I received the date for the interview!! So happy.
It's the 27th October!
I have another question. Tanya is sending me the I-134 (affidavit of support) and we don't know if she has to check "Intend" or "do not intend to make.....". :bonk:
In fact i will live with her without a job in the US, just the time for me to have my green card and find a job.
Can you please help us...

Ooo by the way the medical exam for me is the next Monday!!! :yes:

But what about the form I-134? For you, they don't look at all the stuff between the interview and the Visa in the mail.

I had my interview for my K-1 visa Wednesday.
Everything was good. Employees very friendly and my interview was well.
She smiled and said : "if everything goes well, you will receive your Visa between 7 and 10 days". :P

What do you think they do during this time? Are they looking the forms? Are they talking.... Or at this time their decision is already ok?


To be honest, i'm stressed out...
Why they don't say : congratulations, you have your Visa.... :wow:

Hi fellow VJ members,
I have read many posts with hundreds of questions and can't seem to find the simple answer to my question. :blink:
We have not received the NOA2 yet, but are expecting to hopefully in August.
My fiance is coming to visit me in September and stay until October (1 month). After receipt of the NOA2, will we schedule the interview at the US Embassy in France or will he receive a letter specifying a date/time which is assigned to him?

I'm sure the answer is out there somewhere, but I cannot find it.

It's not complicated - it's almost a mirror of what I did (left job and moved to temporary accommodation while visa was being processed). If you know your new address at the time you apply to the embassy for your visa, then put this address down. On the G325 you have to list all addresses lived at in the past 5 years (I think this is the time span - but need to check). The last one listed will be your present address, and this should match up with the address you put on the DS 230.



I'm very sorry, but i don't understand...
When we sent the first package to obtain the NOA1, we typed my "present adress" on the i-129f and g-325.

Now, once we will receive the NOA2, i will change my adress (and job).. So, i have to put on the DS-230 the new one? right?

Son i will leave my job, and in the same time, change my adress.
Because i live in a military camp.

Should i change my adress on all the forms too? :help:
or i keep the same adress i typed for the I-129?


In France, the post office can resend all the letters i will receive in my "old" adress to my "new adress"... So, i will receive the packages without change my adress...

We both are starting to collect all the papers, documents and required items to "speed things along"...

I'm French, so i apologize by advance about my "poor" English.. :whistle:
I have a question concerning the form DS-230. I'm a French military and will leave my job the 08/30/2010.

What i have to write at the question 12 : Your Present Occupation..? Military or NONE?
It bothers me, because between the time we will receive the NOA2 and the time of the interview, my professional situation will change.

I had to deal with the US Embassy in Jamaica, so I can't give you an exact answer,but I do not believe it is a problem to change your interview date. I actually asked for a early to mid interview date in June and recieved it. So I dont see why you wouldn't be able to ask for a certain date or rescedule your appointment.

However, the US Embassy in France may be run totally different.

A great great news yesterday!! We received by the mail the NOA2!!!
So happy!!! :D

For every step of the Visa, we have news questions, it's crazy!
WE ARE WAITING :
-Once uscis has sent our petition to the NVC, the NVC will send our petition to France (us embassy.
-Once Us embassy in France receives, i will receive the list of documents i must have for the interview..
-Once i have all the documents listed on the checklist i will send it to the embassy.. :huh:

I'm going to visit Tanya in US at the end of the month for 5 weeks. My fear is during this time, i will certainly have the appointment at the US emnbassy in France.. Is it a problem to change this appointment? If no, how ? and is it me who chooses the next? :bonk:

And about the mediacal appointment, you confirm, it's before the interview...

Hi fellow members!

We are so happy, just received the next step of the K1 Visa. I have to collect forms and send few forms to my embassy before the appointment.
My questions are :
Do I have to fill online the DS-156 before the appaointment at the US embassy?
Do I also have to fill the forms DS-157 ans DS-156K ?

On the DS-156, there is an information i have to fill, concerning the date of arrival in the US territory. But how can I know? haven't the visa yet, so, i can't know, when i'm leaving France, does make sense?

Please, help us.

The P3 received, the French embassy asks me to fill some other forms.
The embassy wants me to fill the DS-156 online and gives me the website. When i go to this website, actually, it's not the DS-156, but the DS-160.... Is it normal? :blink:

Must I fill these forms too : DS-157 and DS-156K???
I'm lost... :bonk:
