It means that something is missing from your petition, and they need that missing 'something' to continue processing your case. An RFE can be anything from a signature missing from a form, to having a document missing like a birth certificate or a divorce decree, or wanting to see more evidence of your relationship. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	August 2009 CSC filers....	Congrats! I have been so busy I had forgotten to update this thread! The little lady and I arrived (after stopping off in Manila for a day) on February 9th. Our POE was Honolulu and due to the size of the flight (300+) we got seated toward the front of the plane so we could disembark quickly and sprint for immigration! We were 2nd in line at immigration and the whole process took only 10 minutes with absolutely zero bumps in the road. I have yet to start the AOS forms...probably will this weekend. We are also planning our wedding (looks like the Hapuna Prince Hotel in the South Kohala district, Big Island, HI) for May 1st, depending on availability. My two daughters are getting nicely acquainted with my fiancee and, well....life is good!!! Yay for being reunited! Im just down the road in arizona, been here 12 days now and loving every second of it, so happy to be back with better half and new born. Marriage and AOS gonna be a few weeks yet though. The weather has been up and down since I got here January 27. It's either been lovely and I've been in shorts and a shirt, or bloody terrible and pouring with rain! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	August 2009 CSC filers....	So Alex and I have been married for a week now...LOVING being Mrs. Alex Got our marriage certificate in the mail today! A word of advice for anyone else getting married in Los Angeles County...take the time to go in person to the Norwalk office of the County Clerk and register your marriage there. If you do it there, and give them an express envelope, you will get your certificate within 10 business days. From what I was told, if you register at any other office, it takes up to eight weeks! I got there at about 8.20 in the morning and was out of there in about ten minutes. We registered our marriage on Thursday and we got the certificate two days later! So making the trip down there was worth it...even though it was two hours on the bus both ways lol. So, looks like we can file for AOS by next week. Documentation regarding financial support can be in any form so long as it contains enough detail and information for the consular officer to conclude that the beneficiary will not become a public charge. You should be fine with what you have. Alex had a lot of trouble getting the letter from Chase, it took them nearly three weeks to do a letter that only said he was their customer and how much he currently had deposited. Astrid, Thanks for the info, I think I will try and get a bank letter at this point if it takes 3 weeks I won't be able to get it in time so I hope that it isn't a issue. Astrid, We received notification that her mom received her packet 3 last week and I faxed her IV/F04 yesterday which will set up getting packet 4 sent to her home. She is here with me in L.A. and we have completed all her forms, 156, 156K and my I-134 affadavid of support. She is flying back on December 6th so I hope that they don't schedule the interview too soon as we don't want her not to be there for it. The plan is for her to get everything done and then get a cheap ticket for me to go over to Poland in late December and for us to fly back sometime early January with the new visa. Do you think it's too ambitious? Maybe we won't get the interview date till January? what do you think? How soon did you recieve your interview date after you sent in your IV/F04? Bernie I think that is a question you need to ask in the Europe or Poland forum. As hdkimo said, each embassy is VERY different. For example, if you look at my timeline, when I sent in P4, I got an interview date for three weeks later. I have heard that the Montreal, Canada embassy is backed up and people are waiting months for interviews. Have you already sent in packet four? If not, wait until she is home, or at least a few days before she goes home before sendng it, to ensure you get an interview while she in in the country. So yeah, I would consult with some Polish members to get a clearer idea of what your journey may pan out like. And don't buy any tickets until you know you have the visa. YOu may have to skip flying back with her to the US, but it will be all worth it in the end. Rongko - I did not have to fill in those forms. If they aren't asked for by the embassy, don't do them. The packet four list that I got just told me to bring my passport, the visa fee receipt and a prepaid envelope with me to the interview, and of course my evidence. Just remember, for the Medical, you just need to get the first of the series, same with AOS, it is up to you to finish them. For example, you can just get the first Gardasil shot before US entry, and then finish it there. As for me, got my police check today, am picking up my medical results tomorrow, and mailing Packet Three express and registered mail to Sydney. According to Packet 3 from the Sydney Consulate, "You must be interviewed and have your visa issued within the four-month validity of your petition." I'm going to list what he sent me, plus what I am considering as bringing as evidence to the interview to our show ongoing relationship. Can you guys give me your opinion on it, what I can skip and what I may be missing? Alex sent me - I-134, filled in and signed HIs most recent Federal and State tax return A letter from his employer, on company letterhead, stating his continued employ there since November 2003, his role at the company and his current salary. Letter from Chase bank, stating how long his account has been open, and his current balance (it's a fax, will it matter?) Three recent paychecks A year's worth of bank statements from WaMu/Chase An etrade printout showing the worth of his stocks The sale agreement of his car, showing it's worth Our NOA1 His Birth Certificate (A certified copy from the LA county clerk, he has never had the 'original') Both the envelopes and notes that I have sent him over the past few months We got our NOA2 hardcopy the day after he sent this to me, so he is sending that, plus an updated letter of intent today. For our proof of ongoing relationship, I'm bringing - Printouts of his Verizon phone bill, showing phonecalls and texts to and from Australia (I'm on vodafone prepaid so I don't have proof...only on my actual phone!) Printouts of our Skype call logs A selection of emails over the time since I came back to Australia (should include all the naughty ones, lol) The notebook with all our wedding planning stuff in it Pics from our engagement party and from my college graduation in June, the last lot of pictures of us together And of course, my copy of our original submission Thankyou for any input you can give me! We're not going to go on our honeymoon right away, because Alex is doing his masters and can't get extended time off. So we are waiting until the summer to take ours, in the hope I will have my AP or even my green card so we can go the the bahamas. If not, it will be hawaii! Then the officer took me into the back of the station and did two sets of prints on me. He poked a bit of fun at me too, since I was wearing a white singlet and pale skirt...not the perfect combo for black ink! But, the outfit remained unscathed After we were done, he told me if I had not heard anything in a month to come in and ask them where it was. Too easy, apart from the $158.45 fee. Grrr.....it annoys me that I was told they couldn't send the police check to me. I could have had it done already! Total cost looks like $481, which includes the Medical, Chest Xray and Blood test. A $100 deposit is required to be paid, nonrefundable and must be paid at least two days before my appointment.
