I called USCIS about a job change near our NA02 date . The person on the phone said I needed to send in a copy of the I-134 to the USCIS . Is this true ? I know a signed copy goes to the beneficiary for the US embassy interview .

I think you should be fine as long as you have the latest pay stubs just in case.

Fiance Visa Problem... Help!!!

Yeah when he comes home 2011 before our very first broke up. What about the proof that the CO will ask me. I have problem about the telephone bill because we use calling cards please help...

I use calling cards and in my phone statement it shows this 1-800 number, I printed, highlighted it and attached one paragraph letter explaining the calling cards

Where did you gether the documents before you sent them to the USCIS?? folder? Binder??

I used a cover letter and had all the required documents in order. I believe once they receive the package they open it and scan it. So you might want to make it easier on them

Can someone just check I have everything?

Just about to send off our K-1 stuff, but just want to make sure that we aren't missing anything obvious.

So far we have:

i-129f form

g-325a x2 (we haven't signed the bottom black box, because unsure if we have to or not, if someone could clear that up for me that would be awesome- I dont have an alien registration number which is why we are unsure if either of us should sign it. I am the foreign citizen, she is usc)

The electronic notice form

9x photos over a period of our relationship

all the flight itineraries from all trips to America and her trip here.

facebook log from beginning of relationship

skype log for past year...we both have new laptops, and couldn't figure out a way to go any further back

passport photo of each of us with the g-325a form

color copies of my passport visa's and identification page

copy of her birth certificate

cover letter

letter of intent, and ability to marry each other within 90 days of me entering country from both of us

statement on how we met, and progressed our relationship

Does anyone see anything we are missing?

Church ceremony before marriage for K1 ????

I have a question regarding church ceremonies with k1 before marriage. First of all my fiance got her k1 visa already stamped in her passport and we already bought the tickets. I would like to go back to my country and celebrate with our family and friends before she comes to USA. I would also like to get married in the church in my country before she comes here. I know K1 visa is a fiance visa however I just want to confirm that as long as we are not married legally (with papers) it is ok to have a little ceremony in church. Church can give a certificate saying we are married but it is not a legal document. Do you guys think it would be a problem once she gets here? Perhaps problems at POE? Does anyone here did something similar?

I just want to point out in my country legally we will not be married by having a ceremony in church.

Its very obvious this guy is only with you because he wants to use you to get over here so so desperate and its a shame. My only advice to you is to run for your life, you can do better because when he gets over here, he will endure for maybe 2 or 3 years and once he gets his green card or becomes a citizen he will disappear and marry someone his age. Nigeria men are not stupid and no reasonable Nigerian man who wants to be with a woman who is 40 years older than him, a woman that can't give him children only if he wants something from that woman. iF your the man and his the woman maybe ya. The CO will know its for immigration purpose only and deny it but you never know, miracles do happen so goodluck.

Enter to US with Visa K-1

My fiancee entered USA with K1 visa 4 days ago. She also had a sealed package, however it was opened at the passport control. I don't think you are suppose to deliver it, I think they will ask for it and POE. If you are not sure, ask them in the airport

It shouldn't matter, once you pass the interview and have K1 visa in your passport you can come to US by land or air

you work for csc? there is a way for a print out that i heard has everything that they need: ssn number, start date,hourly pay, ytd, and 2011 total pay since you started:
it under imigration verifcation.

Employment Verification

Hello,

My employer will not provide a letter on company letterhead because they have all employee's using a website called Work Number. Through the website, I can request employment and income verification. The website will provide a PIN# & phone number that I can provide to whomever needs this information. I've asked the HR department if it's at all possible to get this information typed up on a letterhead and they told me 'No.' I make well over the 125% poverty line so I don't have a problem with meeting the income requirement.

Has anyone experienced this before? Or have any advice?

Denied k-1 for past CCP?

They did deny her past K-1 because of the CCP issue. (see http://www.inadmissi...nfo/212a3D.html) They asked us if we had a qualifying relationship that might excuse her from the inadmissibility (ie. INA212(a)(3)(d)(iv)). I told them we hadn't married yet, so no. The consulate recommended that we get married and apply for the CR-1. So, it sounds like we get an extra several months in AP automatically for the CCP background check?

Should I Frontload a Waiver???

My Chinese wife and I are applying for the CR-1 visa. I just got my case number. If my wife was a China Communist Party (CCP) member, but quit 3 years ago, should I frontload an I-601 waiver with my other NVC forms? Submit the I-601 later and when? Or just not submit it at all? Also, my wife was denied a K-1 visa for being a CCP member, but USCIS basically told us to get married and do the CR-1. What to do?

how can we make things go faster?

Me and my wife was thinking. Would it be faster if we got a lawyer? Or could we do it alone with out a lawyer? Sent we are marry in Cebu. Would that make things easier for us?

Lawyers only really help when expertise is needed in special cases, like your spouse has a criminal history or was a former member of the communist party. The EP process has especially made it easy for individuals to file for themselves without the help of a lawyer.

Questions for K-1 process after noa1 but before noa 2.

1. We used a notarized copy of the birth certificate for the interview.

2. We waited until NOA2 to make sure the information was fresh. If it's within 1 month, then you should be okay.

3. I'm not sure about the Phililppines, as our K-1 was for China, but we used an official bank printed statement. If it's an online bank, maybe they can mail you an official letter, if you ask them?

How to support your partner during Processing wait time

She's a lot like my wife. Fortunately, there's a lot you can do to help her by taking her mind off of the visa process. A bit of an emotional bait-and-switch, if you will. How about a list of ideas? I'm sure at least one of them will be useful to you:

Think of it like an extended business trip (it will be over soon)
Make plans to visit every month or two (you'll be so busy planning for the next trip, you have no time to feel depressed!)
Call on video chat everyday
Play games online together
Turn that negative energy towards the visa process and work hard at it (my personal favorite!)
Work more hours (it helps take your mind off of the visa and helps your career)
Hang out with singles (and not couples) when you're feeling down
Get some other friends besides your significant other
Think of it like the longest bachelor(ette) party ever
Get on a social network together and post about your life
Be understanding and full of forgiveness
Read a book together
Better yet, read a book about relationships
Finish the pre-marital counseling while you wait
Harass the USCIS/NVC! (a favorite VJ pastime )
Make mutual friends and communicate with them regularly (social network helps here)
Learn your significant other's language (it's like working on your relationship, and the screw ups make for funny Skype dates)
Write a song for your significant other and perform it for her on YouTube (Youku for China)
Get your company to sponsor a business trip to your significant other's country
Take a vacation to another country exotic enough for both of you (helps you realize your similarities)
Have your significant other help you overcome a bad habit of yours (e.g. asked my wife everyday, "did you watch TV more than an hour today?")

Long distance doesn't mean you have to stop your life together. It just means you have to find different ways of connecting besides the physical connection normal couples have. Get creative!

Should we get a website?

I would only provide a few pictures from each category within the last 2 years showing:

you together with your significant other
you two with family
you two with mutual friends

...and provide the names of all of them, as well as dates. Also, provide your travel documents. I submitted reams of Skype chat logs for my K-1 evidence, and I think it actually delayed my case.

Noa 2 : middle name incorrect

The petitioner's name is not as important as the beneficiary is the one that will be issued a visa. Also the first and last name need to be accurate as the middle name is not considered as part of the official name--on US documents. If it was the beneficiary's name, it can be corrected by the Embassy/Consulate at the time of interview and issuing of the visa as the name on the visa must match the name on the passport in which it is attached. I would not worry about it too much.

Noa 2 : middle name incorrect

Hello I also have a similar situation. On my I 129 the middle and last name was switched. I called the 1 800 number they took my information down in there computer then they sent me an email stating that they will change it if they see it to be nessary. Did they ask u for your email address? Wait a few days and keep checking your email to see if they sent an answer.

No they dont ask for my email.. He said we will receive a mail wait for 30days.. What happen after they fix yours?

Noa 2 : middle name incorrect

We received NOA2 hard copy today, we notice that petitioner middle name is incorrect instead of ROMUA its ROMUS written. We call USCIS they told us maybe its typo error no need to worry they will send us notice if they already change it. I'm just worried what will happen if they already transfer our case in NVC does will affect anything like processing time? What if they forwarded already the wrong NOA2? Help meee.... I know that for I-864 Affidavits of Support, the usual and required guidelines are for 125% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. What I'm not yet clear on, however, is if that requirement and that information being asked is for *before-tax* earnings, or for *after-tax* earnings?

One other thing, my joint sponor can't access the IRS website for transcript and we might have to order them or go into the IRS office. What I wanted to ask was once we get the IV fee can we send in the IV documents first and once transcripts come in we send those in? Or does it have to be in a specific order?

1) doesn't matter

2) put the bar coded cover sheet on top of the entire bit. Include EVERYTHING in one envelope. Mail. There is absolutely no need to put your joint sponsor's in a separate envelope, just include it with yours. Use a cover letter to detail what exactly is in the AOS and put this under the bar coded cover sheet.

So I got the first part down.

But need to confirm if

1) I-864 is all caps or not. Cause depending if its caps or not it changes the bar code on the form.

2) I have a joint sponsor how should I organize the papers mines and joint sponsors. And when I submit them, I put a bar coded sheet over my stuff and put in envelope and do I make a 2nd envelope with bar coded sheet and put in another envelope for joint sponsor?

Urgent Question

I'm filling out my I-864, under Part 5 - Household Sponsor Size. It says do no count anyone twice, but it says number of persons your sponsoring which I put "1" for my wife, but then it says "Persons NOT sponsored in this affidavit", I put a "1" for myself, below that it says if married put "1". If I do that, it makes my household size "3" and not "2" please help, what should I do?
