K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reportscan I get appointment at US embassy manila?
QUOTE (missingyou_01234 @ Feb 17 2009, 06:41 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hello everyone,

I would like to ask if anyone try this. I am thinking of going to US embassy manila. I want to ask them personally about what to expect with me and my fiance visa application. Our application is taking so long maybe because of his background.

I am just wondering and I hope you could light me up. If it's possible I would really do appear at their office. just an Idea... Anybody try this? please tell me what to do. thanks.

THAT LONG?...

YOU SHOULD HAVE CALLED THE NVC AND SEE YOUR STATUS, IF IT NEVER LEFT THE NVC THEN MANILA EMBASSY CAN'T HELP YOU AND JUST WASTE OF YOUR TIME. YOU NEED TO CALL THE NVC FIRST, THEY WILL SEND YOU AN E MAIL OR LETTER STATING THAT YOUR CASE BEEN FORWARDED TO MANILA. IF YOU HAVEN'T GOT THE LETTER OR E MAIL, THEN CALL NVC. IF YOU RECEIVED AN E MAIL AND LETTER FROM THEM, THEN CALL THE EMBASSY IN MANILA. GOODLUCK, PLEASE FIX YOUR TIMELINE SO WE CAN FIGURE IT OUT WHERE YOU AT...

Cherel's visa was approved on the Feb 10th and was delivered to her on Feb 12th. kicking.gif

Once we read it we noticed that the expiration date listed was on April 20, 2009. Is this correct? I thought that the K1 was good for entry up to 6 months after being issued and then it was valid for up to 90 days after entering the States. April 20th seems so soon.

Thanks

Bob

SIMPLE ANSWER... WITHIN 6 MONTHS TO GET THERE, ONCE SHE IS THERE, YOU GOT WITHIN 90 DAYS TO GET MARRIED...HITCH!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsVisa approved
QUOTE (Moksha @ Mar 24 2009, 06:29 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
kicking.gif Hi,

My interview went good yesterday .Our visa was approved. Here's some of our interview experience:

We got there really early and found out that you are only allowed into the Embassy 30 minutes before your appointment time, so we had to find something to do for a couple of hours. Once our time came we went in...they let my USC fiance in with no problems, just asked for her passport. Once inside they give you a number and this is your number for the whole time you're there. They called our number and we went to pre-screening where an Indian man took our paperwork and my fingerprints. It took them a while to find the paperwork that we submitted to VFS, but they did find it so don't worry if this happens to you also. After he went through the paperwork I paid the demand draft and then sat down to wait for my number to be called again for the interview. My fiance was allowed to be with me this whole time.

When my number was called again my finace and I went up to the counter together and the strangest thing happened to us...they interviewed us both!!!. The interviewing officer was really nice to us and wanted to know about the 6 visits for my fiancé. Wanted to know about how our relation progressed and the whole timeline of us in general, so make sure you guys know your dates of stuff like when you started dating, when you got engaged, when your first date was...where you went. If your fiance has visited multiple times make sure you know those dates too as well as where you guys went and what you did during those visits. There also was a supervisor standing behind our interviewer the whole time who who infact at the end of the interview gave us the approval.

I 100% think that my fiance being there was a big plus, so if you can at all swing it make sure your fiance is there!! They even told us that Delhi is a high fraud K-1 Consulate so they are looking even harder for genuine relationships.

So all in all it was a ver different and very unique experience. Much less chatoic than I thought it was going to be.

Thanks you guys for all your support, and good luck to everyone! star_smile.gif

My fiancé and I just mailed off our package today to the California Service Center. Who else is filing this month? I'd love to hear from you!

I'm a nervous nelly as we're headed out of town for several weeks so he can meet my parents. I mailed the package certified/return receipt so I can check that they received it. I guess I will just keep anxiously checking to see if they cash my check while I'm away!

I filed my I-130 on June 14, they got it and received NOA 1 on the 17th.
I filed my I-129F on July 1st, they got it and received NOA 1 on the 4th.

Nothing since then... I called every Monday but same story as the one I checked online. 6 months... they say they are still working on FEB months, I actually have spoke to Case officer from USCIS.

Patience is the name of the game... soon to be PATIENT...LOL!!!

Also I have another son with another woman he is 3yrs and I have no idea where he is at!!!!! I don't really know what to do!!!!!

Also if I have to include them and I did not make enough money on 2008 and I have a better job whick I'm making more money and with this job I will qualify will this work?????

Helpppppppppppppppppppp!!!!

YES you do... I have 2 daughters from previous wife and they get child support from me. You may not paying child support to them due to share custody but bottom line- they are your child (DEPENDANTS). If something happen in the long run with your ex, then the child will be depending on you financially. If you have a child no matter where they are or whom theey maybe with, they are your child and yes you will need to add them, if you cant make the financial obligation or dont meet the minimum income requirements you will be better of to get a co-sponsor, your mom, siblings or wherever. DS 3032 is your Agent of Choice which you assigned someone to do the rest of your documents with you and usually the spouse that is in the US side because it does shorten the case in days. You can do that one online using the benificiary's e mail account e mailing it to the NVC.

So, is this form sent along with the packet of "IV Information"...?
(And does this form still apply if we're both outside the US...?)

Again, TIA...you're information/advice if VERY helpful:-)

You will submit that with you AOS, then they can work with your IV.... but once ur case is generated from the NVC, u can send that via e mail and send the hardcopy to the NVC like this.. by using the benificiary's e mail account

HERE IS THE FORMAT THAT YOU CAN E MAIL TO NVC TO EXPEDITE (WILL SAVE YOU 7-10 DAYS) BECAUSE SNAIL MAIL WILL TAKE LONGER BUT YOU HAVE TO WAIT TILL YOU GET YOUR CASE GENERATED.. ONCE ITS GENERATED, SEND THIS VIA E MAIL FOLLOW WITH YOUR HARDCOPY VIA SNAIL MAIL. THE REST WILL BE SEND TO YOU...IT WILL GO FAST FROM HERE ON. GET ALL YOUR DOCUMENTS READY ESPECIALLY IF ITS COMING FROM OVERSEAS, IE POLICE CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE, DS230... anything that coming from overseas or have to have signature of Benificiary, start sending that to you (if u are the petitioner). GATHERS EVERYTHING YOU NEED NOW so it will save you tremendous times. the reocrd i think is completed in 11 days, mine is 25 days..

If you don't provide BC along the way then they will ask for the RFE (Record of Evidence), your case will be delay until further documents received. I hope this helps...

Thanks so much for your help!
I actually got an e-mail back from the Vancouver conuslate today (i know, weird! kicking.gif ) and they said if we're filing in person at the Vancouver consulate we need the BC...apparently if we were mailing it in we wouldn't need it...at least not right away. We'd obviously need it at some point though:-) I was just hoping to get the I-130 filed right away...instead of waiting another month and a half for my long-form BC...
Sigh wacko.gif

The more supporting DOCUMENTS you have and better preferred the less DELAY you will have. I was done with my paperworks from NVCand case was completed in 25 days... that's 2 RFEs, 1 holiday and alot of patience. I think the record was 11 days that went through NVC. All certified and original documents you have is better to make copies of everything you mailed. Try to get at least 2 Certified copies of evrything as you may be better off than only having one. Goodluck... I got my Interview schedule on APR 21... dumping the K3 as I paid the CR1 already. GOODLUCK!!!

Hi there,

I've just read over the supporting documents needed to file with the I-130 outlined in this pinned thread...
(It's somewhere in the "how to assemble the I-130 packet" info I think...)

On the list here, it has crossed out the intended benefiary's birth certificate and notes that this documet is no longer required..
However, in an e-mail I received from the US Consulate here in Vancouver, Canada, it lists this as required...
(granted, that e-mail was from a couple months ago...)

Does anyone know which one is correct..? wacko.gif

(I am the beneficiary...My Husband is American. But I would rather NOT have to wait to order a long-form birth certificate, which would take who-knows-how-long to receive, before filing the I-130... I want him to file the I-130 sooner than later:-))

Thanks in advance for any help!

Begin by understanding what your visa options really are.

Click here to view the IR-1 / CR-1 Guide or check out the Guides Section for more helpful information on Spousal Visa's, as well as other visa types that apply depending on where you and your spouse currently reside.

Once you file you will have several options available to track your case.

As a note: This visa option is automatically applied for by K-3 applicants when they file the I-130 (part of the K-3 process). Historically the K-3 was used to allow the US Citizens spouse to enter the US faster than waiting for the I-130 to be approved (since that used to take a long time). Recent reductions in processing times have allowed I-130's to be approved quick enough that the IR1/CR1 visa process has been a quicker and better option for K-3 applicants. If this happens the K-3 applicant can abandon the K-3 route and persue the IR1/CR1 instead.

How do you abandon the K3? I have received approval notices for BOTH the I-130 and I-129F. I would like to do the CR1!

I have the same question for both, I know take the INTERVIEW for whatever is quikiest or the sooner but who or when do we tell them that we will do I-130 instead of I-129F, do we call them or tell them? Or is it by default? Thanks!

The above statement was right, you both have to have the G325 and the names need to be matching or it will cause some delays and possible of more documents need to be file. Like a certified documents for correction... you may need for them to have that corrected, less hassle in the long run. Get a documents proven that that's the real name for the parents and have it certified.

Wow, that long uh and no records on site? Well few options are try to get those people involved in the divorce and certified a letter stating that they were legally divorced. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresI-130 and I-129F (K3) time frame/updates?
My case was done in JUNE 2008 so WAITING is the name of the game, yes there are few got their approvals already within 3 months. I guess its depends because if I filed on June and few people filed on NOV and got their approval... then the system is not really that fair. Gooodluck!

Thank you. That's reassuring. I'm just undecided whether or not to make the DS-230 same as G-325a or make the correction there.

Go with your BC, that's a legal documents... then get an Notorized statements from people that know about your paperwork.

You may hit a few hiccups later on if something doesnt match, spend few dlrs or pesos to get a notorized affidavit that what need to be corrected.

When my last name in BC was spelled "Z" but I used "S" throughout my entire life, they wont give me my VISA till it was corrected. I have a Notorized form stated that my name was indeed with "S", took it to the court, pay the fees and gave me my BC with the correction attached to it. I went to embassy with it and got my VISA.

Should my mother do this? I still don't know if I should go with what's in my G-325a or make the corrections for the DS-230.

WHAT I DID WITH MINE IS GOT A STATEMENTS FROM RELATIVES, WENT TO COURT, PAY THE FEE, ADJUSTED MY BC CAUSE IN MY VISA ITS STATES MY LAST NAME SPELL WITH S, WHICH IS THE ONE I USED ALL THE TIME, BUT BC SPELLED IT WITH Z, SO I HAVE TO CHANGED IT FOR THE INTERVIEW..

whos fill it out? the petitioner or the foreign? and its just to set the adress they want to receive mail about they application? and they should fill it our its okay if they didnt?

thank you

The DS3230 is fill by the Benificiary making the Petitioner as the Choice of An Agent if she or he wishes to do so. The purpose it to make it quiker to get the paperwork instead of sending back and forth to the overseas, which take longer.
