IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresI-864 Question
Good Evening,

I have a quick question regarding question #25 on form I-864. I will be using a co-sponsor (my sister) who filed jointly with her husband. I will only be using the income of my sister and not my brother in law. Since they filed jointly, I will be including my sister's W-2 along with their joint tax transcript for the most recent tax year in order to show her annual income alone. Now, on question #25 it asks one to list their total income for the past 3 years. I can fill last years easily as it shows her individual income on her W-2. Unfortunately she does not have her W-2's for the other two years. What would I be putting down for the other two years?

Thanks for any advice.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresEarly March filer still not approved
Early March filers, don't give up!!!! I just noticed an e-mail from CRIS that my I-130 was approved on July 17!!! This is good news for all the early March filers who were beginning to think we were left behind. Hopefully this signals that the rest of you will get approvals coming your way. The only touch I had before the approval was back on March 12th.

I'm in the same boat as everyone here. Sent my I-130 on March 4th and received NOA1 dated March 10th. The only touch I have has been on March 12th and nothing since then. My wife keeps asking when we will get an approval since she's seen the spreadsheet and late March filers have gotten their NOA2 already. I don't know what to tell her, I wonder why early March filers haven't received anything. Hope we all hear something soon!

I received an unexpected surprise today! An e-mail from CRIS, we got approved!!! kicking.gif kicking.gif kicking.gif
Apparently, we got approved last night. The e-mail came in around 9 pm (PST) but didn't notice it until today. I hope this is a good sign for all those other March filers (mostly the early ones left) that approvals are coming your way! Don't lose hope!

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresQuestion regarding physical results.
Hi,

My wife just received her results from her physical and was concerned about a box that was checked in the immunization record sheet.
Under "2. Results," "Vaccine history is incomplete" is checked. Then under that, "applicant may be eligible for blanket waivers because vaccination(s) not medically appropriate (as indicated above)"

There are 10 total vaccines that he checked, all with the reason of "Not age appropriate."

The vaccines are:

DT or DTP or DTaP
Polio
Rotavirus
Hib
Hepatitis A
Hepatitis B
meningococcal
Zoster
Pneumococcal
Influenza

My wife has no vaccination record from China so she had to get titer tested for most. She only needed to get the HPV vaccine at the physical. I'm assuming these are vaccines that are given to kids hence the "not age appropriate." Am I correct? Is there anything to worry about going forward to the interview?

Thanks for any help.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reportsvisa denied

Today I am just returning from Casablanca Morocco. His visa was denied. We both so heart broken. I know this is not the reason, however they asked what kind of medicine I am on. He said he was not sure of name. The man for interview said to bad, your denied. No reason given to him. We just don't understand. Planning to get married soon and apply for the visa 3k. ARGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH this is so heart breaking.

I am SO sorry to hear about your SO's denial in Casablanca. My SO and I await his interview. I cannot imagine being in your shoes, but I know I must be ready as it is so common. Blessings to your endeavors from here on out. Yes, do veer toward the marriage VISA; it offers so much more and is the frequent next step after a K-1 denial.

My questions are:

1. When you mention medications, are you saying USCIS knew about your condition from YOU, the petitioner, due to your changed flight?

2. How many times have you visited Morocco to be with your SO prior to the interview? How long was your relationship prior to the interview?

3. This is the ONLY question that your SO could identify as the snafu in the interview? How is his English? Was he comfortable answering their harsh interrogation in general?

Well, I wish you both the best.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsK-1 I129F Wait Time

Welcome to the forum.

You have put the incorrect information in your timeline and on your profile, and you need to correct it to get relevant statistics. You sent your I-129F petition to the Dallas Texas lockbox facility, not the Texas Service Center. The lockbox facility receives and sorts the petitions to either the WAC or the EAC. The Texas Service Center does not adjudicate K-1 visa petitions. Your I797c (NOA1) notice will have a receipt number beginning with WAC or EAC, WAC = California Service Center, EAC = Vermont Service Center, change your information accordingly.

Barring any RFEs or other unforeseen problems, you may get your K-1 visa in December 2012 or January 2013.

Good luck on your visa journey.

OOOOOHHHH!!!

I see it!
I changed it!
I hope the estimates are right and it all about this autumn!
The wait, of course, is killing us.

But the next six weeks together will be just the fuel we need.

Thank you so much for your generous information so that I could right my course.
it left me with a little increased hopes.

Therefore, I hope for you that word come soon, soon, soon!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsK-1 I129F Wait Time
Hello VJ-ers...

Best of luck to ALL of you in surviving the process with your sanity intact.

My current concern is, having received NOA1 on April 2 2012, we are now in the wait for the NOA2, of course.
VJ and even National Averages listed at USCIS and also the dates and wait times on the timelines of others dealing with our same consulate ALL say 5 months (approx. of course).

HOWEVER
when I use the USCIS toggle system for estimates on the Texas Service Center specifically, which is where VJ instructs sending the initial application, say over 13 MONTHS! :wow:

I now know there is a USCIS processing center right here in Chula Vista, California, in San Diego, where I live! Their wait time is listed at the national average! I am mortified!
Our application is sitting in Texas just waiting in piles of others and now we may be waiting for up to a year more?!?!?!

SOMEONE PLEASE ASSURE ME THIS IS NOT TRUE! :(
I still see on VJ that there are US/Moroccan NOA2s occurring within the 5 month national average.
It is simply that one toggle system (I hope you all know what I mean) that has my heart in additional knots.

I leave in one week to spend six with my fiance, so there is some solace there, of course. But we HAD hoped that soon after would be the interview and APPROVAL finally bringing us together after the entire 2 year ordeal. (and I know some of you have had even more to deal with and approval is no guarantee, but optimism is my armor. :D

Blessings to each and every person facing this most challenging love.
Stay true to the connection and believe...

Thanks for any feedback you can give us regarding this apparent contradiction.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsK-1 PETITION APPROVAL TODAY

It means they have approved your K1 visa petition and you need to wait until your service center send your case to NVC, then NVC will assign a case numbers before they forward your approved petition to the embassy where your fiance lives. Your NOA1 is april, it is amazing that CSC has reached to work on april's now.

Thank you! I now realize this IS the infamous NOA2! My spirits are so boosted. And yes, it seems to be trucking along, though a few seem to have received this notice today, as if there was a clearing of approved I129Fs...

Nonetheless, I feel like someone just put the air back in my deflated balloon! I can't WAIT to tell my love! This is indeed encouraging. I hope the NVC receiving and the interview date are soon to follow.

We just had a six week visit and the first days back apart are just killing us!

Blessings and best wishes to everyone!

HELLO FELLOW VJ-ers....

I received this notice from USCIS today and want to be elated...is this what is referred to as NOA2?
I am so confused!!!
Are we now awaiting interview date? Instructions for doctor's visit and police, etc.? I am LOST!
Any insight will be appreciated...I am just too nervous and suspect to jump for joy just yet!

:help:

WELL HERE IS THE EXACT WORDING FROM USCIS:

Post Decision Activity

On July 18, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

Middle East and North AfricaMorocco Consulate

hey guys,

I am a little worried about the moroccan consulate as we approach the NOA2 and the home strech of the k-1 process.. I was wondering because i have read in some reviews they have declined people without even looking at there proof of realtionship and after they asked only one question.

Background on the Relationship:
USC: 22 Years old Male
Applicant: 20 Years old Fermale
Met in August 2011
Engaged December 2011
Chat History: 600+ pages
Pictures: 1500 Pictures
3 Trips so far to morocco
Both Families have met each other in morocco
She speaks French, Russian, Arabic, and English.. Her English is alright

Any tips for her?!

anything Im missing I really want her to pass her interview as I just bought a Condo recently and waiting for her arrival in chicago!!!

I second that word I have heard is that female beneficiaries have a significantly easier time in interview, particularly if the American is of the same faith.

However, my last flight to Morocco found me sitting next to a wonderful Islamic Moroccan woman who married her husband and was applying for CR-1 and was denied and had to go through the entire process a second time while her husband was in the states the whole time. She said she felt her lack of strength in speaking English was what went against her in the interview itself.

I wish you the best.
I just thought of that woman when I read your post and some of the other responses.

I am sure she will do great and be in Chicago in no time!

Middle East and North AfricaGot Approved

What to send to your fiance(e) once the I-129F is approved (Receive NOA2):
1.A copy of the entire I-129f package (that you made when you sent the petition in) and a copy of information that you sent back due to an RFE (if you received one).

2.Send all originals of the documentary proof that you submitted for the I-129F to your fiance(e) for their interview at the embassy

3.Send an original letter affirming your desire to marry your fiance(e) and your continued support of the K-1 Visa. Sign and date the form. This will be similar to the letter you provided with the I-129F, but dated much closer to the interview (it will have most likely been several months since you submitted your I-129F).

4.I-864 Affidavit of Support form. Ensure it is signed, with all required supporting evidence. Begin collecting the required information ahead of time, as it can often take several weeks to collect it all.

5.You will likely need at a minimum (for the above form) two to three of your most recent pay stubs and a signed letter from your employer listing you job title, start date, your salary, and the status (full-time) of your position. Begin collecting these ASAP after your NOA2 arrives. You will also probably want to include other evidence such as your banking information and other assets as required by the I-864. Specifically you will need at least 2 of the 4 options mentioned in Section II-Supporting Evidence of the I-864.

6.A copy of the NOA2 that you received in the mail.

7.Proof of your ongoing relationship. This needs to be taken to the interview! Include photos, travel documents, emails, etc from between the time you filed and present (NOA1 date-now).

Zagray did you by chance get to see any of this on here: If so, then disregard it, but its helpful in what she needs to send you.

THANK YOU! :D THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED! BLESSINGS!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresK1 Petition - Delays in Processing

The Lockbox in Texas is where all I-129F petitions are sent, then they reroute them either to California or Vermont, usually by the state where the petitioner lives. :)

I did not know this information. I have been freaking out about my Moroccan I129F application as the Texas Service Center says a horrific waiting time while VJ posts my expected time of projected interview as much sooner. So, TX just takes in all the apps and will send mine back to California where I live? I can't stand the wait, just like all of us, I know. I check every single day like a dork and am so disappointed to hear nothing. But April 2 was my NOA1...so I know I must do my yoga and practice PATIENCE. Am I now overstanding you correctly?

Hello all,

I am new here. It seems like it is a very usfual and helpful site. I just wanted to tell you guys a little about me. I am petitioning K1-visa for my fiancee. I am a US citizen and my fiancee is an Afghan national. I didn't know about this site, but it seems like I had done things correctly becuase my I-129F was approved with no RFE. Right now I am waiting for the embassy to contact us. Has anyone have any idea what to do and what to expect. Thank you all.

What does that mean?...."my I-129F was approved..."
I know what NO RFE Is..
but is NOA2 notification of 'approval'
without interview date
without medical and police?

I guess I am unclear even after reading the VJ site..
what the EXACT order is...

Thanks so much!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedureswhats next after NOA2?

when you received your NOA2 what is next to do?

After they tell you your app was approved it is sent to New Hampshire and you will receive notice or you can call to confirm its arrival. Then I called a week later to see if it was sent to my beneficiary's consulate. They should send word relatively soon.

Make sure you included email and texting on your app or else call and let them add that to their system. You want to stay on them though. You are on the right path.

Some have written me that the VCS is slow...but we did not experience that at all.

Blessings to your path!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresK-1 129f Wait for Interview

Hey Allison, Imad hasn't heard anything yet, I am going to call NVC tomorrow and find out if they have gotten anything. It's been 2 weeks tomorrow since the approval. I wish you and Didi the best of luck on the rest of the journey and a great interview (L) (L) This is so hard for the last part... I am so nervous and Imad says, don't worry my love, I know everything, lol. I am going to have a few people write a paper stating our relationship is real and I will ask him to have some people he knows do the same. Once again, best of luck on the home stretch :D :D

Nicky and Imad (L)

Thanks Nicky!

Yes, call! I did so...they did NOT contact me. It just so happened their response was that it went out that day. Ironic. It had been 8 days. So, definitely call!

And I wish you the best of luck and prayer and destiny also! It is hard for us here at the end. Our patience seems to be short despite Ramadan and our best intentions. I want to do the letters from other loved ones too...but, I am so overwhelmed with work and barely able to get all my taxes and pay stubs and the chats and the call logs....ugh...it is just too too much! But maybe I can still get one before I send this packet out on Monday.

I think it is all just getting to me a bit. I am ready for it to be the drive to the airport in such a huge, huge way! Well, keep up the prayers, I guess!

Thanks for touching base! And I just know you two will be fine and come out of it all with flying colors!

Blessings,

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresK-1 129f Wait for Interview
Hallo, once again, VJers!

First of all, so much gratitude for all the replies you have given us, well wishes and tips.

Today the K-1 application left VCS for Casablanca. It is laden, as with us all, with kisses and wishes and prayers and some juju and full surrender to GOD.

We now await notice of its arrival and the infamous packet that will declare Didi's interview date and accompanying list of to-dos.

I am sending off papers that are my responsibility and we spent the wonderful summer together, our FOURTH visit, and have TONS of proof of our ongoing relationship.

PLEASE MY DEAR FELLOW FRIENDS AND STRANGERS...ANY TIPS FOR THE HOME STRETCH? ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING INTERVIEW, SPIRITUAL, PRACTICAL, DOCS AND POPO...ANY TIPS...
PLEASE SHARE! WE WANT ANY LEG UP WE CAN GET!

We are both sending best wishes to everyone facing this struggle. We are just a couple of months from our 2 year anniversary and the pain, the challenges, the frustration and discouragement are almost more than any individual can bear. We can only thank God for the patience and YOU ALL for the advice!

Didi and Allison

You know, Rick, I have many a friend in Casablanca, but somehow, just because you despise me, you are the only one I trust.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures'rescheduled'??!?!!?!?!?
Hallo VJers!

Hope everyone is finding patience and positivity in their wait!

We have received our interview date and packet today, 8-24-2102. The notice says it was RESCHEDULED for 10-9-2012. But this is the first we have heard of ANY interview date. We are confused. Is this due to Ramadan postponing things? We were hoping for a date earlier in September, to be honest. Does anyone know what this means? if the interview was rescheduled? without us receiving a prior notice?

We can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the support! I will ask my friend to get me some antibiotics. Also about the ads, I used to work for MSN ads, and it is crazy how much info we had access to. We could program it so ads would display based on any recent searches that were made, status changes on facebook etc. Like did you notice as soon as you changed your status from single to engaged on facebook you started getting non-stop ads for wedding stuff. Pretty crazy how much they know about you, once you sign on to your hotmail....

That's it. Took about 1-2 hours.

tee hee.. hubby's situation was similar - he had no problems with it at all.. no pain meds either to speak of after the actual root canal was completed (although the dentist said there wasn't much living in that area anyway). We thankfully have a Dr. that would allow us to pay in installment plans.

The root Canal surgery cost $300.00 (after insurance) and the crown cost us $600 (after insurance).. bah.

Ha! So funny you guys are talking about this today...I just woke up with the worst toothache! I've only been in the states 5 days, no insurance...and I know it's a stupid wisdom tooth that has been surfaced for years and should have been pulled. It's infected and it's spreading down the side of my throat. With no insurance I think I'm just going to wait it out....have a doctor friend here, maybe he can hook me up with drugs for the time being. Oh and I'm one of those with like 18 filled cavities from when I was a kid! But my teeth are white and straight, gotta love braces!

ChinaVaccination Requirement Question
Hello,

I had a quick question which I posted in the Canada section but figure that posting here as well might help.

I will be submitting the I-130 for my wife who lives in Montreal and I was looking ahead and read over some scans of the CR1 / IR1 interview letter that someone posted on another forum and noticed that they require records of having listed vaccinations. My wife moved to Montreal five years ago from China and she has no memory of receiving any records of vaccinations and doesn't believe she can get such documents. My question is, what can we do in this case? Obviously some would be easy to satisfy such as the tetanus one since that one is every 10 years I believe. But how about those that are given when one if a baby? How would we provide documentation for these? I appreciate any advice.

I'm not sure if the process if the same for those applying from China but in case it is how would one go about to acquire such records? In the likelihood that such documents cannot be received what do you suggest that can be done?

Thank you in advance

CanadaQuick Question on Vaccination Requirement
Hello,

I will be submitting the I-130 for my wife who lives in Montreal and I was looking ahead and read over the scans of the CR1 / IR1 interview letter and noticed that they require records of having listed vaccinations. My wife moved to Montreal five years ago from China and she has no records of vaccinations she has received and doesn't believe she can get such documents. My question is, what can we do in this case? Obviously some would be easy to satisfy such as the tetanus one since that one is every 10 years I believe. But how about those that are given when one if a baby? How would we provide documentation for these? I appreciate any advice.

CanadaPayment for I-130
First off, thank you for everyone who has replied to all my previous posts. I had a question in regards to payment for the I-130. We don't qualify for DCF so we have to send the file to USCIS and were hoping to send it tomorrow since we have everything ready. As far as the payment goes, it clearly states that the money order or check needs to be drawn on a bank that is in the U.S. Unfortunately, I don't have open an account in the U.S. so checks are out of the question. As far as money orders go, the only bank that is in Canada and also one in the U.S. is HSBC. For those that have run into similar issues, I just want to double check if a US money order from HSBC would be acceptable.

Thanks again.

CanadaPolice Certificate Questions
Thanks for all the replies, they really helped. I had another quick question, my wife called the RCMP office in Montreal to inquire about the clearances and was told that they no longer do them there and would have to either go to another RCMP office outside montreal or through a private agency. Have any of you been in this same scenario and would a clearance from a private agency be accepted or would she have to go to one of the other RCMP offices? Thanks in advance.

CanadaPolice Certificate Questions
Hi,

I have another questions in regards to the needed police certificates for the CR-1 visa. For the RCMP we noticed that they only ask for a name based check but mention that a fingerprint check can be requested at the examining officer's request. For those that have gone through this step already, which did you get? The name based check or the fingerprint one just to be on the safe side?

Secondly, I am petitioning for my wife who has PR status in Canada but her citizenship is Chinese. Is she required to get police clearances from China since she was living there up until the age of 20? Or do we simply only need the RCMP ones?

Thanks for your advice!
