IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - August 2014	Guys someone who has their I-864 approved please clarify my doubt,   My wife a USC living in California, has never worked, does not make any income and has never filed taxes. We submitted our I - 864, 2 weeks back along with a joint sponsor who makes well above the income guidelines....   Since my wife never worked and filed taxes, we submitted a signed letter stating she is unemployed and does not have any income. Along with the letter we also submitted an IRS VERIFICATION OF NON FILING LETTER (4506-T) for the last 3 years 2011, 2012 and 2013. I hope this will suffice the NVC no tax filed requirement....   Since my wife technically does not have any IRS tax return form 1040, 1040EZ  nor any income reported to IRS for any of the years, in the I-864 form, under Part 6, Sponsor's Income and employment we have marked 'N/A' for the tax years 13a,b and c and 'N/A' for the total income 13a1,b1 and c1. Like I said we have submitted a signed letter stating she is unemployed and does not have any income. And the IRS VERIFICATION OF NON FILING LETTER (4506-T) for the last 3 years 2011, 2012 and 2013 clearly states "We do not have any record of any filed form 1040, 1040A or 1040EZ for your social security number"   Do you think it will be an issue since we have filled the Part 6, tax years and total income with 'N/A' instead of  '0'? Will my wife's explanation letter along with the IRS verification of non filing not suffice? Some one please give me your views...   So it appears that there is a diverse point of view on how this question needs to be answered... '0', 'N/A' and 'Not required to file'.... IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - August 2014	OMG   How are you still at the NVC?????   OMG I feel for you !!!   Hey Love My Tico, So nice to hear from you and extremely happy that you are finally together with your husband..... My best wishes to both of you......   Yes, it's true I'm still stuck at NVC, but to be honest the problem was from our end and not NVC.... An unexpected delay at the last moment by our joint sponsor in getting his AOS papers ready, and here I am still stuck up at NVC...... Sheer "Bad Luck", what else can I say. Amidst all the tears, pain and mental agony which words cannot describe finally we managed to submit our AOS package on July 30th and that has brought me into VJ again after nearly 3 months. So now the wait continues.............   You and me started this process together last year, and not many know what all you had to go through as well as I do...... I can say by now I have atleast half of your 'Never Say Die Attitude' and this nightmare of a process has made me and my spouse a lot more stronger....   Shall surely convey the good news once I am out of NVC and once again please convey my regards to your family.... Spoke to NVC and got it confirmed that it's a false checklist and my IV Package has been reviewed and accepted today. It's exactly 30 business days since my IV Package scan date of July 1st. So the biggest hurdle yet to be crossed.... Waiting 17 months here and have seen husband only twice in this entire time, since our marriage. Total time spent with husband is less than a month, missed anniversary, birthdays, festivals...   Same here.... Applied April 30 2013............ 16 months of waiting......... WOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!. Waiting for NOA2 hard copies now. Both had the same PD, (separate petitions though) PD june 12th Transfer to CSC December 23rd (Seems like CSC is the fastest uscis service center) NOA2 January 9th Wishing good luck to everyone still waiting. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	The NVC Moral Support/Ranting Thread	Guys we received my AOS checklist email today for Part 3 item 7 and the checklist was in the name of the petitioner.. We have a joint sponsor. When we checked the petitioner's (my wife) I 864 we found that Part 3 item 7 was correct. When we checked our joint sponsor's form we immediately noticed that Part 3 item 7 was wrong. Instead of 1 my joint sponsor had mentioned 0 in Part 3 item 7. So we corrected my joint sponsor's I 864 and will be mailing it today. If you are sponsoring only one person then what you filled is correct. What you entered on item 7 part 3 is correct. Maybe there's something else wrong with the form of your joint sponsor. If NVC is referring to item 7 part 3 then you should speak with a supervisor.   Thanks for your reply EOC4ever.... My wife is the petitioner and she is sponsoring only 1 person. Two NVC reps have confirmed that there is only one correction in Part 3 item 7. Everything else is correct. My AOS was reviewed yesterday and I have a checklist coming to my email....   The error is in Part 3, Item 7 "Enter the total number of immigrants you are sponsoring on this form from Items 1 through 6"). I have entered 1 for Item 7 under Part 3 since I have marked 'Yes' for item 1 under Part 3("I am sponsoring the principal immigrant named in Part 2"). IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	The NVC Moral Support/Ranting Thread	Spoke to Reese and what a B she is said I DO NOT HAVE A CASE COMPLETE  that it's under Supervisor Review to get it complete and can take up to 30 days to get this done.  But she didn't think it would take that long.        I called again right away and spoke to Torry nicer but of no help and said the same your case is not Case Complete and it's in the hands of a Supervisor asked if I could talk to them the obvious NO we are not in the same department and they don't take calls.          This is the reason I hesitated to say I had a Case Complete, right now my heart sank to my feet and all I can do is sit there and stare at the VJ page.  I should have known better but of course I let my guard down and let myself believe this was almost over with.   God only knows how long this will take a day or weeks.  God be with us all.       Even to those who are lurking and happy to see this, I wish you no harm but a speedy process.   Oh my god Soloenta!!! I find this difficult to even read.... This is absolute B**S**!!! from NVC.... You surely must find a way to speak to a supervisor and get this cleared (Give them the name of the NVC reps and supervisors who confirmed your CC over phone last week).... Stay strong buddy. A lot of speculation isn't it, and why not when you are dealing with NVC..... I don't know if I have a checklist coming but here is how the call went.    I give her my case number and clearly hear her tapping her keyboard.... In a moment almost instantly she tells me, "I see your AOS was received on July the 30th and it's not been reviewed yet". I once again ask her "So it's not yet been reviewed yet right?" and she replied "Yes it's not been reviewed it." I say "oh ok".. It's then she told me "NVC communicates by email, and you need to keep an eye on your email" I said "I surely will do that". She asked me "anything else". Its under my name (the petitioner) but I havent been working nor living in the us for the past 5 years so havent filed any taxes.I included a letter stating my situation so I dont understand why they would want this from me???   I got a checklist today for Part 3 item 7 and the checklist was in the name of the petitioner.. We too have a joint sponsor. When we checked the petitioner's (my wife) I 864 we found that Part 3 item 7 was correct. When we checked our joint sponsor's form we immediately noticed that Part 3 item 7 was wrong. Instead of 1 my joint sponsor had mentioned 0 in Part 3 item 7. So we corrected my joint sponsor's I 864 and will be mailing it today. My understanding is these days even the names on the checklist's are messed up and we need to apply logic while sending in the corrections....   Going by your case you have mentioned that you have no income and never filed taxes. So obviously you would have mentioned 0 income under Part 6 item 13 in the petitioner's I864 form. It's your joint sponsor who would have reported his income from his tax forms under Part 6 item 13 of his I864 form. So you need to compare his income stated on his IRS form and check if he has mentioned the correct amount in Part 6 item 13 and correct it. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - September 2014	Can anyone else confirm this because I submitted DS-260 on August 6 and my AOS and IV packages scan date is August 8. The NVC rep told me to wait 60 days from August 8. Maybe they review DS260 with AOS and IV packages whether it is submitted at a later date or an earlier date. Also, the 60-day emails mention the last document scan date and ask to wait 60 days from that date.   As you know the DS-260 is an electronic form and scan date does not apply to it. Scan date applies only for the documents that we mail to NVC like your AOS and IV package. So the 60 day wait starts from the last scan date of your AOS and/or IV package.   Hope this answers your question.	anuspras	Male	India	2014-09-14 22:00:00
