IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresIV Fee Invoice

Hi, All:

I'm try to follow the Electronic Processing guide on VJ. So far I've done the followings:
1. Called NVC, got case number, and updated both email addresss.
2. Sent OPTIN email with DS-3032. Auto-repl email received
3. AOS invoice received, paid online, status is 'PAID' now.

But I have been waiting to pay the IV fee, the invoice still hasn't been generated. I called NVC, they said they're waiting for the DS-3032. It has been 10 days since I sent the DS-3032 with the OPTIN email. Is this normal? I saw a lot of people in this Forums, didn't wait long to get the IV invoice generated.

Should I sent another DS-3032 to NVC (not to the OPTIN email), so they can generated the IV invoice?

Thanks

David

David, I'm at the same place you are right now.

I had my wife send the OPTIN from china (attachment wasn't sent) on 11/9 and my wife's email address received an auto reply.
I had my wife send the OPTIN from china (with DS-3032 attachment) on 11/10 and my wife's email address received an auto reply.
Was able to pay AOS on 11/10 and portal showed paid on 11/12.

We can't send anything until we have the new case number and you said the OPTIN was done already. One idea is that next week get ahold of operator and say you had some questions about the electronic processing pilot program and if a supervisor could help answer them relating to your case.

I myself was hesitant to have my wife send the second OPTIN in message but becuase the DS-3032 wasn't on the first email she said she could send another one and I said yes. I'm not sure if too many OPTIN messages would create problems. The auto reply for us said not to send additonal OPTIN messages.

During the middle of next week I'm am going to see if they have a new number on record and if they have on record of receiving our DS-3032 on their computer screens. If the first level operator doesn't know maybe a supervisor would.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures3032 Email Template Worked

The NVC accepted my husband's email using the 3032 template in the attached link: http://www.visajourn...l_DS-3032_form. Just need to pay the bill and wait for the decision because we have already sent in everything else. As always, thanks to the info on vj - wish I had seen this link earlier - it's done now, so we are happy. Bill will be paid by Friday.

My Wife and I had great success with the template also. After I prepared the email as a draft on the email account she is using I had her send it from her hotmail account in China. Worked like a Charm!

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresQuestion Filing RFE's for Electronic Processing Cases

I received an email 18 Dec from NVC that documents were missing, and on 20 Dec I received another email that the documents were not missing. Today 23 Dec received an email, they need more 864 documents that I sent. I put the case number at the top right corner of each document I sent, but they still lose things. Todays email says they want a P3 Supplement, Packet 3 Suppplement sheet, what ever that is.

Hi Bob g.,

I got 2 of the same exact RFE checklist email. One that was dated on Dec 14th and was sent after my talk with and NVC operator.

the 2nd RFE check was asking for the same exact thing dated Dec 17th and I received it on Sat.

I ignored the second one becuase I included the checklist pdf with the attachements they were asking from the Dec 14th one and emailed it to NVCElectronic on Dec 17th.

The Packet 3 is a form that was talked about a few times on the forum and Darnell talked about it:

You'll email documents more than once so plural is correct but I'm advising you to send one file per email, so it's perfectly clear what you sent.

I understand what your saying now.

so in my case this is my second checklist email for the same information I sent already to them in the first checklist email and also prior. Both human beings at NVC, the AVR and the checklist letters said the info is missing even though the information has already been sent over the course of weeks.

so I will send them two emails.

One email for the Financial Evidence (my I864EZ documents and other documents I sent in one email) already sent on 11/19, 12/09, and on 12/14

One email for my wife's Norway Police Certificate (that was sent on 11/27 with her IV Packet, and sent on 12/13 and on 12/17.

The operators at NVC told me these documents were missing??? the AVR said these documents were missing ??? and the two checklists that I received said these were missing ???

If I have to send documents 300 times I will. Hopefully it does come to this.

Thank you,

Eric

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresQuestion Filing RFE's for Electronic Processing Cases
So when NVC sends a checklist and is a combination (regular mail process and EP) in one and the correspondence instructions read:

______CORRESPONDENCE INSTRUCTIONS:_________________________________ For electronic processing, all forms and documents that we request and require from you should be scanned and e-mailed to NVC as Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files. The documents should be sent as attachments with your e-mail response and not in a web file. NVC is unable to process documents submitted in web files. Forms and documents should not be mailed through the postal service. The applicant must present all original forms and documents to the Consular officer at the visa interview. Failure to present the required originals at the visa interview will result in a denial or delay in obtaining a visa for the sponsored applicant. Any questions regarding your petition should continue to be directed to NVCElectronic@state.gov _________

Are they are in error stating "The documents should be sent as attachnments" with attachments being plural?

Send a single PDF file including all documents requested, using the cover page as page one of the file. This requires a full version of Adobe to accomplish unless you're scanning multiple printed pages to a single file.

Thank you for your reply. I'm using CutePDF Professional which will be accomplishing the same thing.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresQuestion Filing RFE's for Electronic Processing Cases
Hi Everyone,

Is there any specifics to how RFE's are submitted to NVCElectronic.

My question goes to the Checklist PDF they send from NVCINQUIRY for a EP case.

In an email back to NVCElectronic does one send the coverpage PDF as a seperate attachment along with the missing documentation or embed the coversheet in each of the PDF of the missing documents PDFs or send just one PDF with everything missing along with the coversheet included in the one PDF that may have multiple documents?

Any history RFE submittion(s) from the EP filers both now and in the past would be very helpful.

Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
