How long is average timing to receive the hard copy of NOA2? I was approved on October 29 and did not receive my hard copy during the week. I also never received a confirmation E-mail, but my online case status shows approved on October 29.


Usually it's within 7 days after a case is approved. From following the VJ members here I've seen in some cases that a few did not receive their NOA2 hard copies so they ended up calling USCIS to try and get a replacement copy. USCIS will give you the "it can take up to 30-45 days" speech and ask you to call back after the 45 days mark. In some cases, they will tell you that it's going to cost you $ to get another copy. I don't remember the exact price, but I know it was insanely rediculous. I hope you will receive your NOA2 soon in the mail.

I also hope that they have sent your case to NVC, and the touch was not due to your phone call to them earlier.
My NOA2 is close to your, but I have not got any touch. I have called NVC everyday but always got the same response that NVC has not recieved my case.

At first I was excited to see that I got touched. So much has been on my mind that I completely forgot that the touch was due to my phone call on Wednesday. Then I was bum out. After lunch I decided to call USCIS just to check up again. That's when I found out that our case was sent out yesterday. I hope they're not pulling my legs again because I've been lied to twice.

2007K1, I hope that your case was included in this crate. Your NOA2 was only 1 day from mine.

I got a touch on Wednesday and Thursday. I am hoping our petitions were sent to NVC.



afterforever, I just called USCIS via RFE line. The lady told me that yesterday a large crate of NOA2 was sent out, our case was included. She explained to me that they used to send these NOA2 one-by-one before, but then some of them ended up getting lost. So what they're doing now is to wait until the crate is filled up with NOA2, by the thousands before shipping them out. I am hoping that the crate that was sent out yesterday inlcuded yours and everyone else that was Approved from the end of September to end of October time frame.

She also mentioned that it could take up to 30 days for these NOA2 to be keyed into the system once NVC receives them because they come in thousands. She told me to call NVC after 2 weeks to see if it's been entered into their system. That's the latest update I can give everyone. Have a great weekend everyone!!

Man I hear you! I'm at the point now where I would take vacation from work, fly to CSC, then fly to Portsmouth and hand deliver the thing if they would let me! And no, I'm not kidding either, I would do it in a heartbeat! This is so ridiculous. If their "contractor" is having problems delivering all the petitions then get a new contractor or hire more contractors on a temp basis to get caught up. And just think, we pay our taxes to fund this kind of mistreatment and incompetence. mad.gif



I agree with you. If they allow us to do so wouldn't it be funny if we all go there together, pound on their doors, take our petitions and hand delivered it to the NVC. If that doesn't prove our love for our mates then I don't know what is. laughing.gif

I've emailed my state senator and sent a copy of my NOA2 to NVC today. I just got off the phone with NVC and they said usually it takes 2-4 weeks, BUT can take up to 90 days. 90 days to just forward an already approved petition??? This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard!!! mad.gif

I'm jumping on board for the ride. My NOA2 was on Sept. 28. Just for the heck of it I called NVC yesterday and of course it's not there yet. The lady I talked to seemed nice. She told me it takes anywhere from 2-4 weeks and told me to call back at the end of the month. blink.gif
