm going to ask different brand next time I already told my OB, I'm having a nice sleep right now unlike before that I'm experiencing the motion sickness its like your on a boat I can really sleep the whole night I'm glad its gone now...I'm drinking 7up to push my food down and helps me to burp I think its okey because 7up don't have a caffeine...God Bless!!!

hello sa lahat...musta muta na ang lahat? hay eto busy...di rin ako maka pag vj pag nandito hubby ko kasi ayaw nya akong nagfoforum hehehehehe...hay naku sumasakit ang aking left leg parang may naipit na ugat...baby ko naman parang magkakaroon din ng sipon though di naman clogged yung nose nya kasi hubby ko my ubo at sipon and he always give our baby kisses kaya baka nahawa sa kanya pero di pa naman sya nabobothered sa nose nya. im happy too kasi kahapon pinaliguan ko sya and he didnt cry today i didnt give him a bath kasi baka lumala sipon nya.

shiela about sa circumcision....the pedia will ask you if you want your baby to be circumcised kasi some parents they dont want...my baby was circumcised nung nasa hospital pa kami...at first when we changed his diaper medyo nakakatakot tingnan at palitan ng diaper si baby kasi kailangan naming palitan din yung bandage na nakalagay sa ehem nya... kailangan kasi palitan yung bandage tsaka hilahin pababa yung skin para di dumikit sa tuli so at first parang hay scarry...

riza, pinatummy time namin baby namin kagabi at kanina...he likes it muntik na nga syang makatulog kaso pinahiga ko kaagad kasi baka makatulog...my hubby did the tummy time last night habang nagtitimpla ako ng gatas ni di nag-isip na baka mapilayan...so kanina tiningnan ko paano nya ginawa yun tapos yun di ko pa rin magawa kasi takot akong mapilayan ang baby ko...lam mo naman dito walang manghihilot. hehehehehe..

eve, about sa diaper naku malapit na mag one month baby ko pero may 100 plus diapers pa kami out of 288 diapers...di ko rin binibilang ilang diaper sya per day... pero buti na lang di sya nagapoopoo everyday kasi mas aksaya ako sa wipes kaysa sa diaper hehehehe...pero gusto ko rin sya magpoopoo everyday but he doesnt.

doc gracey, i guess di na talaga maiiwasan ang mga frustrations pwera na lang siguro kung nasa pinas kasi may pamilyang pwedeng tumulong sa pag aalaga...sometimes when i get so tired i just keep quiet and my hubby will ask me whats wrong and i will say im tired already and he will ask me why your tired hay mas lalong nakakafrustrate...

Anyone have spotting regularly? My wife had it from early on. After intercourse was bad in first 5 weeks. Then spotted after that to 8 weeks then stopped righjt after seeing gyn at 8 weeks 4 days. But doc said all was ok.... heart rate 153 then, and all looked good.

Much bleeding after intercourse January 6, then spotting every day, very little, after that, to present, today being January 12. We have checkup on the 14th, Thursday, and abstaining from sex now until see doc and get the ok.

I read online that many women spot throughout pregnancy and have normal baby. It still makes me feel concerned though.

Just wondering if anyone else here spots regularly like that and has healthy pregnancy.

Thnaks.

Brian in Tennessee

Hi Brian, I'm 12 weeks pregnant too same as your wife and my morning sickness is really bad also, last few weeks I'm already okey but suddenly since sunday I can't eat again everytime I ate I throw up like 3 times a day I lost weight also my OB ask me if I need a medication I said no because I don't wanna take any medication as possible, but I'm thinking today I need to call my OB if there something that she can do, I can't even go to my work because I'm weak due to my morning sickness, and about the bleeding I don't have any the OB ask last time too if I had any spotting or something but I said no...good luck to us my husband and I hoping it will be over soon soooooo hard... :crying: :crying:

PhilippinesPhilippine Passport Name Change... I badly need help about this.

Hi everyone, I need to change my name in my Philippine Passport because we're going to visit the Philippines this coming March. I haven't reported my marriage yet (got married 8 moths ago) but me and my husband is planning to do it as soon as we receive the authenticated marriage certificate that we requested through mail and we're just an hour away from Chicago.

My big mishap is, the name in my GC and EAD appeared as Cherry Lyn Mojica Burle instead of Cherry Lyn Canlong Burle and my maiden name is Cherry Lyn Mojica Canlong. I've patterned my name to the US way.

I've read about paying $25 for the "one and the same" document for an amended passport. I really want my Philippine passport to reflect the name I have in my GC. Is the "one and the same" documentation going be the only option I have?

Thanks in advance.
-Cherry

If your going to renew your passport you don't need to amend, you can apply for name change at the same time report of marriage, check the website of the Philippine Consulate closest to your place...

PhilippinesHaving a baby with private insurance....

Call the Insurance Company and ask them or the Hospital where you plan to deliver the baby maybe they can give you a quote? When I gave birth to my son we only paid $125 as co-pay after delivery by C-Section. We didn't pay for check-ups except for some lab work and ultrasounds. You are paying too much with Private Insurance it would be a lot better if your husband has insurance coverage from his Employer and claim you as his dependent so you'll be covered also.

Actually I called the billing department from the OB/GYN she said that they will send us the quote and they will talk to us how much will gonna pay, I have my own insurance from my job and my husband trying to put me in his insurance (blue shield) as supplemental but there not going to approve because they said that its a pre-existing condition, that's why I'm planning to apply for a maternity insurance from the state I think it helps, so far for now I only have minimal amount to pay aside from the lab which is not included on my insurance, but the rest there's a huge discount so far because the clinic was one of the accredited clinic from my insurance, hopefully were not going to pay that much...thank you guys...

PhilippinesHaving a baby with private insurance....

I just had a baby 5 months ago and my husband has insurance at work and he got me one too. I saw our bill and normal delivery costs around $13000. We did not pay any out-of-pocket fees but he has Health Savings Account and it has a deduction of $1300 for the delivery. All the prenatal check-ups were covered except for some lab work for my blood sugar which costs around $60 and we paid them when the bill comes in the mail. Our insurance is United Health Care. I have Medi-cal, insurance from from the State but did not use it.

You have a normal delivery? wow that"s too expensive my gosh...that"s scary I think I really need to apply from AIM I'm sure were not qualify for medical because of my husband's income, anyway thank you...

PhilippinesHaving US marriage recognized in the Phils

The Clark County Clerks Office says, "It is suggested that non U.S. citizens check with your local officials for special documents that may be needed to ensure that your marriage will be recognized in your country."

The vegas wedding chapel we will get hitched at mentions something called an "Apostille" document that "is for Non-U.S. or Foreign citizens and is accepted as Las Vegas proof of Marriage by most countries and must be obtained after your Las Vegas Wedding Ceremony." Anyone ever heard of this Apostille documentation? It costs extra, so I dont want to pay for something if we dont need it.

Does anyone know if we need any additional documentation to have our marriage officially recognized in the Phils? Do we go register or something at the civil clerks office there on our next trip?

Thanks.

Get your marriage certificate authenticated from county clerk where you got married, and file a report of marriage to the Phil. Consulate in your area, and the Phil. Consulate will transmit the report of marriage at the NSO manila and DFA manila. check the Phil. Consulate in your area for the requirements.

PhilippinesReport of Marriage - what else is it needed for?

It puzzles me why Phil Consulates/Embassies do not have a standardized list of requirements (excluding the marriage certificates though since each vcountry might have different policies for them). The PH Consulate in Vancouver, BC does not list photos of either spouse as a requirement.

Me either I never heard that's one of the requirements I even mailed our report of marriage along with 4 copies of report of marriage form and authenticated copy of our marriage certificate, the only thing because we mailed it the report of marriage form needs to be notarized that's it and need to have a returned mail paid because they will mail you back the signed documents. The consulate is responsible to transmit your marriage at NSO and DFA Manila.

Maybe Philippine Government should do something on this. I would call it cheating when somebody goes to the NSO and request for CENOMAR when in fact the person was married overseas but neglected to file a report of marriage while abroad.NSO should not grant any request right away and make a little investigation if the person is really single or not.
[/quot

The NSO will never give you any certificate indicated that you are married abroad if you never report your report of marriage at the Phil. Consulate abroad because I did that before I get here in the US, if you requested for a CENOMAR they will gave a certificate that they don't have your record on file, and the DFA will never accept even authenticated marriage certificate from US unless from NSO copy of you marriage certificate, but I don't have any idea about renewal of passport with the same name with marital status (married), she need to double check with NSO and DFA, good luck to OP...

All I can say is :wow: how incensitive she is living here in the US is not a joke ever everything is expensive, I'm so glad that my husband is very understanding when it comes to financies, when I was not working I really feel sorry for him paying all the bills I know how hard it is, but you don't have any choice you need to pay or else your screwed... now that I'm working he told me to build my own credit he even help me to pay for my CD and secured credit card from the bank but I'm the one whos paying for it coz I have my own money from work and we both shares for the groceries, something that we need to our place, etc. we both has an access to our joint accounts at the same time I have my own accounts, I'm not sending money to my family regularly because I tried them to understand that I have my own family now, but still I really want to help incase of emergency and some gifts for special occasions which really okey for my husband.

To the OP you better talk to your wife heart to heart, try her to understand how hard your situation paying all the bills that both of you benefited for that debt OMG, did she ever thought what if she's in your shoes what she gonna do? or what if let her rent an apartment for like 3 months by herself on that case she will pay for everything, all the bills maybe she will realize how hard if shes paying all the bills out from her pay check right? "just kidding" by the way she can still sleep doing that to you? while you carrying all the burden while she's having a good time of her money?...Good luck..

PhilippinesPhone Service ? pinoytawagunlimited
Hi, I'm using OWTEL it's pretty good too, you can use it thru landline or cellphone for 18 cent's per minute I spent a month around 30+ dollars, and the reception is not bad unlike phone cards its hard to contact the number your calling in the Phil. sometimes and then they deducted your minutes right away with some other hidden charges as well.

PhilippinesAll pregnant Mommies

Am at 32 weeks and my husband just added us to his insurance policy last month. He approached the woman handling the account and asked about adding me and our daughter after we got married in Jan 2009...he could have done it then except we were not in the U.S. yet (we only arrived here Oct 2009), and it seemed silly to add us when we could not avail of the benefits anyway. He approached the insurance company again in Oct 2009 but was told to wait for open enrollment (Aug 2010). :(

When I had my daughter, it was via C-section...what do you guys think are my chances of the insurance company covering the cost...will they treat this as a pre-existing condition? Since we (our daughter and I) were not on the policy when I first started seeing the OB for prenatal exams, we have been self-paying for normal delivery (the thought of going through with that just terrifies me, and I really wish I could have a C-section instead)...any suggestions on what we can do?

Some insurance company considered pregnancy as pre-existing condition, when I was 18 weeks pregnant my husband trying to add me in his insurance as supplemental for me because I had my own insurance from my job covered with maternity but its limited, but they won't allow him because I'm already pregnant, so how much is the cost of the C-section without insurance?
