I have read that you automatically also file a CR1 at that time and that you can "abandon" the K3 process and go with the Cr1 instead. How do you go about doing this???? You need to decide which one you wanted... basically they almost side by side in the approval..case scenerios, we have lots of people have the CR1 and K3 approved in the same day. If you want ur SP sooner after you get your NOA2 from USCIS, then go with K3...but u cant get a job or ssn until at leat 90 days and you have to do AOS. The US Embassy consulate in the PHILIPPINES never mail the letter to my wife. I received the mail few days ago, embassy mailed it FEB 12... wow...snail mail. I called the NVC told them that since I paid the $ 470, I will be ignoring the K3. The NVC stated they have no control over it cause they mailed the K3 on 29 Jan 2009 to the consulate. Did anyone here totally ignored the K3 or anyone here call the consulate to drop the K3. I did IGNORED the K-3 but if I got the mail from consulate on the 12th FEB, I would call them, set up the appointment for an interview and used that interview date to Converted CR1 instead of K3. I also try to buy 1 way ticket for my wife in the Philippines, $ 760 NOW vs $1345 later for one way in May flight but I can't buy it unless my wife have visa on hand for the price of $ 760... but the lady cant guarantee the price in April after my wife interview. Anyone living in the Philippines (preferebly live in Cebu) know any best deal in flights from CEBU to San Antonio? Expedia.com or any of these online ticket still high prices....Thanks! Its confusing... @ CRIS, sometimes the mail from the NVC and the package you have sent criss croos each other. It happened to me twice in less than a week. ALSO... the NVC received my RFE, ORIG/CERT copy of my BC yetserday and when I talked to LIVE OPERATOR this morning to make sure they received my BC, they, OPERATOR, told me that my CASE is COMPLETED and will receive the mail for the INTERVIEW Instruction on APRIL... She told me that don't need to send any more documents as they have completed my case. I will call again to verified tonight with another OPERATOR! Ok soooo now I'm in line with NVC to speak with an operator...I want to DOUBLE CHECK with someone to make sure we don't really have an rfe! Any other updates out there guys?!??! YES it is possible to get an RFE through AVR, case scenerio that when I sent my IV package with my DS 230, the AVR wasn't updated, it is telling me that I need to send the required DS 230. (: how's everything going with everyone else out there! hope it's going smoothly! (: @ love... I run into same problem with you with the NVC, they asked for my wife original BC which is not possible. The NSO only give us the certified copy of them so I talked to Live Operator and she will have the SUPERVISOR review the case and at the meantime I have asked my wife to send me another orgiginal certified copy of the BC... thats allI am waiting for to get an interview, wish me luck too! Live Operator told me that eventhough I have a coverletter in my RFE with Case #'s and brief description ), it will be delay. NVC wanted an Original BC. I told them the NSO ( National Statistic Office ), the only one that can issued a BC, send us a copy of the BC. It is stamped paid and they staple the receipt in the BC. I guess somehow the ORIGINAL documnet from NSO and the one I color copied got mixed up and I may have send copy instead of the ORIGINAL from NSO. NVC can tell the different from the original and copy (not intended to send them the copy one). So I went to my files and found the ORIGINAL, some secret ink that when you make copy, it won't copy the ink (like the money). So I RUSH and got everything, the cover letter explaining the situation and Original BC from the NSO with the staple receipt to it. Well I thought I was DONE... FINISH and send it OVERNIGHT EXPRESS and paidf the fee. And #######... the very important, well one of the important is I forgot to enclosed the COVERSHEET, the one with the barcodes, and NOW will have another DELAY in my case. COVERSHEET is very important to have when sending the paperwork because they can scan it and place it in the proper desk or office. I went to the post office and I told them I am willing to pay the additonal charge to get my envelope but it left for the day. ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGHHH !!! I guess I wont be able to make the MARCH but I hope they save me the spot for APRIL. But as long as my wife get here before our 1st Aniverssary in MAY 2009, I can forget all this MADNESS. I will call them this morning, no reasons at all about previous marriage certificates but when I reviewed the online instructtion, its there states copy of the previous marriage license so I figure that might be what they needed cuse I send everything else including the divorce decree and the waiver citation. If they say "maybe send 1-3 years of tax info.." send ALL three! That way you gave them a little extra and all they asked for. Make sure you triple check all of your forms and get someone else to look over them too. Sometimes we're so used to seeing all the forms that our eyes play tricks on us! By the way....our AVR is still saying that we have an RFE, but again according to the lady on the phone Thursday night we don't have an RFE that message is just up there because they just received our I-864 RFE package the day before and they haven't had a chance to look at it. Phew! I will check again on Monday, maybe to just double check the operators info. Doesn't hurt right? Hope everyone's having a great weekend! *** @ MOOSKER, Well the 1st of 2 RFE I got this week was false alarm... 1st RFE- NVC stated they never got my IV package... that next day it was cleared, they got my package! 2nd RFE- this one bites cause like you, I tripple everything and send extra stuff to make sure its everything okay, the bad part is no one there on weekend to answer the phone- AVR only states they sent RFE. I think its my PCC/NBI that was sent the nxt day after my pckg was sent off. But then it also state that they need my wedding certificate from previous marriage, I guess the divorce decree is not enough? When do I call the NVC and see if my packets get mail to embassy in PHILS... since I got the APPROVED notice, what can I do while waiting for my wife... is there anything here in the stateside I can do to expedite my wife to get here.
