K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresAll's Quiet on the VJ front
*sigh* Exactly what I was thinking.

The first thing I do in the morning and the last thing I do before going to bed is to check VJ to see if there are approvals and I freakin hate it when there are none. I like to see things moving... even if it's not my case.

And yeah, I'm also starting to think that December 31 must be a typo. But wait, isn't there a VJ member that got his/ her NOA2 lately (after NOA1 in december)? Oh yes, it was mijndert (NOA1 12-05-2005). Pah, I'll keep on believing that it's not a typo, no matter what my brain keeps telling me!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresEvidence of Relationship
I'd say you're ok with what you already have, but then I'm far from being an expert.

I included pretty much what you did (plus phone bills though) and was approved without problems. I didn't include msn chat transcripts.

But hey, it can't be wrong to include them... so maybe - for your peace of mind - include them.

OK, I admit, I'm not too helpful.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI-134 vs. I-864
I guess this question has been asked and answered a million times, but I'm still so much in shock and awe about yesterday's NOA2 that I seem to forget everything I ever knew about the k-1 process.

OK, so which affidavit form do I need for the interview at my local embassy (Frankfurt, Germany)? I-134 or I-864?

We have a co-sponsor too, which form does he need?

My understanding so far: I need the I-134 filled out by my fiance for the interview and the I-864 for the AOS later in the States. But the co-sponsor... pfffhhh... I have no clue.

All info is really appreciated!

Irritated,
Sandra

It took a while to actually sink in... I was already still in shock from the two touches, that I didn't know what to think! I actually got three copies of their e-mail, so it wasn't hard to miss when I checked my mail!

Wahoo! That's wonderful news, congrats! I KNEW you were up soon, I had this feeling, haha.

I got 3 NOA2 emails too, maybe there's something wrong with their system - not that I complain! ;)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI-134 Affidavit of Support
Yay, my loved one's first post on visajourney! :luv: Welcome! :joy: :joy: :joy:

Yeah, we're really kinda worried about what will happen in case we'll be denied.

But then, we should be fine with Jonnie earning more than 125%.

But then, I'm German, it's in my nature to worry. ARGH!

P.S.: Excellent choice for the avatar pic, Jonnie! :P

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresi-134 question
We're in a similar situation and the good people at VJ told us that we should be fine with earning more than 125%. But - at least for peace of mind - considering a co-sponsor would also be a solution.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWhat would happen?
As the previous posters already stated, it's a VERY risky plan and I can not recommend doing it. You'd have to prove them that it wasn't your intent to marry this man when you entered the States under VWP and I don't think* that all the binding ties to Germany that you could show them and all other evidence could offset the fact that you already petitioned for a K-1 visa (therewith showing an intent to marry).

We all hate to be apart from our loved ones, hate the waiting and the uncertainties... but it will all be worth it in the end!!!

I wish you all the best!

Sandra

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWhat kind of photos for evidence?
Like many others, we had pictures taken on a digital camera and printed off.

We also forgot to write names and dates on their backs and were approved without problems. Well, I totally recommend writing the info on the back (!!!) but I guess the fact that the CSC wasn't too strict on us for forgetting it could be a proof for what roi_aggie said (that pics are only a secondary form of evidence).

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCalifornia Service Center any signs of life?
I know how you're feeling - it drove me crazy to wait for any sign of life from the CSC while others from Vermont were getting approved in no time. But the other posters are right, though it might seem like forever, the date hasn't been on dec 31 for THAT long.

It helped me quite a bit to be on the CSC/TSC Unite! waiting list thread over on the "General Discussion" forum ( http://www.visajourn...topic=57&st=210 ). So I could always see if others with a NOA1 date close to mine were getting approved (or not).

Greetz,

I went through CSC, so I'm not 100% sure if this is the correct adress, but that's what I found... :

U.S. Department of Homeland Security
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services
Vermont Service Center
75 Lower Welden St.
Saint Albans, Vermont 05479

Hi Paul!

A very important factor about how fast a k-1 visa is processed is the Service Center you're going through. Where in the States are you?

Ah, it makes me mad to read about such morons!!!! I CAN NOT understand why people have to be so mean!

But as the previous posters already said, they're probably just jealous and have their own issues, DON'T LISTEN TO THEM! You know the truth and they don't.
