IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Interview today, thank God, AOS Approved	Hi! I've been reading posts here, but it's my first time to post. Visa Journey has helped me all throughout my application. I had my AOS interview today and thank God, I was approved. The interview lasted for 30 minutes. Me and my husband were both interviewed. The interviewer asks us about how we met, the wedding and some facts from the application form that we had submitted. It's easy, just be prepared with all the documentations. Marife had her interview yesterday and she was approved her K1 Visa. But it came with 1 condition, I had to submit a letter indicating I had knowledge she has children. I mailed it today by Fedex, it should arrive there by Saturday and she will return it to the Embassy on Monday. According to the Embassy, as soon as they receive this notarized statement from me, they will release the Visa to her. Oh, in case you are wondering why we have this requirement, I had made a mistake on the petition and I indicated she did not have children, it will cost us about a 1 week delay in receiving the Visa. The lady then proceeded to tell me to allow 4-6 weeks for the case to be transferred to the Consulate. 5 weeks waited to have it forwarded from USCIS to NVC. I got touched on the 1st also. When I called, they told me my petition was still in the staging area waiting to be shipped. I am hoping they were wrong and it was shipped on the 1st, thus the touch. Hi afterforever. I've made a call to USCIS on Wednesday (10/31) and the guy told me that it was still in the staging area and that he will put in an inquiry to have our case sent out right away. He said he was going to call me to let me know the status. Yesterday (11/2) I looked at the website and saw a touched on 11/1. I totally forgot that the touch was due to the call I made from the day before. I thought to myself maybe they did send it out so I called USCIS again and the lady told me that our case was sent out on 11/1. From what she told me, a large crate filled with NOA2 (by the thousands) was shipped out. If you got a touch on 11/1 then it could be that your case was also included in that crate. I'm hoping that yours and everyone else that just got approved made it in that batch. Or else you would have to wait until the next crate of NOA2 gets filled up. So it looks like the average time to get a crate filled up is between 4-5 weeks. Ours took 34 days. Again, I hope that yours made it the same trip from that touch. The guy I talked to this morning said that they're having problems with the Mailing Contractors and that the petition could be at the Staging Area for "up to 90 days." It was only when I talked to a lady at NVC this morning that she asked me if I know the name of the person who provided me with the wrong info. So, I'm sure you can ask them for their name and I believe the automated response did say something like "your call may be monitored/recorded for quality assurance purposes." I guess if they really want to look into who's giving the wrong info they can always go back and listen to the recordings. Unfortunately, I did not note down the name, but I will from now on.
