Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussionhow to send the packagee
We only paid $19 to send our package USPS Express but that's probably because we are so close to Laguna Niguel and our package didn't have to travel far.

Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussionhow to send the packagee
We used an ACCO fastener to hold our documents together and put everything in a waterproof envelope before putting it in the actual mailing box. We sent our application via USPS Express mail. That way we were able to track our package online and received a confirmation email when it was received by CSC. Good luck!

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI-751: To include Marriage certificate, Passports, DL or not?!
Out of the 4 items you listed we only submitted our DLs to show common residence.

If your passports contain stamps from trips you've taken together go ahead and submit copies of your passports as well(maybe along with the corresponding boarding passes or pictures).

There's no reason to resubmit your marriage certificate as they already have it on file.

Good luck!

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI-751:Present evidence for last 2 or whole 4 years?
The evidence we submitted covers the time from when we were married up until now. In our case that's 2 years.

Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussionhi again..sending 2moro need some advice
QUOTE (florsteve_webber @ May 5 2009, 11:38 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
i just want a real answer!
i have an American bf and he wants to get me a visit visa so that i could get there easily and it just takes a short time. i am a FILIPINA. HE planned that if i get there at KANSAS, we will get married and change my visa into spousal visa.
my question is, is it possible we could marry there even though i just have a visit visa? could he petition a spousal visa from a visit visa?

thanks in advance! "SALAMAT"

It is against the law to enter the US as a tourist with the intention to adjust status. If someone comes to the US and spontaneously decides to get married and adjusts status that's a different story.

You could still come here as a tourist and get married but would have to return to your home country afterwards until your spousal visa gets approved.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI-751 Documents
QUOTE (Vijay @ May 6 2009, 06:29 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Did you guys send the documents (mortgage statements, checking account statements, utility bills) for the past two years since the Green card approval or for 6 months. I have all the documents for 6 months except the auto/home insurance which was for two years.

It's important to submit evidence that covers the entire two years. Personally, we submitted evidence that covered the the time from when we were married up until now.

I don't think you have anything to worry about since you've received mail from USCIS at your current address.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI-751: What is the average number of pages sent in application?
QUOTE (Haole @ May 6 2009, 10:13 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I put the most "powerfull" documents and evidence at the front. Trust, adoption decree, will, joint tax transcripts, joint bank and credit card accounts, life and medical insurance etc. Followed by pictures, affidavits from friends, letters address to both of us etc.
It's all important but I figured the person checking the petition may make a positive decision in the first few "powerfull" pages and not bother with the rest as we had a LOT.

Same here. We also put what we thought was the most important evidence first (proof of joint bank accounts, IRS tax transcripts, joint health and dental insurance, joint lease, joint car title etc) and finished with secondary evidence such as a couple of affidavits, pictures and boarding passes from trips that we've taken together.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI-751: What is the average number of pages sent in application?
QUOTE (j25 @ May 5 2009, 07:53 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Thank you guys. You helped us a lot with this information. We were concerned are we sending too many of documents - but it looks that we are fine.

This file of 150 pages can't fit in standard letter size USPS envelope. I was able to find Tyvek 10x13inch and it fits.

We have included random statements - like every 6 months - is this OK or we should include each month?

It's not necessary to include a (bank) statement for every month. 2 to 3 statements per year should be fine. Same goes for utility bills etc.
To answer your initial question, we submitted a total of 208 pages. I have to add though that we included 2 leases with each lease consisting of about 20 pages.

I'm still waiting for my biometrics appointment. I applied for removal just before Christmas last year and I filed with CSC. The NOA was as fast as I had expected it but since then, I have heard nothing. crying.gif
But I still have until the end of December for the year to be over for the extension period. If I have to wait that long, I will probably have to take some action and make some phone calls. I can try to be patient until October. Then I will call...

That's not okay. You should call them now.

I agree. I would schedule an infopass appointment.
