Hello, are you guys done with the report of birth? kasi sa akin next week ko ipa mail ang report of birth ipadala ko ang certified copy ng Marriage and birth pero kinausap ko ang taga Consulate ibalik naman daw nila kasi isesend back naman nila ang copy ng report of birth ng baby, kaya require ang return envelope with postage from USPS para ma i send nila ang copya balik sayo, pero San Francisco kami kaya na Consulate ask mo nalang jan sa DC kung pwedi malapit lang naman sana kami sa Consulate 1 hr drive lang kaso may pasok ang husband ko at ayaw ko namang dalhin ang baby ko kung saan saan na hindi pa napa baptize, kaya send ko nalang by mail ang sa akin, ingat po...	rose19	Female	Philippines	2010-09-06 18:15:00

Philippines	All pregnant Mommies	ate rose ganyan talaga dito once di ka mag epidural napapabilib sila...kasi i guess maraming women na humihingi ng epidural...ako i wanted to have epidural kaso na late yung epidural ko kaya yun napaanak ako na walang epidural and you know di naman sya masakit when pushing....masakit lang yung part na pag nasa maybe 8-9cm dilated ka na... i had pitocin din kaso i never felt any pain sa mga contractions ko...i kept asking the nurse did you increse my pitocin already...hehehe kasi parang feeling ko di nagwowork eh...i even asked my nurse kung nagcocontractions ba ako hahahaha...dun ko na nafeel yung pain nung malapit na talagang lumabas...hehehe..cutie ang baby mo te. RR- madali lang pag may urge ka na mag push, pero ang contraction ko kasi nag start friday 2am pa na subrang sakit at di ako makatulog tapos my water broke sunday morning pa tapos yan na nagstart ang labor ko na subrang sakit talaga mahina pa ang dilation ko kaya dinala ako ng ospital para bigyan ng Pitocin para bumilis ang dilation ko kasi dapat within 24 hrs mailabas mo ang baby mo after your water broke, lucky you di masyado masakit mabuti pa nga diritso Pitocin kasi usually 6 hrs lang na labor labas agad ang baby, kasi gusto ko sana natural kaso di umubra eh ganyan talaga siguro gusto ng baby ko heheheehhe....	rose19	Female	Philippines	2010-08-15 20:17:00

Philippines	All pregnant Mommies	congrats for the cute little girl...welcome to the sleepless nights!!! pero ok lng nakakapagfb parin tsaka vj..hehe Hay korek sinabi mo pa hahahahaha...pag tulog kasi baby ko ginagawa ko lahat na dapat kung gawin para may time mag chicka, kulang pa rin ang time kasi nag ppump ako ng milk kasi maliit ang baby ko di marunong mag latch kaya tinuturuan pa namin ng lactation consultant sana nga marunong na sya para mas madali na para sa akin, first check-up nya bukas sana nga nag gain na sya ng more weight kasi nag drop sya tapos nag gain na rin sya pero need more pa para bumalik sa born weight nya pero malakas naman sya dumidi pasalamat naman ako, na noticed kahit nga kakadidi lang nya tapos mag poop at pee sya gutom na naman ulit feed na naman kami ulit okey lang ba yon? kasi sabi ko baka ma over feed namin pero di naman nya sini spit ang milk iniinom nya lahat...first visit ba sa pedia vaccine agad or schedule muna ng pedia?	rose19	Female	Philippines	2010-08-15 20:09:00

Oo normal delivery ako at ang labor ko alam mo 29 hrs at nag start ang contraction ko friday 2am nanganak ako monday morning subrang sakit kasi na transfer ako sa hospital from the birth center kasi mabagal ang dilation ko kaya binigyan ako Pitocin OMG subrang sakit parang hihingi na talaga ako ng Epidural pero naka set na ang mind ko kailangan ko syang ilabas without medication and I did the people from the hospital bilib sa akin kasi na kaya kung ilabas with Pitosin without Epidural subrang tapang ko daw at determined na mailabas ko sya, even the midwife from the birth center na nag panganak sa akin di makapaniwala sa akin sabi niya ngayon lang ako naka witness na ganyan katapang na ina for a long long time sa career nya : ) I'm really proud of myself sabi ng asawa ko bakit di mo sinabi sa akin na parang gusto mo na ang pain medication sabi ko kasi kaya ko pa naman awang awa sya sa akin ....	rose19	Female	Philippines	2010-08-12 17:07:00

Philippines	All pregnant Mommies	Hi mga mommies may tanong sana ako sa inyo, im filing now for Report of marriage tapus they asked for Naturalization paper, where can i get those? husband ko is citizen by birth eh ako im only a resident here.,im getting confused about this paper, sa pagkakaintindi ko naturalization paper is the certificate u get when u are granted for citizenship, am i right? please give me some info i really appreciate it. After 2 days, on July 15, my birthday, we came home and that was his first car ride and was sleeping so peacefully and calm. From then on was the start of our journey as a family. From countless sleepless nights, diapers change, knowing what he does and doesn't like, his first smile, his first cooing sounds, his first rolling over, his fist few words ( dada, mama, baba, and he even refers the cat as "tat"), the first time he push himself to sit up, the first time he ate, his first step and now when he gets too excited he wants to run. Everywhere we go he likes to talk to people and flirt with the girls ( why do I have this feeling that I am in big trouble someday? ) Sorry kung masyado akong ma-drama, I just couldn't believe that a year came so fast. Philippines	All pregnant Mommies	hi everyone, i am new here. although i was backreading your posts for weeks now. it's my 17th week! my ultrasound is scheduled on july 22 to identify the gender. my first trimester was awfully bad. i even threw up on my plate (sorry if it's gross). i am so petite. thank God, i gained 5 pounds. i've been buying baby books from amazon and have been watching 16 and pregnant and a baby story for me to at least have an idea on what to expect. anyways, i hope there are some here who can guide me taking baby steps on pregnancy and becoming a mom soon. congrats to those who gave birth! Philippines	All pregnant Mommies	We just came home from the doctor. The baby will be delivered by C-section on July 16th at 7AM. That is just 16 days from now. I work 3rd shift, and will work that night up until 4AM, then drive home and get my wife and bring her to the hospital by 5AM as directed. My mom and dad will be there too. They are in their late 70s. I requested to be off work that night, the 16th, following delivery, our first night as a family with Shen, our baby, then will work the next 2 nights, then off work for 2 days. I will be pretty exhausted I am sure too. Mom will stay at our home for a week and a half after the baby comes, to take care of my wife with me working. Brian in Tennessee Wow that's hard you still to work maybe you request for days off...or you can apply for a Paid Family Leave if you have in your state so that you can have time to spend with your baby? Philippines	All pregnant Mommies	hi rose. sundin mo kung ano gusto mo, lalo na para naman sa baby mo yan. madaming benefits ang breastfeeding both for you and your baby tulad ng proteksyon mula sa mga sakit, allergies, obesity, less din ang posibilidad na mag-diaper rash at constipation, less risk sa SIDS. tapos asyo naman mas mabilis ang paglose ng weight at pag-galing ng sugat mo mula sa pangananak. wala nang masbubuti pa kesa natural na gatas, di ba ikanga eh breastmilk is best for baby. tapos di ka mauubusan kasi ang production ng gatas ay base sa dalas mong magpadede. baby ko kaka-8 months lang, awa ng diyos di pa sinipon/inubo o nilagnat. research mo sa internet madaming info tungkol dito, lalo na sa "laleche.org" good luck and god bless! Philippines	All pregnant Mommies	Even in the RP, vit K shot for a newborn is SOP As for breastfeeding...why does your father-in-law have any say in your decision to breastfeed or not anyway Besides, your baby's health is so much more important than nice-looking boobies, di ba? plus, when your breasts get engorged with milk, they get larger (and perhaps will be more appealing to hubby ). Your milk will start to come in by the 5th day post-delivery, although you will already be secreting that oh-so-important colostrum even before giving birth. If you want to exclusively breastfeed, you may want to let the nursery know your wishes to have the child feed solely from you. Breastmilk is a lot blander than formula...baka kasi mas piliin ng baby yung formula. don't worry that baby isn't getting enough...he will let you know when he's had enough or not. Mind you, newborn babies feed more often than weeks-old infants simply because their stomachs are a lot smaller (think ping-pong ball as max stomach size) Note: a baby's seemingly "big" belly is due to the liver being the largest abdominal organ. Anyway, your newborn will feed about every 1-2 hours, every hour if breastfed as breastmilk is more easily digested than formula. You may consult a lactation consultant while in the hospital for help/instruction on proper latch-on. If you do decide to breastfeed, go ahead and feed baby whenever he wants to feed; the more he feeds from you, the more milk you will produce. And don't forget to load up on fluids (water, if possible) and continue your prenatal vits and iron tabs. If baby is asleep and your breasts are full, pump it out and store it to feed to baby when he wakes up...again to stimulate more milk production. As much as possible, try to feed exclusively with your milk. With Maizy, she was always hungry and I was post-CS so that that darned pain meds kinda messed up my lactation, and the pain of having to move about was REALLY uncomfortable for me so that I couldn't really relax and max my milk production. But I still fed her from the breast when I could; she was probably taking at least 4oz from me. I still supplemented with formula though, despite what my lactation consultant told me. I think she had 1-2 bottles of formula a day and the rest was from me. I did not worry about if she was getting enough or not; her weight and height (both in the 90th %ile) told me that she was. Philippines	All pregnant Mommies	hi mga mommies, kumusta na po kayo lahat? pasensiya na po ngayon lng ulit ako nakadalaw, i was just overwhelmed with everything yung panganganak ko plus the wildfire here in our neighborhood, dont know if u heard about it. Anyway, i finally delivered a healthy baby girl last June 18th @2:02pm weighing 6 lbs and 7oz 19 inches long..i felt soo blessed kc good girl maxado baby ko hindi siya fuzzy or colicky sana hindi magchange. Btw, pano ba mag upload ng pics dito? dont know how yet, i would love to share some pics of my baby Jasmine Nicole Rutledge..ingat po kayo lahat and Thanks sa lahat ng info na sinishare nyo dito..God Bless!! Philippines	All pregnant Mommies	Hello mga mommies tanong ko lang sa mga nagbbreast feed dito, kasi plano ko ring mag breast feed kahit ayaw ng father in law ko kasi daw masisira ang boobs ko LOL at susuplayan daw nya kami ng formula for 1 year pero I don't care basta mag breast feed pa rin ako kasi gusto ko para naman sa baby ko yan eh, nag aalternate ba kayo ng formula while breastfeeding or sufficient ba talaga ang gatas natin for the baby or it depends? at saka yong Vitamin K need ba talaga yon after born ng baby or optional? Philippines	All pregnant Mommies	hello sa lahat, hay busy busy...anyway...musta na ang mga mommies at nawala na ang iba hehehehe...musta na rin ang manganganak na? wag kalimutan post ng pic diti ha pag nanganank na kayo. pink, di pa rin everyday magpoop baby ko...minsan consistent poop nya minsan hindi depende sa kinain nya pero i still feed him almost anything na mabili namin na baby food...about naman sa kulay its dark green...yun ba ibig sabihin nun pag greenish ang poop? tanong lang...ano ba ginawa nung nanay or tatay sa baby na nagka low iron? i mean di pa nila masyadong pinakain or pinadede baby nila? anong naging dahilan na nagka low iron baby nila pink? doc gracey, ganun din baby ko hirap ng damitan lalo na't di na sya nasanay sa damit hahaha...kasi naka diaper lang sya pag lumalabas kami except kung punta kami sa doctor or yung lugar na malamig yun dinadamitan ko sya pero other than that naka diaper lang sya kahit sa store hehehe... meron nga rin akong narinig about sa pamahiin sa buhok or even sa first ag cut nyo ng nails ng baby pero i dont believe sa pamahiin kasi nandito na ako sa US feeling ko malakas yung pamahiin pag nasa pinas ka na maraming naniniwala sa mga pamahiin pati ikaw madadala but sometimes totoo rin nga ang mga pamahiin or i guess nagkakacoincident lang... today ginamit na namin yung wic checks for baby food...i got 32 jars ng baby food at 3 cereals...halos gerber yung kinuha ko kasi wala masyadong beech nut sa store na pinuntahan namin mas lalot namang walang nature goodness... pinili ko rin for my baby is two oatmeal tapos isang rice cereal and kanina pinapakin ko sya ng oatmeal mix with applesauce...i didnt mix the oatmeal with formula kasi feeling ko baka mag iba na ang lasa so i just used water for oatmeal yun nagustuhan naman ng baby ko...naubos nya agad so yun i made one ulit tapos first subo ko hay nag aktong magsuka hehehe buti na lang di sya nagsuka talaga. And just now pinakain ko ulit sya ng oatmeal and he like it though kailangan nga lang dahan dahanin ko kasi he is just starting to get used to the taste ng oatmeal...kasi kung magpakain kasi ako mabilis...subo after subo ako kung magpakain sa kanya para di mapagod sa time for feeding. 6 months na rin baby ko and still enjoying every funny and happy moments nya. hehehe God bless sa lahat.
