Yep, I got it too. Not sure what it means but probably more waiting. I feel like each day that passes and I'm left waiting, I lose my mind all the more. At least I'm not in this alone.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresGoing Out Of
I have ****ing had it with CSC!!! I am on day 129 since the damn noa1 and still nothing. Seems like there are only a few along with me for the ride and that sucks. I want to be one of those ppl who can rejoyce because they are moving onto the next stage, not one of those sour broad who cries and gets pissed when someone from february or later gets their noa2. where the hell is mine? I just don't get it and with each passing day it gets harder and harder to stay strong. I feel like I'm going out of my mind and losing my head. I've been apart from my sweetie for 21 months now ......4 months maybe I could handle if that were all it was but it hasn't been , its been so much longer and I'm just dying for all this ####### to end. I just don't know what to do to keep the hope up. I see others get their noa2s and I just want to punch something and lose all sense of self control. I'm so damn tired of this ####### people! I think Jon is going to go to his congressional reps and find out what is going on because this is ridiculous. I didn't do anything wrong to warrent these "extra security checks" and I would like to know what the hell gives. I'm just a young woman trying to live her life and be happy and I want so badly out of this mundane routine I call a life. I want to move on to bigger and better things and be with the one person who makes me feel good about myself. I'm tired of sitting online every nigth and talking or chatting on the phone. I want the ****Ing real thing for crying out loud!!!! I'm depressed more than I should be for someone my age and I can't eat right or concentrate because I'm worrying about this damn visa process. There may not be much of me left by the time CSC and USCIS get their acts together. I don't know that to do. I'm all out of answers :crying: I needed to vent. Sorry if I brought any of you guys down with me.

Does this mean everyone will have to do this or just those past March 6th? Sorry but I was wondering.

You are not affected since you filed long before March 6. Have you contacted them regarding your long wait time? On May 26 you were at 120 days - isn't that the date when you have permission from the gods to contact them and ask them what the hold up is about?

Actually no. 120 days holds no significance. Your NOA1 must have been 30 days prior to the 'date being processed' on the web site.

Exactly but I have emailed them twice and they have been no help so......its congressman time.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresShould Fiance Come Visit

Please don't fall for the panic syndrome method of operation. I can understand how you feel as my wife and I were separated for almost 2 years after my last visit and it took that long for me to get my finances in order and get her k1 properly filed. Even after it was approved and she had her visa in hand, it took another 3 months to get the plane ticket for her and her son to fly here.

You guys are VERY LUCKY that you're so close to each other, and can meet as often as you have.

I don't know how to explain this... (I'm just a man), but after we got married all of the antsy'ness went away and we settled down a lot. Feels a lot more secure, both of us do, after being officially married.

One thing that helped a lot was that she worked full time, had to take care of her son and keep up her house there by herself (so she was busy too). We talked 2-5 times per day, (she had a cell phone which made this easier), and emailed almost daily. We sent photos back and forth via email... I had a web cam set up so she could see me live and all that. Our long separation almost seemed routine, although she did exhibit some stress from time to time of the hassle of doing the man's work at her house and actually being full time mom and dad at home without me being there. It was not easy.

Her stress became mine by a factor of 10X... But that's the way the ball bounces in this business.

If you're not working and are capable, you might want to try to find a part time job to help you while away the time after all, if your mind has too much time to work, it'll definitely over-work itself into un-necessarily stressful situations.

Just a few thoughts... :D

PS: I'm not sure if you can visit here with the K1 pending... Not the expert, but If you have to apply for a visa (with a k visa pending), then I don't think you can do it; (but with Canada, no visa should be necessary anyways). If you try to come over the border without one and they know you've got a k1 pending, then it's their judgement call if you plan on visiting without returning. Someone else like yodrak would know better.

Thanks for the thoughts. I don't plan on entering the workforce again until I am sure of what my future holds and that I can be 100% committed to anyone sort of job. In the meantime though, he is going to visit me again sometime over the summer since we discussed it and he feels he needs to see me once more before the interview.

any chance you can take a chunk of time off work and go to San Diego and hang out? From what you say it seems he is the one with the busier work schedule... maybe it would be easier to spend more time together if you went there?

I would love to. I don't work so i have all the free time in the world. One thing though. I was denied twice at the border and I don't know whether its worth it to try and risk going across again.

Two months must be damn nice! If only I could be with Jon for that long. I think he's going to come sometime this summer after talking to him and discussing things.

 That sounds exactly like what I'm experiencing. I am fine for about a week after he goes back home too and then the panic always settles in. This is the first time though which I have not had a date of a visit to look foward to. That's probably why I am going outta my mind. Just knowing a date of when he will return helps me cuz then I WILL know he is coming back but right now I don't so I'm freaking out. Thanks for the reply :luv:

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresShould Fiance Come Visit

OMG your posts are almost making me cry, I would so recommend you to have him coming to see you if you have to opportunity time and money wise.

Im from Montreal and my BF is currently in Chicago and it kills me to know that we are so close together but so far at the same time. We have been lucky to see each other ever 5 weeks since November but its getting really expensive ( somehow I would have think that since its close it would have been cheaper, but no). But I totally understand what you are going through, as I feel Im going to fall apart every 2-3 weeks or so. This is a lot of stress. Thing is I cannot even fill my K-1 now with him because we are waiting for him to get his divorce papers, and I am the one usually visiting him because he has kids and cant really leave for couple days, and I am scared I wont be able to go once we send the K-1 cause I could be stopped at the border. Ok i guess I am rambling a little bit. But just know how much I understand what you are going through.

You got one chance in a lifetime to meet the right person, but yet have to go through all this process to make it even more impossible. Immigration is hard to believe sometimes. It makes us pay the price for all the people that tried to screw the system in the past. Neways. Good luck :)

Mephys

Thanks girl. It is so unbelievably stressful and those visits are what I have to cling to. I know all about waiting for the divorce to be finished too because I had to do that too. It takes a year in Ontario for your seperation to be legal so you can file for divorce so that whole process was 16 months for me. We have now been apart for 21 months and its getting too much to bear. I didn't want it to be like this but it seems its going to be no matter what I do. It will probably have been 2 years and some before I even get my visa. I just want this chapter to close so I can open up another one, a better and more happy one. This grief of not being together is almost too much to bear sometimes. *sigh* All the best.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresShould Fiance Come Visit
Thanks everyone. We do see eachother every 2-3 months and its been almost 4 weeks since the last visit. It scares me to think that this process could go on and on and on and we might not be able to see eachother until sept/october. His busy time at work starts July 22 and after that he wont be able to get time off which is why I think he should come know. I don't think he has as much trouble as I do being away because he has work and everything else to keep him busy. Myself though, I rely on those visits alot and they keep me together in one piece. It's just hard to decide this because it hasn't been long since he was here last but it could be 4 months or so before he gets a chance to come back once work picks up. I just want him here with me for a few days so that I can feel better and everything. I think its safe to say our visa isn't going to be granted before fall anyway so.....I think he should come but I can't make him if he doesn't want to. It depends on work too and ofcourse finances since he spends quite alot to come see me. Flights aren't cheap from San Diego to Ontario. *sigh*

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresShould Fiance Come Visit
I don't know if this goes here or not but oh well someone can move it if its not in the right place.

Here's the thing. Jon was going to come visit me next whenever my interview is at. Well right now I don't even see any signs of that happening until the fall what with our noa2 still missing and everything and its already the middle of June so before work gets busy and he can't take time off til fall, should he come visit me again? Or should we just tough it out til the fall or whenever? I'm really finding it harder to go without seeing him after each visit and I'm broken about not getting to see him til the fall (because in reality USCIS isn't going to speed up our case in 2 months) I can't even concentrate on very much anymore because I miss him so bad. Is it selfish of me to want him to come visit again so soon after his last visit? I'm confused. I'm emotional and I just want him to hold me or be with me. I'm sick at the thought of having to wait til Sept/October to be with him again. Any advice? I am not even sure this post is coherent but I'll post it anyway. Some people go through alot more time than I do between visits but those visits are everything to me, ya know? I think I'm still with him because of these visits. If I didn't have the visits I would fall apart compleltey, you know? So ya thanks for listening.

 Thanks Kara. That means alot. It does suck. Jon is going to call tomorrow and see what his Rep. can find out. It's been 4 months and 3 weeks now. *sigh* I keep hoping with every week that our noa2 will come but so far it hasn't. It's gotta be out there somewhere!!! Again, thanks.

Well I certainly hope that it doesn't take as long for you as it has been for me and Stacey. I think it is because extra security checks are going on. Nobody can give us that answer though since USCIS and CSC seem secretive about it all. I've been turned back at the border twice while trying to visit my fiance (who at that time was just my boyfriend) so that might have something to do with it. I'm not sure but I do know its not nice to have no clue what is going on. At least do the decency of telling ppl what is going on, you know? So I hope that it won't happen to you. Best of Luck.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresK-1 visa confusion

I think if you have a straightforward case (no divorces, no convictions or criminal record) you should be fine.

I've been divorced so does that mean I am going to have problems?

Not necessarily - just make sure you have the complete divorce decree and if it needs to be translated, be sure it is done.

Ditto. Got it all here.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresLetter of Intent
I'm from San Diego, my fiance lives in the UK. We are preparing our paperwok for an I-129 Fiance VISA. We have a question about the Fiance Letter of Intent, that we downlaoded from the site. The letter asks for the name of country where the Embassy is located.

Do we write United Kingdom on both letters of intent?

Thanks.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresLittle question on check list.....
Do French birth certificates usually list the parent's birthdates? American birth certificates do not have that information--at least mine doesn't. I don't see how your parent's birthdates could be important.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresInternational Calls
I use Telecom and it is very inexpensive--but you have to be calling to and from a land line--not a cell phone. Just dial 1010987 before you dial the phone number. I have about 8 hours of calls a month to the UK and my bill is a little over $20. It takes a couple months before you will see a bill. Mine is added to my regular phone bill.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHELP! We're getting nervous about what happens after he's here
I have a friend(US citizen) whose husband is French--he has permanent U.S. residency. They have been married for 6 years. They moved to France for a year without any problems. I think she mentioned something about needing to return to the U.S. at least once a year to keep her husband's permanent residency valid. But they only stayed a year, so I am not sure about that detail.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresMedical
Does anyone know how they give u to complete the medical ?? Is it a month or more before the interview date that they require you to get it done? I am asking cuz I don't drive and am unable to get family to take me so i would need my fiance to come and do it. He wants to be there for the interview too but i dont think it would feasable for him to come within a month twice. I'm very nervous about this.
