EVERY petition goes through NVC. Every NOA2 has that wording on it. The petitions have to go through NVC to get the new case number.



That is correct. I was told by USCIS operator that mine was sent directly to the Consulate. That wasn't the case. A week later it was sent to NVC. So don't believe them if they tell you your case can bypass the NVC.

This has been an emotional roller coaster ride for us all, eh? Financially it can be tough too. I'm in the process of preparing for our new life together when she arrives. I'm about to move into our new home at the beginning of December. I was hoping that she would be here and we can go shopping together to furnish our home. We all know how women loves home decorating. hehe biggrin.gif But it looks like I will have to wait. I guess I can start out by getting all the misc stuffs. smile.gif

The holiday season is what keeps stabbing my heart...the thought of not being with her almost pulls a tear out of me....and as each day passes it really becomes harder and harder to envision the holidays together...so depressing... sad.gif


Yup, last year I went to spent Christmas with her. I had told her that next year we'll spend it together in the US. It just pains me to find out now that this won't happen and to make it worst we won't be able to spend it this year together at all. The next time I can go back is when she has her interview. Hopefully it will be a success so we can come back home together.

Im really starting to fade with the optimism.....tonight i feel depressed because this whole thing is out of my hands and i cant do a damn thing about it....Tonight is one of those nights that it is killing me really bad...I would give anything to hear Leidy's voice or her son running around...instead all i here is this silence that seems soooo loud and torturing!!! That's why I have not been back to visit my fiance in Thailand, even though I have been tempted very much to do so. The problem is that emotionally it would be extemely hard for me (and her) to leave each again, so I chose to wait until she has her interview before I go back. We both told each other that the next time I come, we will never be apart again, ever.

I wish I could give you more comfort than my words but just keep telling yourself your approval will come soon. Hang in there Byron, not only for yourself but for your fiancee also. Good luck!!



In the same boat and understand the feeling. By the time I go back for my fiancee's interview it will be a year since I last saw her (assuming the interview will be in Feb 08). It's a long and stressful process, but I keep telling myself and to her that in the end it will be well worth it and that it will make our relationship much stronger. Hang in there guys. I saw a couple of VJ members called today and got the news that the NVC received their cases on 11/2 so I did the same. The lady told me they received it on 11/2. I was positive that your case was there. I'm hoping that maybe they haven't gotten around to entered the rest of the cases into the system since they came by the thousands. Maybe you can try to call back in a couple of days. That's the only other explanation I can think of right now.

Hi everyone! Well it all worked just like they said it would on VisaJourney! Nichaphat had her interview 29 Nov, the interviewer asked a few creampuff questions like when we met, and it was approved. As my State Department friend told me, as long as you aren't a criminal, have a legitimate relationship, have the financial means, haven't committed visa fraud, pass the medcial, etc., they really have no grounds to refuse you. Nichaphat went home that afternoon, and back to Bangkok yesterday to pick up her visa. She had to go back in person for additional instructions about entering the U.S. They wouldn't mail the visa to her or let anyone else pick it up. I am flying over there on Saturday and we'll come back together in a week.

Good news everyone! My packet 4 just arrived in my address in the province (lucena city, quezon).
