I did the form with the info of my tax return form from PR and sent the explication about we dont fill federal return tax form..... And i sent copy of everything of my incomes and taxes

Hi everyone!!!

We receive the package of instructions and now suppouse fill the I-864 for complete the case in the NVC. But we have doubts bcz in PUERTO RICO we dont fill the FEDERAL TAX RETURN FORM... our Island has our own Tax return form.

So, How we would complete this form? We didnt see anything about that detail in the instructions or any website for get more info.
If anyone knows about this point, we will appreciate all the information about it.

Hey, Filed my K1 Visa to the Vermont station on Nov. 27, it arrived Nov. 29 and today is Dec 30, so it has been 1 month, i'm wondering what number to do i call do find out what is the status of my petition since i never recieved a NOA1 in the mail. I paid with a money order and i don't understand what number I should give if they ask me for a case number. So can someone help with with which number to call and what case number to use. For example, I am moving to Puerto Rico, my fiance lives there, but the person on the Affadavit of Support lives in New York. Is that fine? Or does it have to be someone who lives where they live? We are using a joint-sponsor who has 5 in his household, which the poverty line for 5 is $32, 237 and he made $35, 000 last year, and the years before over $40, 000. He has no mortgage as his house is paid off. Do you think they will accept this or not?

Our application went off to the Vermont Station, and it's being applied for Fiance in Canada. Sent on Nov. 27, arrived Nov. 29, it's now Dec 21 and no NOA, when I see that most got an NOA in a matter of Days. I don't know if something has gone wrong?

I wouldn't really worry about paperwork right now, but if you want, you can take a look at the Package 3 paperwork.
If you go to the Wiki at the top and find Canada's page, there should be some info about which paperwork you need to fill out through the Package 3 link.

MMR is not the same as the chickenpox vaccination btw, not sure why they told you that :huh:

Generally a panel physician will take your word for it that you have had the chicken pox vaccine or had chicken pox. For all the others you will need to provide proof.

What exactly do i need else, cause i called my doc's office and they told me that I the MMR combination is the same as the chikenpox (varicella) vaccine. I believe birth certificates differ in every country - as long as it's "official" / "certified", there shouldn't be a problem. I think they only require a photocopy but you can bring the original just in case :)

I have my birth certificate from my country, they do not offer a "long form" just a nomral 8*11 but it has my parents name on the fron and all the birth info and on the back the stamps of approval. Will that be fine since it's not the "long form"? And if it is what do you bring to the interview, the original or a photocopy? Thanks :thumbs:

I'm a little confused - Your going through the Montreal Consulate and your finace is in Puerto Rico.

The fiance in Puerto Rico is the USC and you are the fiancee in Canada (do I have this right).

Umm - just to get this straight - a fiance is he, a fiancee is she. Anyway...

The I129F packet will go to the NVC and they will assign a case number and send it to the beneficiary in Canada. After the NVC sends it the USC should receive a letter with the case number and that it has been sent off to the consulate.

The beneficiary will receive instructions from the consulate on what forms to complete and send next and in addition there will be instructions on what things to do to prepare for the interview.

There will be some things the USC will need to prepare and send to the beneficiary such as I-134 Affidavit if Support and supporting documents, Original and Copy of the USC Birth Certificate, etc. You will want to start working on these now and not wait until you receive packet 4.

Haha, Sorry for not explaining this well. Well The Petitioner is the USC in Puerto Rico and I am the beneficiary in Canada. She is petioning for me, but i'm the one getting the info because she doesn't speak english, she has been in PR her whole life. So she is petitioning for the man :lol:

But thanks for getting back to me, I will start working on these things right away. Just for my information, the Affadavit of Support will be needed for the Interview only correct? Or will we needed it before?

Hey guys, i'm thrilled to say that March 31st or NOA2 was approved. NOA1 got there Nov.30, so it was about 4 months, not bad. Just wondering what is the next step. They will mail a packet to my fiance in Puerto Rico and then she will mail that back to me with what i have to do, now how does everything get to the Visa Center? Is she going to have to mail things there, or is it the Vermont Service Center? Thank you.
